Ohia no Ki was the best choice, she sounded AMAZING, I am in love with this performance, the dress is everything, she is glowing, her voice control makes so happy fo her.

She gave us real good stuff this year, and we still have the whole December yet to go!

love in music 3rd December 2020 01:37 AM

Wow wow wow. I am SO proud of her. She sounds so beautiful and looks breathtaking. I always loved her big poofy dresses she liked to wear around winter promoting her winter ballads. She still looks just as beautiful as she did 14 years ago promoting JEWEL, and sounds just as beautiful. This is giving me feels and nostalgia, reminding me of the excitement I used to get years ago around winter with her winter songs & poofy dress lives. Now I feel like I need to go on an ayu winter live binge!

This was such a good performance! I love the dress and the hair! She sang very well too!

MelKeigo 3rd December 2020 05:05 AM

It was wonderful!! She sounded great, and much better than when she sang it in the middle of the year (saigo no trouble? I forgot ahha)
The dress was beautiful and everything fit together so well
I'm in love <3

Probably her best performance this year, although there's screaming here and there.

attractive nausea 3rd December 2020 10:04 PM

She really did THAT. 2020 is such a good year, perfect everything from the queen.

Sorry I had to laugh lol

But yeah, ayu’s vocals have been sooo great this year. Haven’t seen the performance yet but I can make myself an idea.

taskinillusion 3rd December 2020 11:46 PM

:laugh Yeeeahhh okay....

This performance was perfect. She was controlled with her vocals and didn't try to overdo anything, and just let it be soft and natural. It was amazing. It made me emotional and I confess I cried. She also looks so beautiful. :heart

This (pre-recorded) performance is even better. A lot of JEWEL's TV lives already had raw, uncontrolled vocals with some shouting and a lot of off key parts.

kotora 4th December 2020 02:44 AM

LOL @ the comment 2020 is such a good year.

Minttulatte 4th December 2020 02:55 AM

I absolutely adored everything about her performance on FNS. Everything was pure perfection. <3

I can't stop laughing at that too.

Great performance - Ayu's vocals were excellent, and her dress was gorgeous.

And I'm just going to write it: The lack of dancers made this performance all the more better, and reminded me of her TV lives pre-2008ish. She really doesn't need them at all for ballad performances at least - she has the charisma and presence to be engaging with only herself and the band.

adrtwb 4th December 2020 11:45 AM

This live is surprisingly good, which seems “too good to be true”.
Queen still has it!

There's no need for all of you to be purposefully obtuse; obviously her comment was about 2020 being such a good year for us as fans and for Ayu herself.

In terms of the quality of her work and what we've all been lucky enough to enjoy as overseas fans through her streaming performances and her new music, then yeah--she's kept us fucking fed this year. Especially when you compare it to previous years of her just touring nonstop through Japan which were great for domestic fans but straight torture for most of us.

So yeah, I'd say 2020 has been such a good year for everyone that still gives enough of a damn to keep up with Ayu and the work she's doing.

Earth_maiden 4th December 2020 09:57 PM

^Ayu saved 2020 for me, and I'm sure for a lot of other people as well.

What?! My comment you quoted had to do with someone saying her performance still had screaming parts....

yup, true, and

We all need to agree that

2020 is such a good year.

truehappiness 5th December 2020 06:45 AM

2020 is a great year for Ayu tbh. It may be her best vocals ever potentially barring maybe ONE other year. Lots of great lives and the babies!

Not really a fan of the poking at the comment because it was kinda clear what it was about...

Katsuyuki012 5th December 2020 07:27 AM

^agreed.
