This word has been used as a pronoun of natural beauty in Japan. There have been many many traditional poems and pictures whose theme was hana, tori, kaze and tsuki. And in this lyrics, it's quite obvious that she was inspired by this word. But, as far as I know, there has never been such lyrics as "hana no you ni ..." "tori no you ni ..." "kaze no you ni ..." "tsuki no you ni ..." in the songs of other singers. In other words, she followed Japanese tradition of beauty, but added new arrangement to it. Excellent lyrics.

Masa, I know that the "ka-chou-h/fuu-getsu" has to do with the kanji of "flower, bird, wind, moon", but I was wondering just what does is mean in relation to the kanji?

^ I think the word kachouhuugetsu acts as a noun. For example you would say 'I am enjoying the the sight of the kachouhuugetsu of this place', or something similar to that effect. Think of it as one word which basically means the beauty of nature, but not literally wind bird flower or moon.
