This SEL thing...I don't think you can make it sound good if you just count syllables exactly. Sometimes you want to hold a syllable for two syllable lengths to avoid awkward cadences.

I love rocking out to evolution. Best. rocking. out. ever. I had a lot of trouble figuring out how she sang "bokura wa kyou wo okutteru whoa yeaaaaa..." I kept replaying the song over and over at that point to try to figure out how which syllables went with which notes. I could sing up to speed after I got that part. I study Japanese, so I think that helps with being able to pronounce the syllables fast enough. The mouth probably needs practice pumping out syllables really quick if your native language isn't like that. English totally isn't...it's full of consonant sounds and glides.

hmm.. i dont specially learn them. but as new songs come, i will jus keep on listening to them until a point that i can sing most parts of it..

Well, I sing ayu’s song last time I went to karaoke with my friends. In fact, I actually manage to sing “Because of You” and “No way to say”… I didn’t really remember what other songs she has in that karaoke (they don’t have all of her songs there)

However, tomorrow, I am going again to the karaoke with my friends and definitely, I’ll try out “M” (yeah, that’s the only song I could remember they have in the karaoke since I didn’t really want to sing at that time. Sore throat that time) So, yeah, basically I actually remembered everything.

I was actually surprised my local karaoke has Ayumi’s song.

You all know what karaoke is, right?

I memorize those songs I like and then practise it til I can sing it flawless ^^v

I don't have to try that!
I am listening around 20 times to a song and can sing it without lyrics^^

But I don't sing in front of people-I only sing sometimes Karaoke alone for myself..or if I am at home-it's a habit ^^

I always think it would be awesome to perform a few Ayu songs at my college on a big stage and everything. It's always the songs I rock out to, like surreal, evolution, and connected. And I'd get decent at electric guitar so I could play the solos lol. I'd engineer something to get the guitar to play techno effects and tap the hell out of that guitar during connected. And I'd be all into the songs and emotional and Ayu would be singing herself THROUGH me... People would be like whoa, what's THAT? and then the whole place would be like we love Ayu too! And I would be the official Ayu wiseman. Too bad I can't sing, tee hee.

When I listen to a japenese song multiple times, I know the lyrics to most parts of the song.. For Ayu; I think I can sing every song released after A Song for XX

Uhhmm...I actual won´t say I can sing but I´m surprising fast at learning songs and I can nearly every song I like out of mind...so I don´t just try...but later on I have to look on the lyrics for correct spelling ( and btw I´m much better on singing namie songs XD)

Yeah, I know partly some lines of her songs. But, the problem, I don't understand Nihongo!! ^^
