If by what's true, you mean the fact that she wrote or cowrote all the songs, then yes, it is true. I'm quite proud of her for doing that. I always respect artists who have input in their own music, rather than letting their labels control them.

^ I think they were referring to the cancellation of the summer tour, which is true. They are re-thinking it.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They better not cancel it. I was gonna buy tickets :no

Neo Daydream 16th June 2007 04:40 AM

album cover makes me think of Amy Lee... plus she has a track called "Haunted" ^^ but i think it'll be really good. Kelly rox!

panda87 17th June 2007 06:32 AM

it confirmed on Yahoo Music that she canceled her summer tour b/c of the lack of ticket sales. she also fired her manager. she felt she made the better decisions as she says "i felt better going with my gut"....

and her "never again" song only made it up to No. 8 then dropped down lower quick. she's not doing too great right now, but it just hasn't started yet for this new era for kelly, i don't think. i'm excited for her and i think she's gonna kick a$$ again like she used to.

ruixiong89 18th June 2007 03:10 PM

Ok, firing your manager is a little extreme. I'm not really trusting her hunch on this. I mean cancelling the summer tour and everything, she's really taking a tumble this time round. I just hope she's really sure that this will all turn out for the better.

I have to agree. I think she might have shot herself in the foot by firing him. If the tour's cancelled, that's already a huge amount of promotion that she lost, as well as sales of course. If the album doesn't sell well enough (and judging by Never Again's apparantly poor download ranks, it might), then she may really be screwed.

panda87 19th June 2007 07:28 PM

i'm afraid she's going to go down down down down down............... but i'm hoping she doesn't. things are just a mess for her now... *sigh*

well kelly herself has made it very cleqar that she didn't give a damn about being a star, she just wants to write music herself. i think she's getting what she wants, even if its not what we or the record label wants. im happy for her.

Again, she doesn;t care about the sales or anything. she herself even said she knew the album wouldnt sell like Breakaway did, she wanted to do something for herself, i don't think it was ever about her career or her money or her popularity. i think it was about her writing her own songs, and being respected as a writer as well as a singer. she's trying to prove she's not just a powerful voice. So I dont think of this new album as such as much as I see it as a step forward for women's rights in the music industry. I think in the long run, no matter what happens to her career, shell be happy and successful.

JesA 19th June 2007 09:58 PM

^ well said...even though she doesn't really care, i think sales are still gonna be strong...cuz she has loyal fans like us :D! and it's not like there has to be promotion...everybody already knows about the album, and they either want it or not...

cloud♥honey 19th June 2007 10:25 PM

I hate this album! It's her most idiot album...

I prefer Breakaway!

veggie 24th June 2007 05:10 AM

Omg i love haunted it is sooo good I really like the part where she goes "where are you I need you" in the voice box lol!!!!!

JaysenRyan 26th June 2007 09:37 PM

OK now that my original dislike for the album hs faded, and i have grown to love it, i can give a proper review.

1 - Never Again - I love this song, it's edgy, fast, dark, and the video was amazing.
2 - One Minute - The production could have been a little better, sometimes her voice really pierces, but the song itself is amazing and catchy, i hope it's a single.
3 - Hole - Initially I didn't think much o fthe song,as it was a bit repetitive, but it grows into a fierce rocker and i enjoy it.
4 - Sober - Such a beautiful song, and one of my favorite styles of songs are the builders, which start out slow and get better towards the end.
5 - Don't Waste Your Time - Well it seems she was predicting the reaction to the song when she wrote the song, it's ok but very forgettable.
6 - Judas - My absolute fave song on the cd. I pray this is a single, i think it would get better radio play than never again.
7 - Haunted - Great song, very good.
8 - Be still - not a fan of tis song, but it's nice.
9 - Maybe - very melodic and very nice. i like it alot.
10 - How I Feel - it's a bit boring, like walk away was at first, but it can be one of those come-in-from-behind growers.
11 - Yeah - ok i just adore this song, it's diferent, i'll give it that. but it will be on repeat soon.
12 - Can I have a kiss? - It's a good soing and all, but it is a bit slow and boring. I don't know why people say so many good things about it, not that it's bad. but this song shouldn't be single. radio will forget it.
13 - Irvine - Very sad, depressing song, yet somehow very healthy for venting and stuff.
14 - Chivas (Bonus Track) - OK This really reminds of of Jewels first cd, her song Painters, where she tells a story and it's very sad and slow and melodic, and her voice really portrays the emotion in the song.

All in all I like it alot. 8/10, whereas Breakaway was a 9/10. But something says this album will last on me better than Breakaway did.

OH BTW I actually paid for this cd, WELL worth it. Go Support Kelly damnit, show the record label that they don't control the sales! Show that Kelly's true sound is the one we crave!!!!

xiaou-xijiang 26th June 2007 10:24 PM

When I listened to the album I was hoping for something a bit more. Her songs seemed like a repitition of a style that's getting really repititive and bland. the songs she choose really didn't show her talent. Only a few tracks really complimented her voice.
It seems that the songs she chose in this experimental style made her voice too tame, instead of to the best of her ablities. I'm a bit disappointed with it, but I'm gonna hold off on my final judgement until after a few more listens.

bondingo 27th June 2007 11:14 AM

I want to buy the album so bad but I have to wait until I get back to America on Friday. I'm still in Tokyo, where this album does not yet exist. I haven't downloaded it either, as I've planned on buying it in the store all along.

marty518 27th June 2007 03:59 PM

I bought My December yesterday! It's on sale at most of the big retailers for $9.99 so it's not a bad price. I hope Kelly gets #1!

pinapnut 28th June 2007 12:58 AM

I can't wait to go buy it. I like Kelly's newer music much better, it seems like she's really breaking away(no pun intended) from the American Idol image that got her started.

ayu DIOR 7th July 2007 07:43 PM

Ugh. My December is so bland and unoriginal. It would've been better if she didn't yell in EVERY ONE OF THE SONGS! Plus the lyrics are so junior high. I can't take her seriously writing like that. "I love you, but now I'm drowing in my misery. Save me!" *Gag* Clive Davis was right about this album. Listen to the man Kelly! You last album was so much BETTER!
