Ugh, blame that on EMI! They want to release that funky UH clip collections instead of CD+DVD versions of her singles/albums. The next installment of the UH clip collection wouldn't be good at all since she hasn't done a PV with her actually in it. I think Hikki is the only artist there who stick to American way of releasing albums (CD only). Hmmm....maybe EMI see more of a profit if they just release a CD only or they just care for their customers and don't want them having a hard time choosing which version they want to have!!!! :laugh

EMI: THAT'S JUST LAME!!!

I don't know but wouldn't releasing a CD Only / CD + DVD be more profitable (well not this one) but let's say like Deep River. Like having those incredible symbolic PVs on an edition of the album would help sales? Or so I would think? Anyway, I don't want a seperate DVD for the PVs, that's just lame. Even Namie who did those Filmography things spanning across like 2 albums' worth of PVs released PLAY in 2 editions so Hikki should too.

I'm pretty sure they worked together because they were under the same label. I think Utada is their only Japanese-English person. So they spoke about her when they thought "oh hey we do have a japanese asian, what's her name?" because he's singing these with different people of different territory...

It doesn't help though, that Utada's vocals absolutely SUCK in this song. That's my opinion though.

Hopefully she'll actually work with him in a song, because his NeYo/Rihanna song is great.

I'ma go LMAO @ the fact we'll probably have to wait 5/6 months for another single again. Still, at least she's not as bad as OLIVIA. D:

Luv ~Venus~ 18th November 2007 12:04 AM

^No! :weep I can't wait that long for another single. :grumpy I hope she hurries with the single and the album. I can use some more Hikki more than I can with Utada!!!

Question: Does anyone know why Hikki stop getting nominated for MTV awards?

I know its random but I felt her videos like Colors and Dareka something something could have be picked for nominations and stuff!!!

Mini-Hikki News Everyone!

On HMV, Flavor of Life is the #1Japanese single and Beautiful World/Kiss&Cry is #4! Congrats to Hikki for kick ass this year! So happy for her! I hope her success for this year will be the same for next year.

HMV single ranks for 2007

That's all for now! :)

ayumisrael 20th November 2007 01:34 AM

Yay! congrats hikki!
ayu's glitter/fated is #26 and talkin' 2 myself is #83, that's pretty nice!
I'm happy ayu's and hikki's singles are there ^-^

Sweet_Ai 20th November 2007 01:37 AM

I always wondered what would Utada would look like if she dressed like Ayumi and dyed her hair blonde like Ayumi's.

Anyways, I can't wait until her new single Stay Gold comes out. I love what I've heard of it.

Luv ~Venus~ 20th November 2007 01:38 AM

I thought that glitter/fated deserve to be in the top 25. I tryin' to figure out what HMV based it on: sales? votes? what?

yukihira 20th November 2007 01:39 AM

YAY HIKKI!

-throws balloons-

Well 26 is almost the same lol.

Umm I think they base it on online orders or sold copies through HMV or both... not sure.

Full song (or part of it) sounds good actually! I like it. Still, she could've done so much better, she totally sucked in some parts. Oh well, she did something great for her label.

Mirai Noah 20th November 2007 04:55 PM

Wow, the song is pretty good! :D

Kaiouforever 21st November 2007 03:28 AM

What's up with wikipedia? It says her untitled english album will be out in 2008 (which is possible) but it says her next Japanese album will be out 2009/2010. Lol whoever put that up is so wrong, it wouldn't make any sense for her to do that, especially with the huge success of Flavor of Life, waiting that long to put out the next studio album would be too risky for EMI I think. *shrug*

sora2522 21st November 2007 03:32 AM

^ that's really weird...

on a side note, this thread's 3 star material...(wtf?!)
