No, there's no replacement for oricon.

i think it's pretty normal for artist to go down sometimes...it's ayumi turn finally..

namie went from way high..to down...then WAY down..then slowly up and now at the top...

this is the true spirit of a 'most-successful female artist' title given her in her 90's ^_^

I think it's better to wait before throwing on the party about Ayumi's "downfall"

They are on break. They have the sales but aren't updating the site.

It's just a sample of Oricon's daily charts.

I think they mean that finally, after 9 years, Ayumi won't have a studio album that tops the chart.

ayumisrael 3rd January 2008 04:08 PM

Maybe?

I see it as a "it was about time Ayu flopped". XD

When I think about, I don't think I would mind Ayu being #2 or #3. I think Ayu herself won't feel the pressure anymore to always be at the top of the chart like she always did. Maybe it would be kind of a relief?

Queen Bee 3rd January 2008 04:10 PM

I'm not assuming anything until Oricon updates the site.

That's a great thing to do, people can learn from you.

hmm i think Ayu would be disappointed because she did put alot of her heart into this album abuot her friend passing away and she also said she wanted us to listen to the album and feel it too, so it would be sad for her knowing that not as many ppl care about this album....

but i hope Ayu pulls through!!! it's also her 10th anniversary!!! and her big 30 coming up!!!

yoshino 3rd January 2008 04:18 PM

Go go Ayu!!

criminal 3rd January 2008 04:21 PM

I'm sure that Max or some other avex executives would go *headdesk*x34682 if they found out that their essence is gone. [LOL, over-exaggerating again, but they did work hard to keep the streak as long as they could.] If it does go, they'll have to work EXTRA-hard to keep the singles one alive. D:

elepop 3rd January 2008 04:28 PM

I personally don't think Ayu minds being #2 or whatever. I think that after 10 years of being the J-Pop Queen, if she ends up being #2, it wouldn't make her sad. She have accomplished so much already. Having a few #2 wouldn't be the end of the world. But avex... LOL. they would probably freak out.

4 days to go before the big revelation...

ayumisrael 3rd January 2008 04:31 PM

"JAPAN'S NEWS: A bunch of a certain company people have burst into some HMV and tower records stores seemingly firing up all of kobukuro's new album copies leaving a message saying: NO ONE BREAK OUR STREAKS, NO ONE".

:laugh

Luv ~Venus~ 3rd January 2008 05:53 PM

You guys are freaking out on me! *SLAP TO EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU*

Chill, o-kay! The chic has #1, no biggie!!!! Have faith! HAVE FAITH! When Ayu get #1, this will make AVEX realize that they need to include more stuff on Ayumi's album...let's say, 18 PVs for 16 songs...that way, people will be more attracted to her stuff. It will make them also realize that they need to step you their game will her. Ugh, they are so focused on their "younger" acts. (>_>)
