Instead of refuting that, I'm just going to let you think about what you just said.

I think he means sales, not chart life.

Princess Sohee 29th August 2008 05:05 AM

namie only break million in sale\'s because of government conspiracy

WHY the government do such a think you ask? of course . to bribe oricon.

♥ you! 29th August 2008 05:07 AM

^ The Japanese goverment is a bit late. They should of bribed since genius 2000 :D

ville 29th August 2008 05:35 PM

i think that PLAY sold kinda well...
only 30 k less than GUILTY ...

blue_yet_stronger 30th August 2008 03:18 AM

Any Namie fan would know that PLAY which is a STUDIO ALBUM, did VERY WELL as far as SALES and CHARTS are concerned... It may not have sold a million like BEST FICTION but PLAY sold very well. PERIOD.

Then you get the point. Very good. PERIOD, EXCLAMATION POINT, and all that Jazz.

I said, let's see if she can do what she did HERE WITH THIS COMPILATION ALBUM, with a STUDIO ALBUM. If "PLAY" sold a million or close to that, please forgive me, but if it didn't, why do you feel as if it applies to anything that I said?

i wonder what will happen till the end of the year :P?

Luv ~Venus~ 3rd September 2008 03:35 AM

^Nothing major should happen for the rest of the year. I highly doubt that A Complete will be a challenge for Best Fiction. We can forget about Kuu releasing a best album and even if she did, it wouldn't sell as much as her last (big) best album. Perhaps AVEX is planning to release a best or compilation album for BoA. =/ I have doubts that'll do as great as BF tho. There's still question as to what Hikki will do for her 10th anniversary. I don't think EMI will release a best album nor compilation album since Hikki just released Heart Station. Unlike last time with SC, I think she has more control over what of her stuff can be released.

But if you really think about it, there was already a statement saying BEST FICTION is a hybrid between an original Studio Album/Best Album. 5 of the songs are newly recorded and the rest are just part of the collection so it's kinda hard to see it as just a best album.

In the same way it's hard to see Koda Kumi's BEST~second session~ as just a best album?

Celaphorce 11th September 2008 09:37 PM

^Exactly!, I never saw that album as a best, I just saw it as a studio album.

SheFliesHigher 12th September 2008 05:45 AM

Namie's stuff has been really great ever since PLAY, so I'm happy to hear this.

nEwly 14th September 2008 01:42 PM

Great. Namie! :) I love her but I think Ayu is more friendly ^.^

Or maybe Ayu's just a friendly person?

But, there is a chance that Ayu's Singles Collection might outsell this. I guess we'll see in two weeks.

Ayumi27 16th September 2008 05:35 AM

I believe that AC won't outsell BF, but sales aren't the ONLY thing that matters, both are great artists, and commercially succesful too. Namie also deserved a million seller too after such a long time, Ayu is more accostumed to them haha

Lol, this is true. I wonder what Ayu did when Guilty only got #2? And I love how I say "only #2" as if #2 is a bad thing.

i "discoverd" namies music like 2 months ago. ive known her since like 2002 though.. same time when i started to listen to ayu and got into jpop music. but i never really botherd listening to miss namie amuro.
shame on me right?

but i bought best fiction and i downloaded all of her previous albums and i'm in love with her now. why didn't i listen to her sooner?!! argh.

i'm really happy to see miss amuro sells so much now. because from what ive read her previous albums weren't that succesful at all

go namie ! :D

RyRyMini 18th September 2008 11:35 PM

I'm glad this was a huge success. It's no longer at number one but I guess it can't stay there forever.

I would have replaced White Light with Violet Sauce though. xp
