Chill out folks. Its not like Ayu hasn't been accused of copying other people either. We've had PLENTY of those threads in our forums already. I mean after all these years of musical albums and concerts from all the artists in the world, how do you expect something not to look the least bit similar to something else? In 100 years from now, I bet if someone made a music video that looked like alternas, they are going to say "omg that person copied that jpop singer ayumi hamasaki from the 1990s/2000s."

i generally just don't like Beyonce but i'm not a hater and won't go all "she sucks" on her, i have nothing against her calling her album I am... because that's realy not copying. there are A LOT of albums called I am... and it's a great title for an album and for a song.

and it's not going to mean anything for Ayu, not good or bad. people that have never heard of Ayu won't suddenly hear about her just because Beyonce has the samt album title.

and again i have to say that i REALLY don't beleave that she's a fan of Ayu or Kuu, she has never heard any of their songs (i'm 98% sure of that). that's all just marketing and for making more fans in japan.:D

Seriously IMO somebody gave Beyoncé a list of the most famous singers in Japan and she said Kumi & Ayu at random just to make her sell more CD's, I don't think she ever listened to their music. But "I am..." seems to be a popular title for albums XD

So her saying that she likes Ayu and Kuu is perfectly normal for a person is just being introduced to asian music. =/ Most new j-listers listen to some of the most popular artists in j-pop and ayu and kuu happen to be the "it" listeners in J-pop.

Wow this has nothing to do with it. It's just because japanese music is not as popular as english music in the world. Very few people in France for example know japanese music, and in western countries too I think. And if I and ren are doubting she listens to Ayu or Kuu, it's just because she was doing her promotion in Japan, and she said she liked Kuu & Ayu it's too much of a coincidence (like a French singer named M.Pokora he said in his Japan promotion that he liked Namie). That's why I think it's to be naive to think that she really ever listened to them.

She's been in Japan many times and she was bound to get exposed to her music. She was prolly introduced to J-pop by someone or she coulda found out about herself while there. We'll never know but I think she was being herself when she said she liked Kuu and Ayu.
