GOOD LOL
IM SO HAPPY
i thought for sure we'd be watching ayu run down those spiraling stairs for a full verse and chorus LOL
there was a constant plot and in the end, it was a very nice pv! it didnt have to be really exellent, but given the song it's nice how they did the playboy ending!
song: GREEN > Days
pv: Days >>>>>>>>>>> GREEN

sorry implicit homosexual messages, i didnt get you very well =(

jon_the_d 3rd December 2008 10:25 AM

one more thing, just cos the ring is on the GF's "ring" finger (what we call it in UK), doesn't mean they're married, it could mean they're engaged, or it could mean she has bigger fingers than ayu. A lot of girls where rings on that finger even when they are single or w/e.

Also, about Ayu having a Dior ring from MikaJohn? a cheap ring from the person you love is going to be worth WAY much more than an expensive ring from a friend....

It said 6:01 in which Ayu meets with Shuya, then later it says 8:01 in which the same scene repeats except with non-friends and a sadder outcome. I figured the rendezvous was a dream but I can't tell if the rest up till the 8:01 rendezvous is a dream or reality.

My interpretation is the ring scene was a flashback. Ayu+Shuya are friends. As they walk to the dance studio, they run into a merchant on the street selling rings. Ayu was pointing out that the ring was nice, and put it on her finger to show how it would look. She possibly was hinting him to buy it for her, but nothing is intended since they are just friends. The merchant asked if it was for her and Shuya said "oh shes not my girlfriend".

I think the scene was real because Ayu cries later when seeing the ring on another girl. Shuya meant a lot to her, but the ring did also. She had to have seen it somewhere IN PERSON. Only problem is during the 8:01 rendezvous, Shuya kinda gives a half-smile as if he barely knows her, which Shuya was friendly in the 6:01 rendezvous and the ring scene. So did she really see that ring before or was it part of the dream too?

This PV surprisingly makes you think! And its not like that homoerotic crap from GREEN PV! Takahide Ishii, great job on another ballad pv! Part of me, Days, I await your 3rd masterpiece.

Yea flashback...I never thought of that actually..it Could be...dreams and reality are so hard to differentiate really...

and Ishii also did momentum and Together When... which just adds to his masterpieces (unless u disliked both of them)

argh, cant believe i'm saying this but i actually liked the song :no

lol..hmm..why does it feel like u were waiting for something bad...so you could criticize upon? shouldn't it be a smily face at the end of that sentence..?

@jon_the_d ::: Hahha..oops ok. I'm not very sure about it but that's what the general meaning for it is right? yea...

CeReSu 3rd December 2008 10:35 AM

Aaaah very surprising!
I really like this PV and his history so true I think.
Ayu is very beautiful, and shuya.... euh, bad shuya LOL

No no, finally, it is a really good PV, better than GREEN I think!

The song is nice, and not boring like I said before, just chorus are so long.
And sure, it is really HAL, *boring HAL*

tbh, after GREEN, I couldn't help but completely wiped out all expectations I had of Ayu. This song and PV were surprisingly pleasant though.

sanzo2011 3rd December 2008 10:44 AM

This Pv 's good not great ! i hope it had more snow ! and i still think Green music's better than Days ! but ok ! Days 's not bad at all , at least i can understand Pv's story !^^ !

Momentum is a good pv, but the song itself isn't that great. I wish she did a pv for another song instead of Momentum.

Together when has a nice story plot, but ayu's acting (yeah her acting again) was quite weird, and the editing wasn't that great.

I think I haven't repeatedly watching an ayu pv for a long time. (The last one was JEWEL, simply because ayu was very beautiful inside the pv...). I think Days pv is simple, but it has lots of elements inside, and I think the editing is really good (i.e., the transitions between scenes, how the scenes incorporate into the music, etc.).

Yeah it's confusing that nowadays a ring on the ring finger doesn't mean he/she is married. And I totally agree about your last statement. It doesn't matter what kinda thing it is (of course I hope it's not a piece of trash), as long as it's from your love, it should worth a million more than an expensive thing from someone else.

I'm kinda agree with you on this one, except I was only scared by GREEN (the song + the pv... I hate both). I did gamble myself by putting higher expectation on Days tho when I saw the preview. I'm so glad that it's better than what I've expected.. :D

Calico 3rd December 2008 10:50 AM

I had to watch it twice to come to a conclusion, but I think I'll like this (the PV) as much as GREEN. (Which, to clarify, I loved, kthnx) Song wise, though, GREEN wins. Days is a good song, but I've heard it from her before. I really like the verse/bridge but the chorus is just kinda cheese to me. =\ But it is catchy and I'm sure I'll listen to it a lot when I'm in an "ayu ballad" phase.

My favorite part of the PV? When she gets that "...lol whut" look on her face when Shuya puts back the ring. I seriously laughed. XD

ayumisrael 3rd December 2008 11:11 AM

I really liked the PV... at the end I was like Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
*hugs*...

For the song yeah, it even better than what I thought from the preview and became my favorite ballad taking Moments 1 spot down ^^. I love Days. love love.

GREEN is experimental and I like it's orientalness, I like the song but Days wins for me. ^_^

miroro 3rd December 2008 11:12 AM

it was really CUTE!
i was crying watching the end. Ayu looks really pretty. and the song is very cute and bittersweet.

I love this single!!

Ayunk 3rd December 2008 11:29 AM

This has gotta be the nicest PV this year :luv2 Ayu was like so cute whenever she came out of the room and then she would bump into someone accidentally. This PV kinda reminded me of No way to say.. i guess its the clock. And its definitely better than GREEN. :yes

Am I the only who didn't think Shuya was a player? My take on it was that she's in love with him, and was dreaming that she's in the other girl's spot, when in reality he already had a girlfriend. Unrequited love :cry

no, i already saw that part when i first watch it, coz during the second part ayu was wearing the same outfit and just waking up and the scence repeat itself, so i already tell that the first part was ayu's dream.

and the lyrics help too, it's a messge of being secretly in love.

a very touching pv, i cried just now.....some memories.....

MissElin_ 3rd December 2008 11:37 AM

WOW....

I mean....

Man this director is a PV god! I love love lvoe everything he have done! And this PV is probably the best he have done ever with Ayu!

I LOVE IT!!!

Its sad, its pretty, its beautiful, its warm, its snowy, its sad love, its friends love (I deeeeply love the ending with the friends taking care of her while shes crying).

And the music sounds FANTASTIC! Do we have any mp3 of this full song yet btw?

jon_the_d 3rd December 2008 11:39 AM

do we have the lyrics yet? I couldn't see them anywhere? with translation + romaji if possible?

agashi 3rd December 2008 11:52 AM

gyaa!!! kawaii PV!! i love the story line...so sad, huh? huhuhu~
in this PV...ayu dreaming have dream date with shuya right?

AyUmIXx 3rd December 2008 11:57 AM

woah just finished watching the PV..
i love it!!
i love the song.. very very winter feel...
Ayu looks so beautiful on the PV..

the PV storyline is pretty cliche~ and it's easy to predict~ maybe for everyone as well~

the first half of the beginning, showing Ayu's sitting on the couch and sleeping~ and we begin to see that Ayu woke up because of the motorcycle engine sound and she quickly went down from stair and meeting Shuya, i think this whole scene is the part of Ayu's dream~ i mean she's sleeping while dreaming about being with Shuya, because she has one-sided love to Shuya~ she wishes to be with Shuya..

then, on the reality, one scene showing Shuya and Ayu looked some rings at the jewelry stall on the street and Shuya asked Ayu to wear the ring, that Ayu thought, that ring would be given to her~
also showing how Ayu really likes Shuya by only watching him practicing dancing..at the studio..

then on the next scene, we can see the repetitive scene like on the beginning where Ayu woke up by the sound of Shuya's motorcycle engine, she thought that her dream would come true, then she just quickly went down from the stair again and starting to walk with a happy face, but then she found out that Shuya has another girl he likes already and there's the ring that Shuya and Ayu have choosen before..which is worn by the other girl...

Ayu's crying on the PV is just so sad...
i even crying when watching it..
Ayu's so cuteeee on the video! i love it..

right now.. i'm waiting to see the translation of the lyric!

Ayu looks so gorgeous in the PV. The song turns out to be very vry nice. Yes, it's a little cheesy but it's still not a complete "New" direction, but at last it dosen't sound like it belong right in one of her earlier albums or is ripping off anothr songs. It has elements from RAINBOWs ballads and MY STORY's music imo. It's rally very beautiful and very sad. Easier to listen to than GREEN, but not as fresh.

I liked it a lot!

Such a beautiful PV,and a beautiful song. It made me cry. T___T The last scene was so touching.

I agree with the interpretation of this PV where there are three scenes. Dream --> flashback --> reality. That one makes the most sense to me. XD

Ahhh, I can imagine myself being able to watch this PV over and over again~ :)
