I don't know about 1st day sales but I know it ended up selling around 260k. That would be cool if Days/GREEN sold around that amount.

kirei_ayumi 17th December 2008 04:28 PM

yay! that's pretty high
keep it up, ayu :P

Max_ZZZ 17th December 2008 05:20 PM

i wish we had a single with similar first day sales so we could at least estimate
but good job?
im afraid for the next two days lol

njanjayrp 17th December 2008 05:24 PM

Well if the it doesn't drop under 20 it will be ok ^_^ And I kinda doubt it will~

Kazeyomi 17th December 2008 05:31 PM

wow very good sales *_* gogo AYU!

I hope that the sales don't drop too fast after few days ._.'

Ahi_max91 17th December 2008 05:42 PM

OMG!!!
cool.....

Kikaru 17th December 2008 05:51 PM

I'm hoping it doesn't experience a sudden 2nd day drop, although I think this single's promotion strategy is actually quite smart (The main song for promotion turned out to be Days, a song that is more...mainstream? I guess than Green).

xLitax 17th December 2008 07:12 PM

That's really great news! *happy dance*

BoBo 17th December 2008 07:40 PM

I'm not surprised she got number one again, and congrats on her sales. I honestly want to see her not get number one, not to be an *** or anything, but I just want to see what happens if she does. Just saying *hides behind flame shield*

RikkuChii 17th December 2008 10:12 PM

Oh, yay! It's doing so good! I can't wait for my single to arrive..

In AHS:
- 90% of us will encounter depression. The recovery process may take several days to probly even several months.
- Many of us will curse the person who kill off ayu's no. 1. Most likely he/she will be a new artist.
- Some of us (not me btw) will try to dig the forum and see who curse ayu... LOL.

In music industry:
- that will end the only no. 1 streak in the current female artist category. Besides ayu I can't think of anyone else having this glory at this moment.
- that will probly also end ayu and avex having privilege for choosing a date to get a safe no. 1. If you follow the JPop music industry you'll probly understand what I'm talking.
- this may also make ayu stepping down from being one of the very top artists in Japan...

- a good thing (probly...), is that ayu and us don't need to worry about rankings anymore, so she can make a huge change on her music taste... Try out something new. Who cares about getting no. 2 or no. 3 anywayz?? The streak is gone and we won't need to pray for that anymore.

Yeah. This is pretty much how the things will go. Personally I hope this no. 1 streak will maintain as long as possible. Ayu has already lost no. 1 streak on albums (it took me several days to recover and accept this tragedy). I don't really want her to lose this remaining glory as well. Cuz what I suggest about the music industry part will probly true once the streak is done. Of course she may get no. 1 again later on, but it's another chapter.

We can also use Seiko as the example.. She was the female artist with the most no. 1 singles (24) before ayu getting that title. Once Seiko lost the no. 1 streak, she never got any no. 1 afterward. Not to mention she sorta became a joke later on...

Edit: Seiko has another record not broken yet --> 24 consecutive no.1s in female :shakehead. Looks like it's hard for ayu to break this record. :P
