I think Ayu and Midori just got close friend since GREEN PV and they used Midori in GREEN PV because Midori is the japanese word for green.

^ Its pretty obvious now since Ayu could have made the choice for her own concert to pick Midori as her dance partner but instead she used Maro. Its safer now to assume that the "super intelligent" Kazuyoshi just paired them up out because of the coincidence of Midori's name.

Btw, Ayu+Maro looked soooo much better.

She's probably just joking around with it, after all, she added to it during the PCDL emcee when Midoring was talking. Ayu was interrupting Midoring and what not and they were both laughing. They're probably just really close.

I have never heard of what you say, but is interesting indeed. someone may get offended of what i say, but i think some girls are hot.
