its so random to see 'ayu will attend Kouhaku' and the first post says "ayu might attend Kouhaku".

ayu better not sing Sunset.

She most likely will if she doesn't have a new song out by then.

Kazeyomi 10th October 2009 04:38 AM

I hope in a great performance :yes and less vibrato lol

Nice to see Momusu :heart (too bad no Koharu anymore ç_ç)

Lol. So much hate against me whenever I was just telling the truth. D:

Sunshine, I didn't say all of them were boybands, I just meant a lot of them are. And that's, obviously, true. So don't put words in my mouth, please. Also, I never said the white team had terrible vocalists, just that they're not as good as the red. Which is also true. EXILE, and the others, may not be bad singers, but they're not amazing; they certainly can't compete with, as I said, AI, ayaka or Kumi. And that's a fact. And Superfly, the best out of everyone...? No freakin' way. She is above average in singing ability, from the album I heard, but certainly not the best. You obviously don't know a lot about singing. :\

TL, there was no need for that last comment. I never, as I said to Sunshine, dismissed the boybands' vocal abilities. I simply said that they are not as good as singers as many on the red team. Also, Masaharu, yes, he's a very good singer. But Ken Hirai..? Not really. He's average, at best. As far as Ayumi's vocal ability... Her vibrato may be awkward, but I'd like to see you pull it off. I really doubt you could. It takes a great amount of control in your voice, and a lot of people don't have that. Not to mention her range is very good for just a pop star. She didn't start out very good, but Ayumi is an impressive singer now. And about Mika... Just because her voice is raspy, that doesn't mean she's a bad singer. She also has a very good range, and she has a great polished sound. You, also, seem to not know much about singing. >_<'

And I hope that comment above me isn't directed towards me, Karen. D: I would be hurt if somebody thought I didn't pay attention to the lesser known bands, because you have NO idea how many hours I've spent listening to unknown artists, only to be disappointed. I do give everybody a chance - I listen to at least one full album before making any judgment of them - so you can't say I'm biased or that I don't know because I'll only listen to certain people.

^ THIS :yes

That was the assumption I had when I was reading Crystal_Ageha's past posts on here

I apologise if I somehow misunderstood what you have written/wrote but you were giving me the assumption that ayumi's the best vocally outta the whole group of artistes that might be appearing at Kouhaku in due time

In response to Ken Hirai since he's 1 of the 1st few jpop artistes that I listened to when I started my jpop music journey , have you seen his live performance/concerts ?

how many artistes you know out there that can sound great if not even better live as compared to what you can hear on a CD ?

you just go & see his Ken's Bar performances gigs & it's just him with the microphone & just singing acapella & nailing almost every single song in perfect pitch

mcluva420 10th October 2009 05:20 AM

i think shes totally going :thumbsup

and..omg!
Namie!
AI!

this is too good to be actually going to be true :rolleyes

waterballoon 10th October 2009 05:50 AM

Oh Ken Hirai you sing worse than Ayu now... :weep

Anyway, I don't listen to the Johnnys but I do respect their omg-sales (it's really envious, XD) and I think Ayu will be in the event and God no please do not sing Sunset cos that single is over and done with, and the white team will win because... they do, :laugh

yoshino 10th October 2009 08:43 AM

Yeahh!! Of course Ayu shall appear at Kouhaku!! Hope her performance is the best!!
Hope the red team wins for once!!

SURREAL__RAINBOW 10th October 2009 08:45 AM

ohh if they pick the song and not ayu, they should pick a song from NEXT LEVEL xD I would love to see Curtain call <3

maze 10th October 2009 08:50 AM

^ wow. a TV performance of Curtain call would be awesome :luv2
but I hope it is of a new ballad single..

njanjayrp 10th October 2009 09:20 AM

^ expect either Rule or something from a new single.

This has never been a vocal contest lol, but the popularity one. Why do you think that the majority of artists they invite are the ones that sold the best during the year in question.

chloeM 10th October 2009 09:32 AM

ayu's in my RED~!

StarSUCKER 10th October 2009 09:48 AM

If Ayu performs in a New Years Eve music festival, doesn't that mean no CDL?

pommy48 10th October 2009 09:52 AM

^ she perform at Kouhaku first, then she goes off to CDL

asmAyumi1992 10th October 2009 10:08 AM

What is the red and white team is all about? I don't understand that written in the wikipedia

SunshineSlayer 10th October 2009 10:09 AM

Red team is the women's team. White team is the men's. It's a competition with the women vs. men.

njanjayrp 10th October 2009 10:25 AM

I personally don't care that much about the majority of so called "artists" on the white team. The only certain thing is that the red team is more diverse when it comes to just about everything at least in my opinion.

PEARL 10th October 2009 10:44 AM

ahh ayu~!
Whos this Hitoto Yo? sounds cute xD

Sadly alan hasn't sold enough to be at Kouhaku. :(

Why does the red team always have the better acts? Why does the white team almost always win?! LOL

They don't use the ball system anymore?!?!?!
:thud

I doubt there's any way to watch this program online when it airs?
Or could someone tape it and post it on Youtube or an uploader or something?
:afro

If you're referring to Kouhaku Utagassen it is going to be aired in late December and it's regularly uploaded to jpopsuki :)
