okay I found out one thing... BALLAD doesn't seem to have any climax, like it doesn't seem to build up to anything unlike You were... not a bad thing, but I don't exactly prefer such a style. :) still a very very grand and gorgeous song though.

i really like ballad so far, but for now i prefer You were... but they both still seem VERY promising! BALLAD is so so pretty/emotional ;_; i can't wait for both of them in full.
honestly though, i haven't felt this much emotion in ayu ballads in a long time. it's to the point where i feel like i can cry while listening, these are the types of songs that will be "classics" to me and will stick out above any other just pretty sounding ballad.

The lyric reminds me of M, which is nothing new, so I'm not really impressed. She could have written smth that wouldn't actually so much resemble some old song. As long as I like the music, I can deal it, I guess...

Yeah, it doesn't really build up... which is what I usually love in ballads. But at the same time, it has so much emotion in it and it sounds gorgeous. I can't tell too much from the LQ clip (THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING BY THE WAY CeReS!) but the arrangement sounds like it's going to be the highlight of the song.

But for You were... it kinda feels like it's the *response* to M, so there's some closure to the wish that M contained. But that wish didn't come true as seen in You were..., which is sad.

I like BALLAD so far. It's very pretty and I feel that it'll be much much better in HQ. You were...'s melody is prettier and has more potential though.

i really agree with you,as i listen to it again.for now i can hardly say which one i prefer more cos for me You were.. and BALLAD has it own strenght! :yes i love You were..for the music and the lyric and BALLAD has a beautiful arrangement.they also use the traditional instruemnt i guess.one thing for sure, Ayu is not running out of idea like some says for Sunrise/Sunset.i'm quite surprise that she would sing such a classic ballad again after a techno song like rollin',sparkle, energize, etc. well,you're all the time best singer Ayu! keep it up! :love
