She did a meet and greet after, did you hear them say that? omg I was mad.

I wanted her to do a signing though :(

and YES :laugh I forgot about the regular white guy lol

Meet and greet? No I did not hear them say that 0_o I wish there was a signing though...I'm not mad though....well I didnt bring my CD anyway cause I didn't think she would and it might have rained. When did you hear this? I never heard of this the whole time news of the tour was coming in....an online radio station Tainted Reality was giving out LA tickets though so it might've been from that...or it might've been exclusive for those who bought $40 hamburgers for VIP...or maybe it's just for the very rich/semi-famous....I dunno. It wouldve been nice but I wont dwell on it.

Yeah...bummer. =/

Some great footage of last night including Happy Birthday + the cake part:

I have a question for those who have already gone with the new security checks, were there people that were able to still bring in a camera? Even with the detectors? I mean where could you put it that they wouldn't detect it?

Polyrhythm 21st January 2010 05:12 AM

^Yeah. In fact, my dad brought a camera. It was in his jacket pocket. It wasn't for taking pictures though. he just took it out of the car because he didnt want to risk the valet parking driver stealing it 0_o They didn't find it on him on the check into the venue. However, even if you get in, you WILL be yelled at by security and as I posted above, I watched a girl get dragged out by the wrist and have her camera phone confiscated.

I went to the LA show and had a very nice view of a very large post for most of the show. :P Me and my friends didn't feel like fighting the crowds and spent most of the DJ stuff by eating fries and chips at the bar. Therefore, we ended up in the back during Utada. I never really liked This Is The One, but I really enjoyed the show. The biggest surprise for me was "Sanctuary". This was never one of my favorite songs, but it sounded awesome live. Honestly, she's prettier in person.

Minttulatte 21st January 2010 07:13 AM

Nice setlist. :D I didn't believe she sang her japanese songs but I really think it's actually cool. I like her japanese songs. Hopefully this will be released has a DVD. I wanna see this concert. *____*

Polyrhythm 21st January 2010 07:16 AM

^:yes A DVD wouldve been so nice....unfortunately...I didn't see any video cameras (@ emiko...you see any from up top? =[...) I hope that they record atleast one of the future concerts, NYC preferably.

Oh yeah...las vegas HOB is huge...if you havent bought a ticket yet, they're now selling seated tickets (2nd floor). If you are thinking about going....you REALLY should. Once in a lifetime chance and a great experience. I wish I could go AGAIN to the LV show. There's an age restriction though....16 or something cant remember. The seating looks interesting:

aww I see. Damn. Not cool.

The VIP actually wasn't that expensive. I bought like the cheapest thing, which was $12. The staff there was super laid back and friendly so the guy was like "you're supposed to buy an entree...but you can get a hamburger or a sandwich or something and I'll still sign the receipt."

So for people going to the other House of Blues...their menu might be different...but if it's an option, I definitely recommend doing the Pass the Line.

Maybe I should post that in the real thread...in case any of them arent in here...

Oh about the cameras, yeah there were. The entire thing was on camera, because there were TVs in the bar showing the concert. The TVs were like really dark though, because I kept looking back at them, but I remember not being able to see much on them except the stage lights...so I don't know about the recording quality or process or whats going on with it. But it was all on camera while we were there.

There were also professional photographers down in front, so I'm hoping for the pictures soon...they actually made me mad lol They took like a bunch of her while she was on the piano, and then like very few in other places...I was like WE NEED MOAR lol

I don't really have hope for the dvd...but I do want the pro pictures...

Hikki signing autographs after LA show (Private meet & greet through industry connections).

For those going to the NYC show: What time are you guys planning on starting to line up? I think I'm going to be there extremely early. I'm close to the venue so I'm ready to devote my whole day in line (as sad as that sounds).

danielquasar 23rd January 2010 01:19 AM

Seattle was amazing. I don't have much to say because it was all so surreal but my year is starting off with a BOOM and I cried a few times. Utada has put herself on a whole new level of amazing for me and forever will be my Number 1. I felt privileged that the universe let me have last night.

Polyrhythm 23rd January 2010 02:20 AM

New super HQ vid from the LA show:

I feel like I'm reliving it again and again....I kept thinking about the concert the past 3 days at school

O_O Yuck! Horrible outfit. Hikki seriously can't go for glamorous style. Her fashion sense was always weird when she tried to dress herself up. I rather she just wears a t-shirt and jeans...

tommy96814 23rd January 2010 05:43 AM

she did wear a t shirt in her hawaii tour lol shirt but with a glittery red pants.
