I'm not really a MM fan and I don't know much about Kaori so I can't really comment on your friend's statement. But Miyabi is one of the "triple main" in BK who usually get the most lines and are generally the most popular in BK rankings (from my experience) so it's not too surprising that she gets chosen for sub-groups . I think as of now though, she has been in the most sub-groups out of any of the other girls (Aa!, Buono!, Ex-ceed!, and Sexy Otonojan).

Miyabi has the best 'live voice' in BK imo, I mean she can sing well while doing the choreography

Miyabi's seen as more of a sex/attractive object than Kaori was. At least that's what I've observed. xD

And also, she does sing really well. The choreography doesn't count for much because Berryz's is always so campy and basic.

I really want Miya to get another PB since I didn't really like her 1st one that much. It wasn't bad but it wasn't that good either. She's gotten a lot prettier and more photogenic with age, so I'm sure if she released a PB now I'd love it. Also waiting for Saki3 and Aibon 2 to get theirs and of course, if Koha releases another one I'll be on that like soy sauce on a wonton. XD

Shining Power is going to be another Inazuma Eleven tie-in so it's probably going to be in the same rock style as the previous singles. I hope it's as strong as Otakebi though because Maji Bomber was admittedly weak in comparison. I do wonder what the hold up is... maybe Maji Bomber sales has them re-thinking their marketing tactics?

^Hmm, I think so too and Maji Bomber! is the lowest selling single by the four maingroups, if you look their latest singles.
UFA started a mass promotion when Maji Bomber sold 13 k on it's first week, so they managed to sell over 20 k.
it would be great that UFA would do that kind of promotion to all singles.

little bit less than their previous major single's sales, but I think that they are much better.

Shining Power sounded nothing like I expected but I like the song, it's just their vocals I don't like. The song itself sounds a lot better in full, it's really... groovy. lol Still not sold on the vocals though, it's like they took Otakebi Boy style and amped it up to a level their voices are not strong enough for yet.
