I don't think so - they fit the albums very well. Perfect example of something that's so over-the-top and totally not fitting for a cover would be the photoshoot for crossroad single. I mean... seriously. How hideous.

REALLY?!?! the outfit may be a little over the top. but i thought the actually picture and pose were very simple. The covers for ayu-mi-x 4 had so much going on in it i really didn't know where i should be looking.. lol

LOL, I love crossroad but that cover was ridiculous. The music more than made up for it though.

I was actually hoping Days would be cheesy. Well rather that I wouldn't mind had it been cheesy. But Aly & Fila was such an excitement - can't wait to hear it with vocals, along with the rest of AYUTRANCE!

Well, I usually prefer my Ayu trance remixes to be non-cheesy for some reason. That's one of the reasons that the first one is my favorite AyuTrance. There are virtually no cheesy tracks on it, except for the Svenson and Gielen remix (but that one is really good and completely fit the original song so I still liked it.) Although yeah, I do appreciate some good cheese every now and then. :P

Hmm, it's kind of hard to explain. I always thought of it as having the same or similar meaning as the word "corny." Like if I think something is corny, then I call it "cheesy" lol.

But some good definitions of cheesy that I found is this:

Trite, contrived, cliche, in poor taste.

It's pretty subjective, I guess, but these are what I'd consider some of Ayu's cheesier trance remixes.











I guess, I would classify a trance song as cheesy if something it about it sounds corny to me, or like if the instruments sound kind of cheap. Of course, I actually do like a lot of cheesy music including some of these remixes, and some people seem to prefer or like cheesy music all together, and that's perfectly fine too.

No way. the real me remix is my favorite trance remix of all time. I think it's amazing. I agree with the other remixes though. But even then. I think it's kind of hard to say what is really a crappy trance remix.

I really don't like the Flip & Fill remix (and not because it's cheesy, I just don't think it sounds good). On July 1st I tend to listen to the eurobeat remix instead.

They are kinda cheesy. Reminds me more of old-school, 90's techno than vocal trance.

I think a lot of vocal trance can get cheesy easily..especially lyrically. It's kind of different for trance remixes though, as we already know the original versions.

I like this Days remix, though it's only a dub. I'm surprised Avex didn't flip out on them for posting it. xD

Maybe Avex doesn't care if it's just the dub version? I remember before the first Ayutrance came out, Armin van Buuren dub remix of Appears and the Dumonde dub of Trauma (I think it was the dub) got played somewhere and we could hear preview clips of them.

I'm not really sure who posted it..but usually Avex will copyright claim something no matter who posts it. But maybe they don't have the *entire* rights of remixes? I'm not really sure how that works.

^ if Tetsuya Komuro posted Ayumi songs that he made before they were released, they probably couldn't do a thing. Or if Ayumi posted them, etc.

The remixers do hold partial rights to the songs and thus, they are allowed to post them.

They only have the rights for the vocal tracks, right? (Avex I mean). Thus a dub ver. was ripped. I'm sure they agreed on this beforehand in a contract.

I hope that little vocal part on that Days dub mix "this is the future sound of Egypt" won't be on the actual track of Days, when ayu trance 4 comes out xD

I hope not. I don't really like close up shots for ayu covers, especially when they use a lot of make-up to make her eyes look gigantic and creepy.

umm I had a dream ayu wasn't on any of the covers, and it was just her dancers, and they were dressed up trying to look like gangsters, and the covers were holographic. it was so weird. I usually don't dream, then when I do I have weird/frightening dreams like this D: I really hope ayu at least did a photo shoot for the covers.

holographic would be cool, espically with the trance. Like the huge A symbol she likes and it turns into an image of her.. futuristic or something

I wasn't feeling anxious in the least, but since everything else right now is pretty eventless, I find that I keep checking back to AHS to see if the covers (or preferably; new leaks!) are out :P

I'm very anxious for the covers, lol. I don't know why, but I get so turned on by the overall, polished look and feel of the physical packaging almost as much as the music itself. Music is kind of like food (except maybe for your soul), and, people usually "eat with their eyes first," you know? If it's packaged nicely, I'll probably receive it very well.

As long as they include the jewel cases per individual CD, as if I purchased the original four other albums and stuck them inside, I think that would be a cool packaging as well. It'd be totally awesome with a photobook, I think, too :)

I've been checking AHS daily since the second ayu-mi-x 7 thread was created, which makes me feel like a totally helpless fanboy. hahaha
I hope in the next three or so days, they'll release more information. It's driving me crazy.
