While I love TRICK and adore UNIVERSE, this album blows those two (plus Black Cherry) out of the water.

I don't know if I like it as much as Kingdom, but I haven't loved as many songs on an album since K!

I love it live too.. but it's bc the volume of the chorus is lower and she sings over it, it really makes a difference. if only the real song was that way.

on the subject of TRICK and UNIVERSE, I only saved a couple songs from each album (TABOO, Driving, This is not a love song, No way, You're so beautiful) and deleted the rest of that crap. they're unfortunately some of the worst J-pop albums I've listened to. I was extremely disappointed in Kuu with those albums and hope she never lowers herself to that quality again. she's so much better than that, and Eternity + Dejavu is proof.

TRICK has some amazing tracks (JUST THE WAY YOU ARE, show girl, Driving, Moon Crying, Ai no Kotoba) while Universe had a few too (You're so beautiful, No way, Stay, Comes Up, Physical thing)

tbh, I think they are both stronger albums than Black Cherry. I don't get the love for that album... it was basically made of singles and a few lackluster album tracks. I grew so bored of it too fast.

Black Cherry wasn't perfect, but damn it had so many amazing songs and that release was so exciting omg. I have so many good memories with that album :heart
Passing by has been stuck in my head all day.. her voice is heavenly in it. seriously.. her vocals in the ballads on this album are like, the most beautiful vocals from her ever imo.

I hated POP DIVA at first and i was like , oh this is her most disappointing song she ever did , I listened to it for once but after her amazing lives the song grow so much on me and i was like yeah this is my Kuu ,especially when i heard the 320Kbps I was officially in love with it :heart . Now i consider POP DIVA one of my favorite songs

I still love every song on Dejavu. <3 I gotta say that TRICK was a disappointment for me as well when it was released. Of course it grew on me but for me it lacks the proper Kuu feeling that Kingdom, UNIVERSE and Dejavu has. That is the main reason why I didn't like TRICK as much as I loved Kingdom which was, and still is, a masterpiece from my point of view.

Me too, and even if I didn't LOVE Universe from begining to end, there were some pretty awesome songs there. Not here though and I'm really disappointed. I think I'm going to just buy the singles I liked instead.

I'm loving UNIVERSE as well, but Dejavu is seriously topping it!
I didn't even think that that was possible. XD I just love that she is doing more R&B and urban stuff again, as well as her dancing, electro songs keep popping up.
TRICK is the weakest album from the last three for me, has some highlights, but also some bad songs.

I guess I never realized how bad TRICK was because I am/was obsessed with Driving, loved Show Girl and also really enjoyed This is not a love song, and really when I get 3 album tracks that I love (when it comes to Kuu), I'm ok with that because she releases so frequently.

There are such gems as TABOO, Driving and Moon Crying on TRICK.
But also Your Love, stay with me and Joyful... can't stand those songs. Also not a fan of Ai no Kotoba, but the recent lives of it were beautiful.
It's 60/40 % for me, I guess.

The prologue and interlude to Dejavu are awesome. The only new songs that stood out straight away were AT THE WEEK END and Bambi. I'll give the rest of the album time to grow on me, but I don't think it will beat Kingdom, TRICK, and UNIVERSE in my list of favourites.

Passing By would be much better without the man, seeing him in the video is more annoying :/

TRICK and UNIVERSE are more memorable, to me. Dejavu don't have so much songs that I feel "I have to listen this all the time" :(

yess I hate ai no kotoba so much. like seriously, her voice sounds so bad & whiny in that song. her ballads she releases now are so much better.
dejavu is my 3rd favorite kuu album now. I'm sick of secret now and I don't know why I considered it my favorite for so long. my top 3 are Black Cherry, Kingdom, Dejavu now.

How can you not love POP DIVA? It's one of her Best songs ever. It has become 5th top played song in my library in two weeks.

I don't think it even compares to her other dance songs, they're so much stronger. even just the covers of BE MY BABY & Megumi no hito on Eternity were worlds better.

Since I'm waiting to receive my copy of Dejavu before listening to it I can't say anything about that. But yesterday I watched Kingdom Tour for the first time, and I must say I rather enjoyed it. I never really took the time to watch the concert because Kingdom is one of my least favorite kuu albums, so I didn't really have any desire to watch the tour. But I'm glad I finally watched it because I tend to like all of kuu's concerts, Kingdom Tour being no exception. :heart

I love Universe. But I think the diversity in the tracks is something that is both strong, and weak. For instance, I am not really into all those super pop tracks. But the album as a whole is really fun to me too, and it was really sweet.


I :heart POP DIVA. I also think it's one of her best dance tracks, but only because, it's different from her other dance tracks. It's such a dancing song, it's not even funny. If you aren't going to dance to it, I don't know how you could like it lol

Hi there! I'm new here, but a huge Kumi fan.

So, I just have to say this new album is amazing, but indeed B. Howard's voice was not good AT ALL. I do not like it and I think the PV could come out really better if he was not there, I just don't see all this chemistry between they two.

THIS. So, so, SO cheesy. It kills me. I will say that it is "strong", but its gross. I really love B. Howard on the track. He sounds like MJ during his Off the Wall era. I think that's why he's gaining popularity, he's an MJ sound-a-like. Anyway, I love everything about Passing By. Passing By, AT THE WEEKEND, Okay and I Don't Love You?! are my favorite tracks. But, I enjoy them all, really.

I don't know why, but I think he's better when it comes to photos than to the video. I don't think there was any chemistry between him and Kumi, I just do not see how he fits there.

^ her last single selling 100k+ was MOON back in 2008 xD. and It's all Love! sold almost 100k (99k). her sales are declining in some way.. Alive/Physical thing was a flop (45k). but sales for Gossip Candy and Suki de/Anata dake ga were at least decent (85k each one). and POP DIVA outselling Can We Go Back is also a good thing :p

Kumi has her ups and downs like everyone else, but she's still going strong~ :yes
