emi♡ 14th March 2012 05:28 AM

Well, idk this is her thread, it's where we talk about it :shrug

It's not like we're going up to her and being like "you're a stupid ho".

We're all at least semi friends here, at the very least we feel comfortable being honest around each other :/

SURREAL__RAINBOW 14th March 2012 05:47 AM

There's a difference between plain trolling and giving an opinion, which is subjective obviously, or just being objective about the artist who is being discussed.

So far I haven't seen trolling as in, "Oh **** this ***** I hate herrr", and such. So I guess it's alright if we can express how we really feel about her in here, as long as there isn't pointless trolling.

Her music is my jam, but her personality is a disappointment to me nowadays. But I really don't care THAT much atm, I'm onto other things, I'll wait until the hype for these 2 Chris Brown songs dies out, and I'll be back as long as she doesn't bring him back ever again.

I can see this, but with posters like Pieces of Seven and Poet Girl, it's more than obvious that they're not here to talk about Rihanna (her music, news, etc), they're here just to throw eggs for whatever reason. That's not what this subforum is for. I can't stand AKB48, which I've said on this forum before, but I don't take it to their thread.

I just... don't understand it that Koda Kumi can have her ero PVs and the retard haters get jumped at when they purposefully or not troll in her thread, Ayu can release something like the Party Queen covers and half the forum defends here when the other half is saying she looks like a tramp, or Zeke's posts get deleted for crap talking Nicki Minaj in her own thread but anything else right here is just okay and comfy? It's especially wtf when several of the people that have jumped at other member's throats for doing that are doing it here anyway. I'm not annoyed or frustrated at anyone, anyway, I just think it's silly.

This is more of a hate or distaste thread if anything, and that's something that's never been tolerated at AHS and there's really no going around that- that's all I'm saying. :shrug

emi♡ 14th March 2012 06:27 AM

probably cause everyone...or the majority, feel the same way lol

and Michael and Poet...they just have...colorful personalities :laugh

I think Zeke's posts got deleted cause there was all that arguing. Zeke DOES tend to get a lot of flack though lol

You ARE right, but meh. I'm personally not going to do anything about it. I don't come in here that much. It's also a lot easier for me personally to understand the negative opinions about riri and either relate or just not care.

Zahara 14th March 2012 10:19 PM

I liked Rihanna before the fame got to her head and she started to make an ass out of herself on twitter. That, and she's a horrible racist.

PoetGirl 15th March 2012 04:12 AM

then you didnt follow me from the start, I never wanted to 'throw eggs' (im no native english speaker so that sounds funny to me) anywhere, I never hate just for the sake of it, Im just real.

If goddess Ayu does something nasty its nasty, I was being honest when I said I dont like picture of Ayu where she was clearly drunk. I mean, I am a fan, maybe a hardcore fan, but if you follow someone you comment on their actions and work. You wont just blindy praise them. Why would I come to Rihanna or whoevers thread if I hated them lol. I dont think about people I dont like as to celebs - I dont listen to music I dont like.

Obviously I like some of the songs Riri has picked, she knows the business, she knows how industry works and she knows her assets. Whatever we think of her she's pretty smart in that. Ive been casual listener from pon de replay days so Im more interested in her growth than how she acts on twitter. I stopped paying attention to that. Its obviously just for attention, just like gaga's meat dress, the hell she cares about anything else. cause we all know attention - more people - more money

I feel like she is jealous on the one hand, on the other hand she feels like someone is stealing her ex? I don't think she is racist, but she didn't know where the line is and make jokes of Chris Brown's current gf.

I don't know, calling someone who is Asian a rice cake is pretty wrong, and it isn't like she's only done it once either.

She makes good music, but that's all she has going for her now.

Maybe that explains why she just runs over for hits to hit makers and album tracks are usually unlistenable (to me at least but I really did try so many times cause she has interesting sound, kinda like Shontelle, but Shontelle has much more class and is unknown compared to her) and why she doesnt take any breaks.

THIS. SO. MUCH.

Like you, I listened to Rihanna when Pon de Replay came out (I still want those jeans) and thought she was the COOLEST new artist out, everytime I would see her vids (up to Umbrella) I would watch them everytime when MTV, BET, and VH1 played videos in the afternoons. But when she made the vid for Disturbia, the situation with CB, and her "I'm gonna be naked now because I'm badass" phase for the Rated R era took effect, she lost SO MANY BROWNIE POINTS with me...now I'm just like ehhhhh ummm I'll go listen to 2NE1 or Kuu-chan.
(But on the bright side, her fashion sense went waaaaayyy up until now *shudders at the blond trashy look*)

ps. +1 to Drake & Rihtard being cute together.

jbrat2219 6th May 2012 09:14 PM

SURREAL__RAINBOW 7th May 2012 09:22 AM

I thought she was always bad live :shrug That's why I didn't go to her concert when she was in Melbourne

Same goes for Katy Perry

~StarCatcher~ 7th May 2012 09:30 AM

I saw Rihanna live and in real she sounds so much better.

She really has a great voice live very powerful even while dancing!

Pieces_of_SEVEN 17th May 2012 12:25 AM

she REALLY cannot dance. LOL

George 17th May 2012 04:03 AM

Rihanna either tries too hard or not at all.

I'll never go to her concert not because she sounds like a horse but because I don't like how she seems bored and out of it in her shows. I'm paying you money, show some damn enthusiasm.

What Katy lacks in talent she makes up for in enthusiasm.

Delicious n Bold 17th May 2012 04:14 AM

I don't really like Rihanna's voice live at all. It's in the studio where they work magic and make her sound good. Granted, I liked her back in the day (and today marginally), but these days.... There are much better pop stars.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 19th May 2012 08:51 PM

I wish her voice wasn't so damn whiny. It didn't used to be this bad...but the entire TTT album is just...whine whine whine, sex sex sex.

New lead single called "Diamond" out today

~StarCatcher~ 26th September 2012 03:08 PM

So about Diamonds.

Who listened to the premiere of the song already? And what do you think about it?

I think it's a nice song and something different again.

But I am not too hyped by now I hope it will grow on me!

TITANIC 26th September 2012 03:50 PM

^ same like you. I'm not fond with Diamond. I usually like her lead single the most but Diamond fail to impress me. hopefully it will grow on me in the future

NintendoHTF1242 26th September 2012 05:35 PM

I fear that Rihanna has just done too much that this "new" music is...disappointing.

We Found Love was different for Rihanna, and Calvin Harris did wonders with that song. Majestic and beautiful song. Diamond is just...there. I have no real reason to listen to it. It's not catchy and the beat isn't out of this world.

Delicious n Bold 26th September 2012 06:08 PM

The song isn't horrible
Either Rihanna is taking vocal classes or someone processed her vocals through an epic corrector.
The lyrics are obviously virulent and awful, but her vocal quality (save for a few cringe moments) is not bad.
I actually bought the song on iTunes.

Diamonds sounds not that bad , but I am a bit disappointed because the way she sings "Shine bright like a diamond"

NintendoHTF1242 27th September 2012 05:05 AM

~StarCatcher~ 27th September 2012 08:50 AM

Okay I gave it a new listen and I can now say that I love this song for her voice and it's lovely feeling.

Too bad it is not available in Germany iTunes yet=(

ll moments ll 27th September 2012 09:35 AM

i kinda like it, but i feel like the song doesn't go with her voice.

i'll wait until the music video. i didn't really appreciate "We Found Love" until the video as odd as that sounds.

Minttulatte 27th September 2012 12:25 PM

Song is written by Sia and Rihanna herself sings a bit like Sia does. I wonder why lol. :D

But either way I really love this song though it's not that catchy. The lyrics fit perfectly to one of my stories which is always great since this story needs to be finished by December 31st.

rookies 28th September 2012 12:19 AM

Diamond is okay I guess. It could sound better if it was remixed to make the beat faster or something like that. IMO, it doesn't feel like a very strong song for a lead single.

Pieces_of_SEVEN 29th September 2012 03:13 AM

I don't think I care for Diamond. I really liked WFL when I first heard it, but this...bleh. Sometimes her voice just gets on my nerves too.
