I think i might actually be a bit more excited to see the live shows then i was when i met AYU!! I think that goes to prove just how important her Lives are to her very art!

Yeah.. i dont know what it is but when watching the live shows I feel connected, but thinking about going to see the show live while watching... it always bring a tear to my eyes... lol

The logo for this tour is the same as CDL but with ARENA TOUR 2012 instead of COUNTDOWN LIVE 2011-2012. They probably should have changed it a bit more than that.

^Just like CDL was supposed to be the same concert as the first HLS but they still changed that logo. Alot. It only got bad imo. And I do think AT12 won't be exactly like CDL. I think they will change some things up. I think they will include the new album a bit more since well, it's theme is party party. They could at least have changed the logo. Just a tiny bit. Even another colour scheme would have been nice.

What really annoyed me about the CDL was that almost everything was sold out the 2nd day (30th) so we went back early the 31st, but oh nooo, they haven't heard of restock in japan..

i hope the stage concept will have some changes, also the outfits.

It appears that while reviewing footage for both CDL and the current tour, she cannot tell them apart. I hope this isn't a bad sign of a complete remake...

They tape dress rehearsals and stuff so that she can review them, I guess? It seems a bit early for them to be doing those, but it's the only thing that makes sense imo.

^ I wouldn't really count on that. The tour and the CDL do essentially have the same name after all. I'm keeping my hopes relatively low and only expecting the countdown part of the set list to be different.

That was kinda my fear because sections of the CDL show really seemed like they were probably taken directly from the tour. I'm hoping its at least a center stage though, because some of those performances would probably work a lot better on that type of stage.

Well, I imagine they won't be completely the same since recently she mentioned that the setlist for the tour was finished, so it's not a complete carbon copy, I think. It will probably retain the intro at least since that seemed to be originally planned for the ORIGINAL HOTEL Love songs. We'll probably see different outfits too, I think.

If it is the same show I hope this means that she will plan on doing two different tours this year!

There will definitely be SOME additions from Party Queen I think, maybe in the segments Sparkle and Ladies Night are in, they could replace songs like Humming and Love Song. The tour starts right after her album release after all.

If it's Hotel Love Songs, I hope she doesn't get rid of Love Songs....

Ladies Night and Sparkle are the songs closest to what Party Queen seems to be like so far, that's the last songs I see her kicking out. Especially Ladies Night since it had a whole prop installation only used for it. While songs like Humming literally only had a lightshow and can be replaced without really sacrificing anything. Love Song, not so much, but that song seemed very tacked on to me. It did NOT fit into the segment at all, the props were horribly tacky...her vocals were great though.

I knew this tour was going to be a mess. Just waiting for confirmation now.

From what's been said about the 'original' tour, it'll probably turn out rather nice in complete tour form. Tour performances-as-CDL-performances never turn out well imo, which is why CDL may have been a bit of a head scratcher.

I would agree about Sparkle and Ladies Night, but I'm pretty sure Party Queen has enough of the "party" songs to cut out some of the older stuff.
Humming should be part of the encore like always and love songs could use a brush up, truth, but the tour is called Hotel Love Songs.. kicking out the main song would be kinda... blah

I couldn't agree more. If this is the first concert I am going to see live I don't want Ladies night in it and hopefully Humming will also get kicked out of the set list and replaced by another classic. Love song should stay ^^ I am really hoping there won't be THAT many Party Queen songs as they'll still be relatively new to us when the tour starts, but I guess that's asking for too much.

All the classics will probably stay. Including Humming. But even though you're tired of seeing it on DVD I think you will enjoy it live. It's like Boys & Girls/evolution. Both of them I skip on DVD but I looove them when I'm there at the concert. ^_^ Same for Humming imo.

I know. I am ok with the fact she'll sing Boys & Girls/evolution as regardless of the fact that I do skip them on DVDs, I'd love to hear them live just for the sake of it. Humming on the other hand, while I am sure is as exciting live, I'd trade it for independent or AUDIENCE anytime =D

Last year she did perform, but it was more of an "ayu and friends~" type thing as Urata Naoya was in ALL her songs. There was a huge uproar about it, actually...people were majorly pissed off.

I forgot, but this is the day of ayumi's 14th anniversary since her debut!
I hope they do something special for her!

Mind turns to the setlist now. Is it going to be love songs orientated, a mix between love songs, party queen and some classics? Wondering if they're just using the hotel love songs theme or if the concert is going to revolve around that album. I'm sure a few PQ songs are going to leak in. But hoping for some non-staple oldies as well.

Hoping the 'centrepiece' performance will be like a doll or return road. Will have to be one of those two songs I think.

anyways, I went by two reseller shops today... the one in Shibuya didn't have any single tickets, so they directed me to the Ueno one. yeah. Each ticket, which were in the upper level section, was around $150. WAAAYY too expensive! I think it was around the same for two tickets in Shibuya - well, those were $250 for the pair and in the back. I'm going to keep checking the website as it gets closer... I'd love to attend both shows, but if I can only attend the 4/8 show due to price, that'll do. Heh.

God I hope the Osaka shows don't end up being that much. I'm guessing since these are the first shows of the tour that they are fetching a bit more money.

It seems she indicated on Twitter that these images are for the SCREEN movies during the concert. They could very well be her concert outfits too as just about every time we've had one, the outfit was used on stage as well.

Oh yeah, you've got plenty of time still. People just started receiving their tickets in the mail, so the amount available at the resale shops should increase a lot over the next 2 weeks.

Also though, in general the first date of the tour tends to be a bit more expensive.

Her lyrics are open to interpretation - she will still sing them. That album is so much more than Mannie. Half the songs were written before they had even met, She sang them at the Countdown concert. No reason not to here.

I'm sure Ayu will still sing the songs weither they were related to Mannie or not. They are still part of her in a way...

I'm sure she has many songs dedicated to Tomoya and still sings them

Im pretty sure the songs meaning change with with time too...

Ayu seems quite grounded in interviews about the divorce- that it was something she did want but wasn't able to be that person so I think she would look back on the time (and songs she wrote then) she did have fondly as she paints the divorce as quite mutual and not bitter.

I do hope the performances aren't too similar to CDL :/
