The nudity thing seems to come from inspiration of art especially coming from the Renaissance and other such older eras. Many of the most famous artworks from those eras were covered in it. The Statue of David, the painting of Venus, the ceiling of the Sisteen(no clue how u spell that) Chapel etc.

Each to their own. I don't mind the nudity but it's not going to be to everyone's tastes. :) I hope we get more promotional pictures that show more variety than just "Gaga being covered by random items whilst naked" soon though. I like variety.

Just passing through to say that Do What U Want slayed on iTunes #1's position the whole day (it's probably gonna fall now that Katy's new single is out). I'm glad that people decided to appreciate this great song, she seems to be slowly getting rid of the prejudice.
We also got a snippet for the studio version of ARTPOP (the title track): It has a really unique sound, pretty great. |

Oh and I don't know the details, but HMV Canada has a couple Fan Packs listed for ARTPOP. There isn't much of any information, but it appears one comes with a Girls Medium Tshirt and the other comes with an Adult Large Tshirt. I've been looking around for further details but haven't found any yet.

MJH sounds like a boring album track... WAIT LOL AT THAT MIDSECTION! This song is gonna be infamous to me!! I love how LG writes dumb lyrics that can be twisted for fun at my leisure. Damn though, that midsection gave me LIFE!
Looking forward to the ARTPOP song. Probably the only song I'll like at this rate. Maybe Venus too cuz it's a hot mess. |

I don't think the sound is different, it's got that dirty grit that Bloody Mary had and most of the Born This Way album with that dark undertone.

Mary Jane Holland is the weakest weve heard so far. She said that it almost didnt make the cut, but she kept it because fans were so excited about ti just for the title, the producer and the theme (like G.U.Y) I wonder which song would have been in its position... But I agree, it sounds very BTW, absolutely no evolution

I actually didn't think it was that weak. I can't but I think it MANiCURE was horrible, the chorus was just such a letdown. Artpop the songs chorus was also a bit watery. But MANiCURE is completely unlistenable to me did to the chorus. The melody is like something a cheer squad would sing or kids on a play ground.

I think ARTPOP is quite solid from what we've heard so far, it is easy to listen to but not as mainstream as what other pop artists are releasing.
Although, I do sense that she's becoming a bit desperate, as if she was going to commit suicide if ARTPOP doesn't set a new record or something. She's seriously becoming really crey on twitter, facebook and even her last performances of Venus and DWYW were a bit wtf-like. |

So apparently, LG plagiarized the lyric "to the planet, to the planet, Venus"
While I sit here, completely unsurprised, I jam to Venus and its hotmessness. Venus just so happens to be my second favourite planet, after Pluto (first if we actually listen to those space nerds about the proper definition of a planet) Also, is only hmv selling the fan pack edition? I'll have to preorder it ASAP them. It'll probably be the only cd version that will have a chance at selling out quickly. |
@Delicious_n_Bold I've been searching on the internet and HMV is the ONLY place I've found the Fan Pack listed, so I'm guessing that's a YES. Also there's 2 editions of the Fan Pack. One comes with a Girls Medium tshrit and the other with an ADULT Large tshirt.

I think out of all the songs, I like Do What You Want the best. I'm glad Gaga is experimenting and having fun with her music but most of it is not for me. I like Applause and DWYW out of everything I've heard. VENUS is a mess. But I do like the "Take me to your leader" part. It's very catchy, had it stuck in my head all day.

That electronic beat that comes in after the first chorus makes it perfect Gypsy this one is so happy and positive, I hope she performs it without a piano, it's kinda like Edge of Glory. Applause the worst song from the album, definition of bad single choice... I actually like the lyrics and melody but the production doesn't work for me, that's why I prefer the remixes. |

I'm not listening to the leak, but i STILL don't understand people's dislike for Applause. I have the single on my computer and I ABSOLUTELY ADORE IT. It goes on repeat for like 3 hours nonstop in my place a few days every week.

1 - Aura I think its one of the most original songs on ARTPOP. However, I prefer the vocals on the demo version. 2 - Venus A very interesting funky track that totally reminds me of Sailor Moon XD At first didn't care much for the song, but it definitely grew on me, I love how "spacy" it sounds. 3 - G.U.Y. Sounds like a sound that would come off her first album. I like this song, it's very addictive :) 4 - Sexxx Dreams Eeeh....not really my type of song, but a lot of people seemed to like it. 5 - Jewels N’ Drugs I am not a big fan of R&B, so as expected, I did not like this song at all. I think it's the worst song on the album. :( 6 - MANiCURE I love this song, And I love her vocals in it. This song is so much fun! Highly catchy production! The "can you feel it can you feel it can you feel it" part reminds me of gwen stefani's voice. 7 - Do What U Want (feat. R. Kelly) I am indifferent to this song, it's not great to me nor is it bad. It's in the middle. So not much to say. 8 - ARTPOP One word for this song hippie! and slightly psychedelic. I loved the live version at the itunes festival. However I think the studio version is not as great because the vocals are a little too robotic. I think it would have sounded a lot better with cleaner vocals. I think the studio version sounds kinda of flat. But I think its a great song. I love it! 9 - Swine A very noisy song, but different from the rest of the tracks on the album, I don't really like the song though (well the parts where she is singing). 10 - Donatella This track is great. I think its a lot of fun. "I’m so fab check it out. I’m blonde, I’m skinny. I’m rich, and I’m a bit of a b*tch” Classy!" 11 - Fashion! The beginning piano part is soooooooo beautiful. <3 I wish the whole song used that. Reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus. The rest of the song, I don't really care for. 12 - Mary Jane Holland This is probably my favorite along side applause on the album. There is not a single part of the song that I don't like. And the fact that she is singing about weed so openly makes it that much more interesting. It totally sounds like a combination of “Heavy metal lover” and “Bloody Mary“. 13 - Dope Boring. Nothing special. 14 - Gypsy Love how it becomes an uplifting song. 15 - Applause Love this song, one of the top three for me on the album for sure. Don't understand why people this track is bad. I think it is a disappointing album. Almost every track is overproduced to the point where her voice becomes almost robotic and looses all its strength and power. it still has great tracks, but I find it very underwhelming. PLUS if you call your album ARTPOP i am expecting more than basic EDM songs that hardly show progress or artistic evolution
