UGH! I don't care if the cover image costed a billion dollars and I don't care how good it is done. The fact is that it is Ayu, and we had it better, the real thing with LOVE. SUCKS as a cover. I don't care if MY STORY classical had a horrid cover, it's still no reason to do a bad one for this release.

About the music, I kinda hate SEASONS and can't even remember where is this song called Love song. Days I erased from my mind. The others are acceptable to me, especially Voyage and Dearest and Missing... it's nice! Could have had more songs and better tracklist anyway.

I agree. I will make one good and I think it is going to fit for the album for myself and put it in my iTune. It's just a cover for me and can't judge the quality of music by the album cover. This is what I learned here.

The cover looks as if it had been altered with the cartoon filter of a picture software. It looks exactly like the original. I see no creativity in this. Talent, yes, because it must truly take a lot of skills to draw like that. Creativity in my eyes would be, if the artist would have drawn a cover that looks like a third close-up cover for LOVE.

This one certainly gives me the impression of a mere copy.

Wich is "first press: poster jacket" or something simmilar...
But i'm still not sure as the price is almost the same as CDJ and YA have shipping free... as far as i know, they usually increase the price like 5~6€ when it's with a poster.

Love song, You & Me, BLUE BIRD and Days and Classical songs like Voyage, Seasons and M, and the newest songs Missing and Melody.

I think this is a good tracklist with variety I like it and it's fun, so I will download it haha.
But really I don't care about the cover, I'm happy with the minis and with the 2 future surprise releases haah.

I like the artwork, but it's practically traced or something. It's just TOO perfect-looking.

I was kind of annoyed by the short tracklist at first and that they didn't initially tell everyone what we were voting for, but actually, I like the compactness of this release.

It's kind of like the other releases. It's simple and compact. 10 tracks, 7 fan picked, 3 newer songs.

And I love the cover. Whether it's a drawn dupe of LOVE or not, it's amazingly done. I actually like it more than LOVE. MY STORY Classical was basically the same cover as MY STORY underneath the slip case (it wasn't drawn but just kind of like the outline of the cover...y'all know what i mean), so in a sense, it's kind of (but also kind of not) mimicking it.

I don't know, I don't mind it. It's not like the songs that were picked are -bad- songs. Sure, they've been remixed to heck and back, but they haven't been classically rearranged yet. So, it's not like the most recent Acoustic album where we had songs in acoustic versions again.

I can't wait till previews start showing up.

Also, someone mentioned a matte slip case or something and yeah, that would be really awesome. :love With silver? embossed lettering :love

I still don't see why people are asking for JEWEL. I find it hard to imagine a good orchestral version, the one at FNS was practically the studio version with a couple added strings that destroyed the nature of the arrangement. But I guess it's possible. I just always felt like the minimalistic arrangement was necessary for the song to work.

But MW? If we got anything resembling the PoM version I would be listening to it all day. And evolution was incredible on the last Acoustic Orchestra album.

If that's the case then everything that's made into a classical version is destroying the nature of the arrangement. Especially all the requests for rock songs - come on, the badass guitars and heavy sound to those songs is what makes them so great. Not some dramatic string garbage.

I would like to hear a proper JEWEL orchestral version. I have a fan mix with added orchestra and it sounds really good, but I have always preferred the original mix because the simple arrangement works so well. So I do agree on that point, but, it would be very interesting to hear a proper classical version.

I disagree completely. I think JEWEL is one of the very few Ayumi songs where the nature of the arrangement is essential for the song to work as a whole. Most of Ayumi's rock songs have an orchestral influence already that could easily be worked with to create a fully orchestrated version that still mirrors the original feeling. It's not like her rock influence is punk or black metal.
But JEWEL is incredibly delicate and I feel like the minimal ticking beat is it's essence. The melody itself is just bland J-Ballad to me.

Like I said I do agree on that minimal ticking beat, but I do not think the melody is bland. The melody is pretty simple but that is also what makes the song so great - because something so simple turned out to be so perfect. Bland J-Ballad would be almost every Ku ballad and most recent "medium tempo ballads" Ayu has released. JEWEL's melody is anything but bland.

I am aware that most of Ayu's rock works have orchestral influences, and I absolutely love that - but they are there to enhance the feeling of the song as a whole - strip out everything else that those orchestral sounds are there to enhance and it just doesn't sound as epic.

She is not releasing 5 consecutive mini albums...

Yeah. There is little point in making an Orchestra ver. of JEWEL as it's perfect just the way it is, still I'd like to hear it with an acoustic guitar in the back without the piano.

isthisLOL point is, JEWEL arrangment is so minimalistic an orchestral version of it would mostly sound the same... We had a live version of it, and it did sound almost the same.

As much as I'm kinda excited for this release, I'm going to be terribly, terribly, TERRIBLY disappointed if they reused old Acoustic Orchestra versions of those songs.
So far, the only ones that didn't get an AO ver. are Love song and You & Me (and maybe Voyage too), so they're probably the only ones I'm looking forward to.

Seriously, these songs better have new arrangements. The cover's already craptastic, although it is quite impressive for a hand-drawn fanart.
Something simplistic yet fancy like My Story Classical's cover would've sufficed -____-.
