As she teased with us new music, she either already has a new contract with another label or she is going indie. Either way the 'My Love' teaser indicates something else is coming. |
The new song is alright. I like the style of it. I was just excited to hear something and I hope to hear more soon. I love following her Insta because I appreciate and enjoy her urban aesthetic. Today I saw her name come up because she liked a 21 Savage picture I was looking at and it was such a pleasant surprise to go to her page and find new music this time.

Out of all the big record labels , I always felt that Sony Music has been the worst
The way they market/promote their artistes at times are always questionable & if they want to make $ from fans , certain things they did definitely doesn't show Also it's so out dated that they only allow their artistes' PVs to be viewable only if you're living in Japan . Why they can't be like Universal where their artistes' DVDs are region free ? :irked |

Gosh, what went wrong with Jasmine? Labeled the next Utada Hikaru to having no label at all. I really miss good old gold days. Is she still doing music like those?

^ I find that just like Matsushita Yuya , JASMINE was marketed by Sony considerably a lot but after a while as much as Sony tried to promote both artistes separately , the public's attention on them waned
Matsushita had a couple of hits as a solo artiste but after a while while his music to me got better , his sales faltered & no matter how many versions of his releases Sony made , it didn't helped I'm not surprised after Matsushita released his best album so quickly , he immediately went independent & then now he's part of X4 I don't know why JASMINE took quite a long time to go independent but in a way I'm glad she managed to do so It's a real shame cos JASMINE do have good songs in her discography but along the way Sony didn't market her well except for the early days of her career :x |
I'm not super impressed with Black Kitty's melody, but the sound is really cool! If she does more material like this, I'm here for it.

I don't understand how there are so many other artists and female solos, even indie, surviving on the market, but Jasmine apparently can't. Eight Entertainment is a label created by her and a friend btw. She shared more info on the crowdfunding site how she has problems releasing music cause she doesn't have the money. She never stopped making music in all those years. On another note I rediscovered Black Kitty with her releasing new stuff. Such a smooth song. Still love it. |
tbqh. I'm still a big fan but I never understood her visuals after her first album and it got worse with money missing. You can look cool on a low budget, but she always looks cheap somehow

And it's still running 43 days. About 200 people supported her till now and she sold all milestones, even the one for 2 million yen. Hope the mini will be available digital as well, not only the two digital singles they wanna put out before in October. Otherwise it's going to be hard to get the mini e.g. on auctions with such few copies being made. |
