ayujarl 16th December 2014 07:18 AM

I like Zutto a lot.. sad ballad

Violently Happy 16th December 2014 07:19 AM

I love Countdown and Last Minute doesn't remind me of it lol.

Tom Punks 16th December 2014 07:19 AM

I just listened to Last minute again and I'm in tears because the backing vocals are legit louder than the main vocals. I'm just so dead at Ayu's team still being like "what is mixing" all these years later

Thanks :P ok, where do i start...

Zutto...: Still with the same opinion as before, Hello new me's winter cousin.

Walk: It started nice, but i got bored as it kept playing.

Last Minute: Nice beginning, then i was like whatah when she started getting emotional, then BOOM! Things started to sound good until the chorus came in. Still, the best song all of these three.

And i take back what i said before about it sounding like Last Links, it doesn't at all... just a little bit. :rolleyes:P

Coelacanth 16th December 2014 07:24 AM

Yeah, I would say the melodies are very subtle this time around.

These kinds of songs are great, though. I feel like, since the melody doesn't instantly grab you, you sort of discover all the nuances of the song more gradually with each listen. I mean, I can tell they're not awful melodies, they're just not entirely straightforward.

It's a shame about the mixing. the awful mixing has been going on since Party Queen, and especially with her rock songs. reminds me and Return Road were HORRIFIC.

Aderianu 16th December 2014 07:25 AM

oh ayu, I'm at work now! don't make me cry in front of people
Last minute is amazing

Agree! My first reaction to walk was like "what is this I cannot remember anything" But somehow something keeps grabbing me back and now I'm obsessed by what it tries to convey.

xLuna&1LOVE 16th December 2014 07:30 AM

Overall opinion based on the short versions:
+s of this single: Ayu is back, the Ayu sound is back and the musical arrangements are really good (yay for pianos
- of this single: all three songs will remind you of any song from her discography. To be specific: it sounds like LOVE again, again.

So yea I am not really digging it. I might be able to say something bad on every song of the trilogy, but it's 7 AM in the morning here, I am really tired and really do not feel like starting my (and your) day with negativity. I guess I am as much as a ballad type as I am a morning person.

flowerdust 16th December 2014 07:30 AM

I guess I agree they are sort of generic, but I actually think these songs are some of the better ones she has released in a long time. They are better than the whole Colours album, imo. (I didn't like that album at all, so yeah.)

AyUmIXx 16th December 2014 07:41 AM

yay finally the previews are out!
I love what i've heard from all 3 previews.
my fave track would be Last Minute! always love her rock ballad.. ala count down!
walk sounds very unique, love it.
zutto sounds like the ballads in love again album n it sounds pretty great.

so, last minute > walk > zutto

waiting for zutto PV!

primavera♥ 16th December 2014 07:55 AM

Last minute is soon good. I wasn't won over with these until I put some headphones in and heard the various intricacies of the arrangement. And really felt the compositions more. I'm excited to hear the full songs.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 16th December 2014 08:06 AM

Amazing arrangements, and her vocals are stunningly interesting!

maxikot 16th December 2014 08:08 AM

I love them. They sound just like Ayu, classic one meaning Last minute studio version is messy but studio version of Memorial Address is also not listenable, live though....oh god strenght of this song is stunning, i say here it will be very similar in this case. It's a mix of Memorial A. with Count down - it will be a good song live. Zutto and Walk sound really nice too. No experimenting this time, strong release and she realised somethingm i trully do hope people will see it.

AyuGAME 16th December 2014 08:26 AM

Walk : I rarely like TK song...so no wonder, i don't really like the song...

Zutto... : I love this song...

Last Minute : definitely have Memorial Address vibe on it...but i like this song better than Memorial Address...

for me Zutto... > Last Minute > Walk

tenshi no hane 16th December 2014 08:43 AM

Zutto I like it. Yeah, it's been done before, but that's nice once in a while too.

Last Minute: Great lyrics! ;-; The rock part needs to grow on me a bit.

Walk: LOVE IT. Love the arrangement or whatever you call it.

tokyoxjapanxfan 16th December 2014 08:45 AM

I think I like zutto the least of the previews.
But videos can often make or break a song for me, so we'll see :)

I see myself listening to Walk the most.

Maemi 16th December 2014 08:48 AM

I'm not impressed with the previews. I hope the songs will grow on me after I listen to them in full. Walk is boring, I don't even remember it. Last minute would be the same if it weren't for that rock part. Zutto is ok and I think I'll like it the most.

roanmy 16th December 2014 09:03 AM

Overall, I like all three songs. I think Walk is the least memorable, but still.

Didz-19 16th December 2014 09:13 AM

Wow!!!! Can't wait for the full version! I really like what I hear from the 3 previews.

SpiceSquad! 16th December 2014 09:24 AM

ALL is love,

can't wait to see the vid..

walk is by far the best.. :')

DaNNy_aYu 16th December 2014 09:31 AM

For me Walk is the best of the three!!! At least all the songs are good! Love it!

holy_arrow 16th December 2014 09:38 AM

I believe that the song Ayu mentioned before (the melody made her cry) is "Last minute" ...
walk is very impressive at the beginning but the left is ... nothing special
Zutto is cooler than the 15s preview, hah ?
Last minute made me surprised cause I don't like the 15s preview but this short one is EPIC

cosmicfirefly 16th December 2014 09:41 AM

I really like all the songs, though I think Walk is my favorite. I'm not sure why but it kind of reminds me of the songs on RAINBOW album. Last minute is my second favorite, and I think this longer preview of Zutto... is way better than the 15s one.

love in music 16th December 2014 09:51 AM

Holy fuck. Last Minute..
I haven't bought an ayu release in a long time but this song alone makes me want to buy this.

ayu-michan 16th December 2014 09:59 AM

I can't help but have the Love Again vibe, but then again they are ballads after all. Walk didn't catch my attention one bit. Zutto has a nice melody, even though it does remind me of petal. Last minute was the best out of all three, I teared up a bit when her voice starts getting emotional (in my head I was thinking 'aaanddd dramatic Ayu is back' xD). I'm okay with the rock part though and yeah I do prefer this over memorial address :)

tsumekaze_ 16th December 2014 10:10 AM

Last minute is perfect, I love it so much. Can't say the same for the other two, but I hope they will grow on me. I liked walk a bit more than zutto. Zutto is... Uhm... Idk. Too generic. The lyrics are too generic. And as someone said, the cutesy voice does not help.

asagarichan 16th December 2014 10:38 AM

Last minute :love :P I liked all the songs. Waiting for the full version!))

It definitely reminds me of Will, its chorus. I'm not sure it's a good thing though, new songs should sound fresh. I enjoy all 3 songs anyway:-) I wonder if Ayu performs just 2 of them during CDL.

Yoake 16th December 2014 11:08 AM

After the disaster of Colours, Ayu is come back with a solid single. All three songs have a distinct soul, differents part of a same person called Ayu. They convey a lot of emotions. ♥

asongfor96 16th December 2014 11:11 AM

The full tracks will be available on iTunes, mora, etc..from December 17 - according to Ayu's official Facebook

pimenta 16th December 2014 11:13 AM

I like the previews, they are very "Ayu", but I agree they are similar to some other songs in her discography.

Anyway, sounds nice, but I don't like listening to the short versions much, I'll wait the full versions to judge. There are so many songs that I only start to like more after listening to the complete thing...

In other words, in less than 5 hours in Japan :D

I'm in love with Last minute, and I'm pretty sure I'll end up enjoying Walk despite those fake violins and the stupid fairy powder noise... It should've been a better song, but I think I still like it.

Yessss. I thought it would only be mora. I'm glad it'll also be up on iTunes.

andycruize 16th December 2014 11:39 AM

ITunes worldwide or iTunes jp only?

Minttulatte 16th December 2014 11:44 AM

Last minute preview blew me away, but Zutto... left me feel like meh, but songs like Zutto... usually are like that to me at first. Usually after I read the translated lyrics I like them more because there's always a part in each Ayu song that speaks to me. :)

orangeakira 16th December 2014 11:47 AM

Generic winter songs # 45, 46, and 47. I'll pass on this single.

Minttulatte 16th December 2014 11:54 AM

Oh, and Walk didn't make me feel anything, just like Zutto... but we'll see when the lyrics' translations are out if I change my mind. But with Walk I think I was expecting something epic because Kuu has a song with that name and that song is the most epic song with "walk" title I've ever heard. :D

My Rainbow 16th December 2014 12:01 PM

All three songs are gorgeous.

Last minute is GOD :D

stepYOU1234 16th December 2014 12:11 PM

I am enjoying them all after a bit of a lull in my Ayu interest. I tried not to have high hopes but these are all lovely- yay :D Can't wait to hear the full songs now

spanishfan 16th December 2014 12:30 PM

These three songs deserve music videos, if not, awesome performances at CDL.

Just waiting for the full song so I can love then in full *_*

stivenoto 16th December 2014 12:53 PM

I love all the preview from the short version I heard. But Last minute is the best especially the rock part...

rainbow_smile 16th December 2014 01:04 PM

The previews are okay, the songs will probably grow on me later, but I don't really feel that much "winter" in them :D Last minute is good, but it's kinda like a less emotional version of Memorial address.

sitara 16th December 2014 01:13 PM

I wanted to say that this single isn't doing much for me unfortunately.
I think her voice sounds strange and everything seems very uninspired. Which is a shame.

Then I listened to the short version of last minute. When the rock part started playing I felt like this will be the best song of the single :)

Kashoku 16th December 2014 01:13 PM

The first minute of Last Minute makes me want to stab somebody.....but i love when the guitars come in......

Overall, I don't really like any of these songs, but that was obvious since the start for my tastes. Few Ayu ballads have captured me :P

Isicio 16th December 2014 01:24 PM

I expected songs with more melodys and better sound. Nothing like this 3 tracks

waterballoon 16th December 2014 01:30 PM

the mixing is so bad..

I love Zutto... it's serene, calm, very pretty. not as polished in terms of simple ballads like JEWEL, not as dramatic as BALLAD, then again it's only a preview on YouTube. the arrangement is really ethereal though, love it!

Last minute :heart this is the one song in the single to satisfy this forum I think. only problem is the mixing with the main and backing vocals is so odd but I hope in CD-quality it will be improved. something about the lyrics is painful too .. like "Begging people, trusting people, leads you to destruction" or something along those lines. very interested for the translation, and a live performance.

Walk captured me in the first ten seconds then it became a really, really, really watered down version of Melody. I hope it builds up more in the parts we haven't gotten on YouTube, but it's my least favorite of the 3 for now.

Last minute > Zutto... > Walk

in general, the single gives a really strong RAINBOW vibe. I wonder if her next album is gonna go in that direction - dreamy, serene, ethereal

Gustavopc 16th December 2014 02:00 PM

Zutto... is like q mix of SAKURA and petal with a wintery topping, but still not feeling it...

Last minute does reminds me of Last Links, and I love when the songs explodes. Really like the way she's singing here.

Walk is beautiful, better than I was expecting. I hope she performs it live cause it seems like those songs that get even better when performed on stage

Overall, promising single, probably it'll be one the best singles in the year for me

Zeke. 16th December 2014 02:02 PM

See the problem is with the fact that they are being categorized as "not great but not bad." That's practically everything she's released lately. ALWAYS "well it's subtle and an enjoyable song to play for unwinding" etc. I'm so sick of that. I have enough of those type of tracks. And honestly, I listen to those type of tracks very often. But, those type of songs used to be the odd ones out. Now, the power tracks have become the rare gems. Ballads do not have to be boring. Her strong suit for me bad always been her ability to create a ballad that sounded completely birthed - something that seemed as if it were just meant to be that way. Songs that had a clear rise and fall, give and take, and thorough building of the energy. Look at walking proud. The song is a ballad no doubt, but something about it makes me forget it is a ballad because it's so LUSH. Moments as well and No way to say. All of those songs. That's what she's missing.

So no, Ayu is not "back", because she hasn't been able to deliver this feeling or capture that sound since pre-Love songs. As much as I love Love songs, none of the tracks made an impression like that initially. So even those tracks lack that "powerful from the get-go feeling". She's always fucking dancing around the shore-line and never fully dives in. BITCH I WANT TO FUCKING SWIM IN THE OCEAN SO QUIT FUCKING AROUND WITH ME.

Speak for yourself. Ayu is not back because she never left. Now sit your ass down.

Delirium-Zer0 16th December 2014 02:45 PM

I'm pretty much with Zeke on this. Ayu's ballads for the last few years have been "acceptable" rather than "fantastic" and honestly I can't differentiate between them in my mind for the most part. :(

"Zutto" sounds like Pray part II to me and Pray is very... well, it's too deliberately "epic" and it sounded watered-down to me, and this is no exception. She's done too many of this sort of sad-slow-dance ballad, with an old-fashioned melody, and the same sort of arrangement as a gazillion other songs. "petal" improved on this style of song as much as possible by making it a bit more intense, but even that one didn't have enough oomph.

"Last minute" is the closest to an ayu song that really recreates her previous sound, but it's for two reasons - one of which is good, one is bad, and they're both really obvious... The good reason is that it has a VERY dynamic arrangement, which I miss terribly! It's very simple at first and then kicks up to a ton more instrumentation really quickly, which is something she used to do often. It's great for creating a bigger impact. The BAD thing is that AYU HAS USED THIS CHORD PROGRESSION LIKE SEVEN THOUSAND TIMES. It's a good one, but once you've heard A Song for XX, I am..., SEASONS, Life, et cetera, it does lose its impact after awhile. The mix does sound a bit flat though, which upsets me because it uses mostly real instruments rather than having a synth based arrangement. Overall though, it sounds like the type of song fans expected RAINBOW to have on it but it didn't, so it's probably my favorite of the three. I prefer dark songs anyway, I feel more "at home" with ayu when she does songs like this.

As for Walk...my issue with this song is a weird one - I feel like the melody of the chorus & verses should be switched. They're TOTALLY BACKWARDS! I like the melodies very much, but the chorus sounds more level (aside from that one high note), and the verse sounds way more catchy & memorable and also has that "hanging" final measure, you know how J-pop songs back in the day used to do that thing where the last line of the chorus would be just one measure longer than it would be in a western pop song? I always loved that, it added drama in this very cool subtle way, and it was very very uniquely Japanese to do it... but here, it's the verse that does that! GAAHH. It's backwards. This song is backwards. lol

waterballoon 16th December 2014 02:53 PM

wow I really..

How is Zutto... anything like Pray? Pray was trying so hard to be "epic", yet it fell short a little imo. it's grandeur, but even something like winding road in the MY STORY album sounded grander at the end of the day. that's the weakest point of Ayu music these days... almost every song tries too hard to be something, and then it falls short.

But this single. Sure, Zutto... is an ambiance emulated numerous times. I think it's possibly closest to other songs like JEWEL, Will and Sweet Scar, where the song is very bare; you don't hear too much going on, and it's "simple" as a result. I don't think it's bad, and I actually think it's better than Sweet Scar at least, for now.

stickyrice 16th December 2014 02:54 PM

I'm also going to echo the same sentiments. These songs are not bad whatsoever but they're not fantastic either. They're quite nice for what it is. I'm just hoping that for the next album, it's going to be more rock orientated rather than the EDM phase she was going through lol Even though these songs are nothing special, it feels/sounds like Ayu tracks which is okay with me.

Well... I think it's one of those things like, if you're more of a ballad person then you can probably hear what makes these two songs very very different - you can probably better hear qualities in each of them that are just too subtle to me. Like I can hear the differences, but to me they're definitely in the same category, they're the same "genre" of ballad. And... they both come across as kinda... phony? I guess? To me they're both obviously manufactured to have a certain sound that's very palatable, that only expresses emotion to a certain level in order to be more listenable (well, "hearable" really) than relatable. These songs do all seem to have the goal of being inoffensive background sound rather than an expression of a genuine feeling. The goal for these songs is to describe some feelings & thoughts without driving the audience away, where Ayu's strength, to me, lies far more in actually CONNECTING with her audience, which is something she seems more and more afraid to do as the years pass.

I do think the mixing is better in this one, this one does seem a bit more genuine, but this is still not quite getting "there" for me.

I definitely get you. Pray, Song 4 U, Tell All, progress... these are fine examples of manufactured songs imo. they are purposely composed, arranged and mix in a way that comes across "grandeur" and "epic", to bring across a forceful personality that makes us go "whoaaaaaaaaa"

she has done that in much better ways, in much better songs like I am..., Memorial address and even count down.

But back to the new single. I don't see how Zutto... is manufactured to have any kind of sound. Maybe it sounds that way, but I feel it's a very calm song, at least from the preview. Maybe it's made to sound calm? Then again, aren't all songs made to sound a certain way, to capture a certain emotion in us? What varies is how genuine and masterful the execution is (something she's been lacking for quite some time now)...

J0nB0yH88 16th December 2014 03:18 PM

Zutto... sounds wonderful!

Last minute reminds me of progress the way it starts like a slow ballad then kicks in with something heavier, very exciting <3

Walk sounds soooo sweet! it seems like a real classic ayu ballad

the three tracks sound wonderful to me so far! I know it's easy to be disappointed by your idols, but I wasn't into her last album at all and I much prefer ballads and rock over anything with a dance beat

great sounding songs, gorgeous covers, free gifts, limited edition medleys, BALLADS! what's not to love?! <33333

freedreamer 16th December 2014 03:24 PM

Zutto... was not meant to be grand I guess..It reminds me of one of alan's winter ballads (cant remember the name at the moment) and i think its quite melancholic and beautiful. I love the build up but her voice is slightly cute-ish haha but i'll get used to it anyway

Last minute is amazingggg!!! I wasnt expecting her emotional vocals especially in the first chorus but its really beautiful and there was a rawness that came through

Walk was another beautiful piece. It immediately reminded me of Ivy and I think Ayu's voice with TK's ballad compositions always seem to work for me. TK's songs give off a message/story-vibe which I think Ayu can carry really nicely

cant wait for the full single in less than an hour's time!

thinkingoutloud89 16th December 2014 03:43 PM

I think Sweet scar was apretty good ayu-ish ballad tbqh.

LEOyumi 16th December 2014 03:55 PM

Last minute just SLAYED ME! What an awesome song! Definetely my favorite!
Zutto... is cute, but nothing really special. It's the traditional ayu ballad of the single to me.
Walk is very strange, it has some parts with a hope vibe, but then the chorus comes with a darkish tone that makes it hard to describe. I like it a lot too.

freedreamer 16th December 2014 04:17 PM

Can that high quality format be made into MP3?

Pieces_of_SEVEN 16th December 2014 04:39 PM

I guess these have to grow on me...weird. I feel like she's trying a bit too hard in Last minute to replicate that memorial address feel. It's weird.

I feel like zutto is forgettable. Like Pray.

walk is good. But I just don't know! Wow. I don't get much of a winter feel like I have from M, momentum, CAROLS, You were..., Days, etc...

My Rainbow 16th December 2014 04:43 PM

Last minute is EPIC. It's blasting through my earphones yeahhh!!!

krtman2002 16th December 2014 04:47 PM

For me:

Zutto... is a good ballad and I feel that old ayu. It's a mix of Will and Ballad. I can sense a great performance in this year's Countdown.
Last minute is PERFECTION!!! That ending made me goosbumps! T_T
Walk: It's the worst of this single. It's the kind of song you forget easily. In fact, I listened to it like 3 times and I can't remember the rythm, XD. The ending is nice.

Irish_Ayu_Fan 16th December 2014 04:52 PM

Love the high notes in the Walk preview!
At first I liked Last Minute but after repeatedly listening, I think Walk is the best song on this single.

Zeke. 16th December 2014 04:53 PM

Yeah, Zutto... certainly doesn't give off a winter vibe. They did the same thing they did with Together When... - through in a bell every few measures and felt it was sufficient enough to capture the seasonal vibe.

ExodusUK 16th December 2014 05:05 PM

What the hell is Last Minute? I refuse to believe the song is finished because the mixing is just terrible and confusing.

chocopockymaster 16th December 2014 05:17 PM

I am THIS CLOSE to cancelling my preorder for the single.

Everything is underwhelming. The covers were clearly the only good part of this single.

I wonder how many of the people complaining about the mixing actually knows what mixing is...

The songs are pretty if not overly safe, what's usual for her seasonal singles...

Coelacanth 16th December 2014 05:33 PM

lol all the ppl who hate this single probably like the utada cover

inspire_rmx 16th December 2014 05:33 PM

Absolutely in love with Zutto and Last minute :) Overall pretty happy with the single

KPL 16th December 2014 05:40 PM

They are all gorgeous in their own ways.

Zutto... does sound like her old stuff - THE REALLY OLD STUFF prior to LOVEppears, such as Wishing. That's just so precious to hear recreated. I'm touched.

Cause that's not a rude generalization.

I like this single AND I like the Utada cover.
I think I have weird tastes lol.

Btw after more listenings, I think this single is really good. Not her best not her worst either.
Last minute is the best song so far, tho. Her voice sounds emotional and raw, I love how the song grows. Cannot wait to listen to the full song!

Anyway I wonder if people will be satisfied for once. When she's trying something new "I want the old Ayu back". When she release a safe single "omg it's the same thing over and over".

Eh :shrug

Corvina 16th December 2014 05:53 PM

Last minute is great.
I actually don't like it much, when the rock part kicks in - it gets a bit generic with it. The first verse and the ending are so strong though.
And her vocals are nice.

Zutto... and Walk on the other hand are so boring.
Especially Walk does aboslutely nothing for me.
Zutto... is quite nice to listen to in the background. That cute vocals though... :(

If I have to rank:
Last minute >>>>Zutto...>Walk

Just a basic single.
But hey, it's a 3 a-side and has good covers - I'm really fine with it!

[H] 16th December 2014 06:09 PM

I agree with Zutto sounds like something in A Song For XX album. It sounds like "Wishing part 2" but with a progression like "petal". I'm liking it but I may forget about it soon.

Does her timbre sound "softer" here?

ExodusUK 16th December 2014 06:17 PM

Love Zutto, the other 2 unspeakable songs are garbage.

I must absolutely quote this. I have heard the songs in full multiple times now and I can state my opinion clearer than before.
I still don't like zutto THAT much but I appreciate the nostalgic feeling it gives off like the user said. It's really nostalgic and I immediately thought of Wishing as well. Plus japanese people are loving it... seems like it is first on itunes now.

Last minute and walk are, imho, fantastic. I really like them, I love them. Walk didn't catch my attention at the first listening of the short version, but it totally got me now because the lyrics are so, very beautiful. Deep lyrics, like the old ayu. Same for last minute... the lyrics are good from what I can hear and the sound... I totally love it. It's so emotional, and the arrangement is WOW.

The only thing I must complain about is that the sounds tend to overwhelm her voice. I don't know if this is what you all are calling "bad mixing" but it's exactly the same problem Tell All had. I can't quite hear her voice sometimes because of the instruments and back voices ALL OVER THE PLACE. i really hate this because at one point I had the volume very high to hear her words but my ears were bleeding because of the very high music.

Overall, beautiful single. I shall buy this.

Kumichan 16th December 2014 06:26 PM

Zutto... is my most fav song of this single. It's like 'Will' and 'BALLAD' put together.
Last minute I quite like it but I don't love it.
WalkI find it's pretty boring but listenable.

BITCH I WANT TO FUCKING SWIM IN THE OCEAN SO QUIT FUCKING AROUND WITH ME.

...

For some reason, I can't fathom she actually likes these songs? There's just zero passion and it feels like she's just playing it safe to pander to Japan lol.

It must be rocket science only your advanced brain can understand. Why don't you enlighten us?

I'm so amused some of you are still SO pressed about people having differing opinions that you all need to make insulting judgments about others' taste and knowledge lol. I thought most of us were adults? Why can't we all just agree to grow out of that phase?

^ it's not much help but I hear something like "kuchi ni kiete" for the second part. Also, I believe it's "Hodo ni" instead of "Koto ni" and MAYBE the sentence ends with a kitto. the music is just too loud...

TheRainbow 16th December 2014 07:08 PM

Aw, I think I actually like Walk the most now on second listen--Last minute's good, but the instruments get overwhelming at points. All's good though!

Thanks. Yeah, I'm wavering between 'koto ni' and 'hodo ni'.

The 'yoru' part is hard to hear haha (捲くれ[る] maybe?). This is what i got from the 2nd part
[2:15] "nee utteru (or 'nemutteru') furi wo shite'ru uchi ni kiete" (?)
"aisenai koto ni anata wa ????"

I've just listened to single and I'd like to say that Last minute is OMFG WHATISTHIS AAA GIMMEMORE GIMMEGIMMEGIMME *bleeding* awesome!!!1111111oneoneone

Overall, I'm so pleased with this release! I'm not fond of Zutto... that much yet, but Last minute and Walk are absolutely beautiful.

DaNNy_aYu 16th December 2014 07:31 PM

Listened all full songs.... Walk > Last minute > Zutto... But they are amazing!

Refix 16th December 2014 07:35 PM

Last minutes was great, at first I think it gonna be like Curtain Call, she sing with only one instrument. When the beat gets up suddenly, I was like 'holly crap!' then it turns out to be the Ayu medium pop I know, which is not that special. It's like that Return Road... which I less like.
Walk was rather boring with that LA LA LA thingy, the instruments though was powerful.
Zutto... was nice and yes, her voice surely like back in the old days. I like the instrument part after second chorus, powerful.
Well, I need to listen to this single more to love it. And I'm pretty sure it won't take long.

attractive nausea 16th December 2014 07:36 PM

I like all of the songs too! I have mixed feelings about Last Minute because at first listen i thought it was a little messy but i really like Zutto... and Walk although not being the "woah woah" songs everyone expected them to be

Benikari47 16th December 2014 07:48 PM

Pleasantly surprised with the single overall!

Zutto... has a very familiar and old school Ayu sound to it reminiscent of MY STORY and (Miss)understood that i enjoy. But thankfully not in the tiresome way of most of LOVE Again's ballads, which never really captured the magic of her old stuff. The pre-chorus up until the "Zutto, Zutto" part is pretty bland, but i really like everything else here! Great track.

Last Minute is definitely the stand out song on this single, it's everything i love in a Ayu track. I haven't gotten this much emotion from her in a long ass time and i agree with the people saying that it's very Memorial Address part 2 :luv2

But damn, whoever mixed it needs to be fired.. The transition from the piano to the rock bit is anything but smooth, it sounds horrific and actually throws me off a bit.

Walk gave me hope for a new BALLAD upon hearing that glorious intro, but then it all feel down like a house of cards. Typical run of the mill ballad in the vein of Meaning of Love and most of LOVE Again. Just no thank you.

Zutto.. > Last Minute > Walk

BlackSilence 16th December 2014 07:55 PM

f...it Ayu delivered it for me with Last Minute. I always knew it's not time to give up on her like i gave up on GACKT. She did it.

I hadn't felt this kind of thing for any of her songs for a good while now. even Melody that i adore to death didn't do it for me then.

I love how rough the guitars are, i love how rough it sounds. The mess as some of you described, makes perfect sense to me. It's called Last minute for a reason. If it was too polished i think i wouldn't like it as much. Now it's so unpredictable with these pauses and vocals. I like how it just gets in your face with the guitars after the soft piano. As if like you just realized that this is the last minute for something and everything just goes kaboom in your head and you don't know what to do, you just get confused and scared and everythign else. It's such a wave of different things, it's brilliant! GIMME MORE OF THIS REAL STUFF, Ayu~!

In fact i have to say they all are pretty good, better than anythign she's been poping out till this.

AYUmyQUEEN 16th December 2014 08:08 PM

I am so happy with this single. Walk and Zutto... are beautiful. Last minute, if i had to be honest, is my least favorite of the three but I still LOVE it. I understand that a lot of people on here may not like the song, and that is okay. People are allowed their own opinions. However, what I do not like to see is people saying that Ayu or her team is not putting time into the music. Also, people are upset with ayu because it is not exactly the type of style that you want to hear... but it is her music, so naturally it's going to be what she wants it to be. She clearly is very happy with this release and this sound overall, which makes me happy.

So far sounds great. I really love the 3 previews. That feeling.
I actually think that these are her best ballads in some years now.

Not bad? No great? nope. They are beautiful. They crap on any ballad since You were.../BALLAD and maybe further. imo.

I WANT PVs though =(

LEOyumi 16th December 2014 08:15 PM

After listening to the full songs in HQ, I must say I'm now loving Zutto...
Her voice is really pretty in it and it's a simple and traditional ayu ballad.
Walk is among the lines of SAKURA to me. <3

I feel that i have listening this song for ...years?
i was doing my things in the computer while i was listening this songs
and in a minute i forgot what i was listening :o

I now hear 'hanareba' in the last line.

Also after reading the lyrics (thank you tenshi no hane) they are astonishing.
I have to admit I really dig Walk, a lot.

I really really want PVs for these.

My last.fm account will say in a few months my appreciation/favoring order for the single lol
I really like the 3 songs right now, and we didn't hear the full stuff yet.

(and tenshi no hane, I wonder if you got my PM a month ago =P)
