Yeah, I don't think there's a meaning to the 4 tracks we have all being around 3min 30sec. Like Terra said, she's working with more Western producers and that's normally the average length for English songs. The demo for Be Who I Want 2 Be for example was only 3 minutes long (...although it did fade out before the song actually ends I think).
Anyways, I'm really loving everything we've gotten so far. This is really shaping up to be another fun album. And while I personally love leaks, I can't help but feel a bit sad for Namie that Photogenic leaked. (I don't mind Golden Touch, Fashionista and Stranger leaking since we'll be getting PVs for them in the coming weeks lol). Hopefully the rest of the album doesn't leak this week since we still have another month to go. It does make me wonder how they're leaking so early though (and in pretty HQ too). I don't think this has ever happened to any other album from her. |
I like Photogenic. Reminds me a bit of 60s 70s 80s .
Stranger reminds me of Heaven and a bit of Alive. Fashionista could easily be included on Past Future. |
it's nice background music, what i've heard so far...they are all so repetitive. They are not bad but really nothing outstanding. I need more oomph in them. Feels like they don't have any build up, like if you heard half of it, you heard it all. The only one that doesn't bother me with that is Photogenic. which i really enjoy.

^ First press comes in the special digipak casing. I'm guessing once that's gone, the album will just be in a normal jewel case without the silver sleeve.

Despite the one-scene, this PV at least looks high-budgeted. The production value definitely went into the multiple camera takes, angles, lighting and post-production. Simply because she focused her efforts and money on these aspects, this PV looks like it's from her 60s70s80s era.

Listened to the leaked tracks yesterday and can't remember any of them except for birthday. It has a cute melody, but the engrish is SUCHHH a huge turn off. :(

As unfortunate as this Album is turning out to sound and I say this based solely on the previews because I am not pressed in the least to hear the leaks. It's not that I'm resisting. It's that I don't give a fuq. But I will say I am most looking forward to hearing "Fly" and "Space Invader".

Anything reminds me of something from melody.'s Lei Aloha which was like 10 years ago now sooo... I don't think it's the worst song anymore after hearing it in full, but it's definitely got the most embarrassing, robotic lyrics I've heard in a long time. Photogenic and Golden Touch are my favs. |
