Yes, I almost cried when listening Sorrows and beloved...
But I don't like the dance part, She used the background vocal so much

Other than that she looks good and montage seems to be really nice.
If they use the same software and settings for pitch correction again, we'll have vocaloid sounding Ayu in AT 2016 broadcast too I'm afraid.

somehow you are right, normally I didnt complaint much bout her voice, but here especially during Days they made Ayu sounded feelingless and Heaven too. Too bad for my favorite ballads.

Other than that, shes sooo sweet and perfect during Days perf :yes

truehappiness 7th July 2016 08:42 PM

Hmm, I thought those sections sounded as they usually do. How was it compared to the actual show if anyone was there?

voltron 7th July 2016 09:01 PM

There were a few parts where the pitch-correction is really...metallic sounding, but overall I don't think the concert is so badly edited.

Having gone to her birthday show date, one thing I noticed is that she is much more theatrical during the recording than she was during the show I went to. I also don't remember the dance section having such a strong back track. I'm curious for those who typically go to mid-tour dates, if they tend to be less theatrical than the filmed release.

truehappiness 7th July 2016 09:43 PM

There's a part in Sorrows' chorus where it is really evident, lol.

voltron 7th July 2016 09:47 PM

Right? I really wish that wasn't in the digest video. It's probably the worst bit of editing in the whole concert.

truehappiness 7th July 2016 10:03 PM

"tooookkIIIIiIII" and I'm like... woah, wha?

//ABEST 8th July 2016 02:26 AM

LIMITED TA TOUR was amazing!! so easy to watch compared to everything after CdM CDL. AT15 was too heavy and long-winded but TA TOUR was very casual and cheerful from beginning til the end :luv2 HEAVEN made me cry like everytime she performs it for some reason. even Timmy didn't bother me on this and this is the first one since his tranny costumes became everyday basis :D more tour like this, ayu!!

rainbow_smile 8th July 2016 03:34 AM

Already at the venue, feel free to come and talk to me if you want when you're there :)

truehappiness 8th July 2016 09:46 AM

TA Tour is so well filmed. I kinda wish she'd do a normal tour like this. The interlude sections with remixes of old songs are amazing!

:yes maybe she make another TA Tour soon, i'd love to attend there! she makes contact to audience more

voltron 8th July 2016 01:28 PM

You know, by the film date, I think they had everyone on their best behavior too. Everybody in that audience is standing so still and behaving so nicely. That was NOT the case at her birthday show. There was so much pushing and shoving, it was like being in a mosh pit -- there were literally times when my feet were not on the floor and I was being held in the air by shoving bodies.

She also posted on TA to tell everyone to not get out of control, which I'm sure set the tone a bit.

relmy 8th July 2016 05:13 PM

Ah the TA tour was just perfect. I'm sad that we didn't get some of the less performed songs for the DVD, but just seeing Ayu on such a small stage and performing some of these songs with just her band was AMAZING. I cried before she even started singing Sorrows. I kept crying throughout, and the ending just made me bawl. I was hoping she'd do it... and she did.

I think a big part of it was that, of all her lives that I've never been able to attend, THIS is the one I would want to be at. I mean, I don't even like the setlist that much and I'd still want to be at this tour.

js_surrealism 9th July 2016 05:29 PM

Ok I'm watching that Days performance now, and the autotune - I see what y'all mean now T___T

Honey_Jae 10th July 2016 01:18 PM

Just ordered my copie yesterday. Hope it will be coming soon :D

AyuGAME 10th July 2016 05:25 PM

I really love part of TA tour when she sang Days..she really enjoy the moment..especially on the interlude part..I really love her hand movement...

I still remember the first time I watched her Depend on you performance, she really stiff and still looks amateurish and now she really a professional singer but still I still got the same pure vibe from her...it's really wonderful feeling...

truehappiness 12th July 2016 02:24 AM

So...

You know how this album sounds really good?

It was mixed almost entirely by the guy who did most of her mixing up until like 2009, lol. AND REAL DRUMS!

omg someone chain him to Ayu's leg so he never leaves again

truehappiness 12th July 2016 02:41 AM

He's always been around mixing her lives, so I dunno why he stopped doing her albums.

The Sumapura thing is dang convenient, lol.

js_surrealism 12th July 2016 03:04 AM

So who mixed A ONE etc? Can we crucify him (or offer him a job with someone else) so he never comes back?

truehappiness 12th July 2016 03:14 AM

From A ONE onward, this group has been co-producing Ayu's PVs starting with The GIFT.

http://www.nagaihoshi.co.jp/index1.html

The guy who did A ONE worked on a few tracks here. Namely Survivor, TODAY, and Summer Love. Koji Morimoto did basically everything until Party Queen where he only did a song or two then was not present after LOVE again until the latter half of sixxxxxx and nearly all of this album.

And wow, the end of Winter diary is a little morbid.

mellody 12th July 2016 05:00 AM

So glad for him to be back!

Now after all those names are listed... I'm surprised to see Daisuke Kadowaki Strings is there again.
The last time I saw that name is from Ayu's Secret album (and they perform for Final Fantasy Brave Exvius Soundtrack, which is awesome).

Then, since when she got so many choruses? The name seems unfamiliar too.
Lastly, Many Classic Moments produced by RedOne? I thought it's only Komuro alone.

Ayu's version was produced by RedOne. It was mentioned back when the globe tribute album was released.

Some of the chorus members may be Timmy's friends since they were on his songs, lol.

Interestingly enough, almost all of these strings units were formerly a part of Gen Ittetsu Strings, Ayu's former go to strings group.

Gen Ittetsu Strings? I think they are mentioned in Secret album also.
They still active nowadays, but mostly for anime music and some anison artists.

Interesting poll result, TODAY is so good lyrically, maybe that's the reason.
I'm surprised to see Survivor, it's actually quite popular, and Many Classic Moments... I thought globe cover song would be popular.

I'm not surprised at all. I'm glad TODAY is getting love from at least the Japanese fans, it's one of my favourites as well :D

attractive nausea 12th July 2016 09:02 AM

So sad to see both Timmy songs get so little love! Now i wonder if the japanese fans even liked BRILLANTE.

tokyoxjapanxfan 12th July 2016 09:30 AM

Today, mad world and Mr. Darling are my faves :)

truehappiness 12th July 2016 09:54 AM

It's hard for me to say what my favorites are cause I like the whole album so much, lol.

AyuGAME 12th July 2016 11:26 AM

to see many classic moments that low on the poll made me really sure that Ayu need to stop working with TK in the future releases.

truehappiness 12th July 2016 11:36 AM

I think it's low on rankings partly cause we'd heard it already.

//ABEST 12th July 2016 11:48 AM

it's a shame Many Classic Moments didn't receive the same attention and love than Movin' on without you did since i find it way better than MOYW. i like both but Many Classic Moments is superb for me

ayu-michan 12th July 2016 11:58 AM

Kind of meh for Many Classic Moments to be included on the album though, quite out of place. Though I love the music TK produced for globe, I don't want to see him collaborating again for at least 2 years.

Aderianu 12th July 2016 12:09 PM

I think people didn't vote because it's cover song and not because they don't like it

pimenta 16th July 2016 08:54 PM

I'm not surprised TODAY is the one with the most votes there, even though it's the one I like the least...

I think Many Classic Moments is low on the poll mostly because it's a cover, it feels like a bonus track. I think it's natural it won't receive as many votes are the original tracks.

It's funny that Summer Love is in 5th place! It's my least favorite song from the album. :~ "Breakdown" and "Mr. Darling" are my absolute favorite.

Not really sure if there's a better place to talk about it (there isn't a separate TA Tour DVD thread), but I'm kind of disappointed with the editing of the TA Tour. (I only just received my album+bluray set).

Audio was done poorly, her voice sounds robotic in parts, they didn't really do a very good job of capturing the atmosphere of the show at all, which is sad as it's probably my favourite time seeing her live.

It was also a shame they cut out the acapella section, but she had an annoying MC with Timmy so not really complaining about that missing.

Zeke. 31st July 2016 08:00 AM

It really is such a travesty the way they continue to butcher her vocals in post like that. I watched Untitled 〜for her〜 the other day on youtube and then booted up A BEST LIVE and the difference is staggering. I couldn't watch it. You can't feel anything at all coming from her when they process her so much that she becomes flat and the sound emotionless. :no

Actually A BEST LIVE wasn't THAT bad, it was only the beginning when they switched to different software/settings. My guess they were using Melodyne or similar program before and then started using Auto-tune. The real nightmare began starting from CDL 2013-2014. They ruined Premium showcase, A-nation 2014. Then for some unknown reason they returned to an old editing technique, so A-nation 2015, CDL 2014-2015 and Arena Tour 2015 were nicely edited. And then the nightmare continued with CDL Made in Tokyo and TA Tour 2015. Oddly enough there was 1 song in CDL Made in Tokyo that was edited the old, normal way - WARNING.
I'm so happy that I didn' pay for TA Tour DVD. The moment Ayu opened her mouth in the first song I knew they f**ed up her voice again. I tried watching different parts, but couldn't stand it and deleted the file. I enjoyed her human voice in MS Flower performance thinking that it most likely will be insanely robotic in upcoming AT 2016 broadcast.

luna7996 27th August 2016 03:08 PM

Didn't know where else to post in case anyone else is interested but Made in Japan bluray ver is 20% off right now at cdjapan. I just got my own copy together with the 1500 points I had been saving up it came down to almost nothing. =)
