Those preview vocals are... Not good... Like at all

She said at the beginning of Love song "every day, no matter what happens, never give up on love, dreams and hope. I want to finish with this message, singing this song".

there was really strange happening by the way. she was announcing her band and when she announced keyboard (or someone) the music was shut down absolutely and the hall had 1 or 2 seconds of total silence! this was soooo strange.

It's unfortunate that it became sort of tradition that she looses her voice on the day of broadcast.

Her vocals don't sound perfect but I've heard worse, she looks beautiful. But the tour is more of the same, nothing new or exciting. Why were her dancers on stage during who?? That ruined it for me.

Just gonna put it out there that inside the Arena in the first 2 days, the vocals were damn near impeccable. Maybe a bit shaky on Warning and Virgin Road but other than that no problems. Walk was particularly impressive as I can imagine that it is quite difficult for her to hit those high notes in it. Really shouldn't have been taken out, definitely my highlight of the entire concert.
Also, the cart thing going around the arena was amaaaazing. As it was my first Ayu concert, being so close to her was like a fucking dream come true. Never screamed so much in my life hahaha

The dancers during Who... the are always there. in.almost.every.concert. I think only during Stadium Tour 2000, there were no dancers. :o

Thank you for everyone who shared the tweets containing the clips! It's unfortunate that her voice wasn't the best on this day of broadcast, but from the previews I'd say that her vocals sound better than last CDL's! I hope some good soul recorded the stream so we could experience the performance a bit better.

Meh, not excited at all to watch it, which is no surprise.

It's sad to hear her voice being not as good on the broadcast as it could be. But I'm not surprised, 3 concerts in a row and the last one is the one recorded? It's only natural that her voice will be the most "used" at that point.

She sounded perfectly fine on the 2nd day. I didn't notice anything major, she wasn't "CD perfect" but still really good in my opinion!

Oh man, it's so sad (but it was to be expected tbh) that Ayu's voice was worse on the broadcasted date... But still rather good, at least in my opinion.

I like Love Song and I get the strong message but I really love Walk and I wish we would've gotten another performance of it...

Looks and sounds really good! I like the thing with lifting her up.

I just watched them bowing and thanking everyone while ayu sings. That took away from the song some how. Whatever happened to the moment when ayu presents the dancers, couldn't they do it there.

Alright, the references to the Last Supper are pretty minimal. I'm not sure I'd have gotten it myself when attending. Quite a simple performance, but nice.

Her voice isn't that good here though. How unfortunate they broadcasted the last day with the worst vocals.

christmas is pretty much like valentines day in japan. Its more of a fun day instead of a religious day. You still have people who generally celebrate it, but its optional in japan :P more for the shops

The last supper is an internationally famous painting regardless if people understand the religious meaning behind it. I would think that most Japanese people understand the concept, despite not that many being Christian. Most Japanese are non-religious entirely but culturally very attuned.

The Last Supper seens to be a very "in" concept in pop music right now considering it was used by Madonna on her last tour and kinda used by Beyoncé on her latest Grammy performance

I know it is the biblical last supper theme but I just don't get how it connects to Ayu or her songs and tour. Just seems like she put a table on stage with dancers.

Pretty much like the cdl opening with kanariya, the performance is alluding to the end, probably of her career, with Ayu reuniting with her performers and her audience for a "last supper".

It's her last reunion before her death. Or that's how I understood it.

The opening of the tour is also very much like a funeral, with the dancers dressed in all black and laying roses down on the stage.

That's not the first time Ayu have used Christian Religion as an inspiration (aesthetically of course). The whole wedding dress thing, the reference to "Maria" on M, the cross on kiss'o'kill... It's pretty much a pop aesthetic not the religion itself. And the Last Supper is more a reference to the painting than the actual meaning behind this (Jesus and the guys and etc).

Yeah. But remember that she's dealing with issues from her right ear. While being deaf in her left. She sounded horrible at the beginning of 2008 when she lost her hearing in her left ear. So, it's something she can't control right now and I think she actually sounds pretty good for what she is dealing with right now.

Her voice sounds really exhausted from those snippets. I think it's better if she stopped performing 3 nights in a row. Hopefully someone in her team was smart to have an audio recording of her performances from either the 1st or 2nd night in Osaka and use that to dub over the concert. As someone said before, maybe it is better if they record the concert on a different date besides the final, as her voice has not been in the best condition on the last date

It sounds really okay to me, she isn't off-key .
However, sometimes her voice sounds exhausted, that's right.

For some reason they don't dub over her concerts even if the vocals were horrific. They just pitch-correct them. Only vocals with lyrics mistakes are replaced.

Its just sad that the vocals from the broadcast date were nowhere near the vocals i witnessed and heard on Nagoya stop. She sounds so tired here.

The voice on TV version is always really horrible !!! I went to see her on may at Yokohama, and on live, her voice is really nicer ! Even if she's tired and sings badlly sometimes, the mix TV version is not good at all. It's better to see her in real and on the DVD/BD versions.

Yeah she sounds tired but good (better than the TV ver. of MIT and last CDL), I think the problem is (in part) the TV sound quality, you can barely hear the bass, the music and voice don't mix well.

I'm on the Virgin Road performance right now, I had to put some in-ear earphones with a really great bass and the sound improved A LOT, she sounds really good!
