I think someone seriously needs to slap her across the face, seeing as so many of the leaked and bonus tracks are better than the tracks on the album. Plus the fact she's picking **** like 2 Hearts as singles and now apparently Wow is the next single. It's like she's trying to make it flop harder than Impossible Princess.

Anyone have the link to the full album? I downloaded it and it seems to have all the tracks, but some seem lowish quality and No More Rain had a bit at the end that seems to be part of a radio show. :/ (unless it's part of it?)

I read an amusing Kylie-related article from a free newspaper here , it's about a swedish pop singer Pandora & and the song "On A Night Like This" which she and Kylie have both recorded. link to article (in swedish)

the gitst of the article is that Pandora has been angry at Kylie for "stealing" On A Night Like This, eventho Pandora herself had originally rejected the song from her second album, but she claims she was planning to release the song in Australia (:rolleyes). Kylie released it officially before Pandora after receiving the song from the songwriters.
and now Pandora says she's amused because according to her there's another "face-off" between her & Kylie because Kylie's X & Pandora's new remixed greatest hits album are released around the same time :rolleyes

Pandora is pretty smart tho , this is the only way she'll get the papers to write anything about her :D

Must say i am pleasantly surprised with this album -- i usually only enjoy Kylie's singles, but there are some brilliant tracks on the album (and bonus tracks!)

currently my favourite is a tie between Like a Drug and Speakerphone, but man there are so many good tracks on this album!

Is "wow" confirmed to be the 2nd single? here "In My Arms" has shot up the charts , I was listening to the radio here today & it was the 2nd most requested song today. I was thinking maybe it's going to be the 2nd single ?

also Kylie's next world tour is going to come here to my country too , at next summer in June. too bad it's friday, the summer is really bad timing for me cos I work the weeks & most of the weekends and I can't really afford to take any time off from my work. not at least on friday ...

After listening to the whole album now (X) I really will be happy if "Wow" is the 2nd single. It's definitely a standout track, I love it! It reminds me a bit of "Love at First Sight" somehow. "In My Arms" is okay but I don't like it that much, and don't like the version with Jolin at all.

I --LOVE-- "No More Rain", the lyrics really did it for me. I also am totally in love with "Like a Drug", I'd love for that song to be a single. I REALLY love "Magnetic Electric", I'm dissapointed that its just a bonus track and not on the actual album. It's so addictive. abd "White Diamond" is simply GORGEOUS. I swear, the bonus tracks should all be on the album.

The whole album is way better than I thought it'd be from the previews. I'm loving it! I'll definately buy it when I see it in stores here.. a copy for my car too :P Love it so much!

and I bet the tour will be spectacular, they always are! To me she's like the only one who can rival Ayu's tours. Kylie's are so futuristic and just so amazing omg I'm getting excited just thinking about it :D

I think Kylie said on a radio show recently that In My Arms is the next single. If there's no news about US dates, I'm going to the UK for my graduation present :D

X has debuted at Number 1 here in Aus also going Platinum on first week sales alone :love and she kicked The Eagles out of the top spot along the way, finally. I thought they would never leave.

While 2 Hearts is at 9 in its third week... better than I expected.

so I've been listening to X a lot, overall X is a great album but it's not perfect. I have a few minor gripes about the album (besides the obvious "2 Hearts" lol):

I feel Sensitized feels out of place, it's very Light Years-esque & feels a little dated on X. It's a ok song but I'm just not too fond of it.

Nu-Di-Ty should have been booted off the album, to appear as a B-side or something. one fergie/gwen-ish spastic track is enough and I very much prefer Heart Beat Rock.

All I See would have needed a little more work on the lyrics. this is a very mild annoyance & just bugs a me little bit cos All I See is still one of my favorites off the album , but the lyrics just are very RnB-cliche that really remind me of Janet Jackson and somehow just don't sound perfect for kylie. I prefer pop-cliche for kylie :P

The reason why I'm being negative with the album is that there's a big selection of leaked / bonus tracks so it's very easy to judge the album tracks against them :o

what do you all think about X?

I think none of her albums will reach the high power of "Fever" which is probably her best album.

I'm quite disappointed with X to be honest. I expected a lot more after hearing it would be the next Fever and all that. Personally, I thought Fever was easily 10X better, I also thought Light Years was better as well. It's slightly better than Body Language. There isn't a single standout track for me. King or Queen is probably the only one I've listened to more than twice and that's not even on the album. 2 Hearts was a pretty big disappointment, and there are quite a few songs that I can't even stand because they're simply annoying (Body Language had the same problem), such as Heart Beat Rock and Nu-di-ty. I was really hoping for better. Unfortunately, I don't even think I'll be buying the US release as I had originally intended.

wow really? IMO it is easily much better than BL and I like it more than Fever. For me it equals Light Years as my fav Kylie album... Like a Drug, Speakerphone and The One are pure bliss and Rippin' Up the Disco should be on the album proper + released as a single KYLIE!!
I agree that Heart Beat Rock and Nu-di-ty suck, them and 2 Hearts should only be B-Sides at most.

It makes me happy that I can say without bias that it ***** all over Blackout (even though I like that album as well), I love Bloodshy & Avant!!

Kinda sad though that alot of the leaks/bonus tracks/B-Sides are better than alot of the album tracks... seriously, EMI should not have let Kylie choose what to go on the finished product and someone really needs to shoot William Baker like now.

Better than Body Language, not as good as Fever. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. I count the leaked tracks that didn't end up on the album as part of X, though, and since some of them are among my current favourite Kylie tracks, that improves my opinion of X.

I can't really compare X to Fever yet because what made me fall in love with Fever was the music videos and live performances, the overall fandom of the album. I fell in love with "Come into my world" because I saw the video on TV, "In Your Eyes" cause I heard it at a dance, "Can't get you out of my head" because it was playing literally everywhere and everyone loved it. And then I ended up seeing the KYLIEFEVER concert on TV which BLEW ME AWAY..

X didn't get to that stage yet I guess.. But a better lead single would have been better.. I mean "2 Hearts" is just.. no! But it still has the potential I guess, with a few better singles and lots of live performances and better music videos than 2 Hearts, not to mention KYLIEX2008 tour

I like Bloodshy & Avant a lot too, but I still don't like Nu-Di-Ty :o

I'd rank X a lot better than Body Language, but it's just not as good as Fever.

I do have some gripes about Fever too: There's one track I have issues with. it's "Dancefloor" , I think the lyrics are too rhyme-y & the whole song is a bit blah compared to the rest of Fever. gonna lose it to the music - got my body gonna use it :eviltongu

My ideal Fever would have the brilliant "Good Like That" instead of the dull "Dancefloor", tho they're both on the japanese Hyper Edition so whatevs :P

I'd like to see Excuse My French too, but I sorta understand why Kylie & co keep denying the song even exists since people would think the song is about her french ex-boyfriend and unlike so many other artists Kylie doesn't make her private life in to a spectacle just to entertaint the masses ...
Kylie having a hidden track isn't completely out of the question, Dannii had a hidden track on Girl (Coconut) & on Neon Nights (Come & Get It remix).

I also picked out the singles. Club single would be just a maxi-cd with remixes & no music video. Speakerphone might also be 2nd club single.

I'm curious to hear if anyone else has a realistic vision of how X should have ideally been?

That's pretty close to my ideal tracklist, but I'd choose Lose Control, Fall for You and White Diamond over Speakerphone, When the Cat's Away and King & Queen (can't remember hearing Feels So Good).

X is such a great album. I think it's just as good as Fever, and DEFINITELY better than Body Language. I think X is quietly awesome, while Fever was kind of more POP EXPLOSION.

Ugh I'm so annoyed, I cannot find X in any store I go to here in Canada. I went to MusicWorld and a bunch of dept stores and nobody had X. So annoying.. I bet it's gonna be everywhere once it's released in the US.. everything gets momentum here when it's released in the US unless it's a Canadian artist I guess

it says on the wiki that the US edition will have two discs, but the other discs contains interviews; tracky by track discussions & kylie reflecting on her career.

I wonder if the rumored special edition will be the US version re-released in UK+EU.

an interview disc is a lame idea imo, I'd rather see some new remixes & b-sides & outtakes. usually the US edition has remixes & b-sides from the european singles.

overall the sales for the album have been a bit on the low side, just a bit better than on body language, and that's not good considering the X has had a lot more promo than BL had. I think it's around half a million copies sold.

X isn't doing so well in japan, it debuted at #40 on oricon.

I still blame the shitness that is 2 Hearts on the sales, now they can't make up their mind as to whether Wow or IMA should be the second single, imho I think it should be neither...

We have a two disc version here, I really liked knowing her thoughts about each song. I was gonna order it from Japan but then I saw it on the shelves alongside the normal version :D, only $2 more.

I blame the luke-warm sales on 2 Hearts too & just to the fact that X just isn't as good as everyone hoped it'd be :o

too many good tracks ended up on the cutting floor in favor of "trendy" tracks like Nu-Di-Ty by the "hippest & most happening" producers like Bloodshy & Avant.

Bloodshy & Avant tracks aren't bad necessarily, but they might aswell have been on Britney's Blackout. there's really nothing Kylie about them.

IMo if you're been in the business for few decades already, you shouldn't be the one to chase after trends. you should be the one who creates them :cool

I agree, there were really good non-album tracks. Nu-Di-Ty was one of the biggest disappointments for me.
