yes HMV HK does ship overseas & yes they do sell the Japan press of singles/albums .

shipping - not really because you have an option to choose in whether you want to go for standard shipping or premium shipping unlike for HMV Japan where only EMS is used

but regarding whether is it the long slipcases ones I'm not sure you have to contact them about it

yeah it's a bit annoying but it's fine with me , I have been buying stuff from them since March & I have no problems with them in that I can buy OS presses of albums/singles & shipping charges are pretty reasonable too

^ Yes they are. I bought some on eBay and they looked exactly like that.

The only problem is that because of the OBIs, the re-sealable bags end up being really tight around the CD, and sometimes they just don't fit in. I always have a hard time putting them in. So if you're someone that opens your albums and singles a lot, you're better off never buying them. (I couldn't fit either of A BEST 2 CD+DVD in the bags, the sides ripped everytime.)

And yah it is so tight...it's perfect without the obi's but it gets very tight and it rips on one side. But who cares lol, everything looks so much prettier with them on.

Nah, only ended up costing me an extra $10 to get it from ebay. Its also been sold out from mu-mo for a little while now.

Since they've been sold out on mu-mo.com I noticed they go for 6,000 to 10,000 yen on Yahoo Auction Japan. Soooo yeah... quite expensive!

On february I preordered Asia TOUR 2007 and ayu-mi-x 6 (-GOLD- and -SILVER-) (and bought some singles) at CDJapan... then I waited until they were released... on march 25th (1 day before ayu-mi-x 6 release) I wrote:

But i didn't received them... not the 26th... nor the 27th... and so 1 week passed...

I called the local post office to tell them that my order was delayed, they told me to be patient and wait at least 2 weeks, maybe my package was at the custom office and I'll need to pay a little fee for taxes and such...

I waited 3 weeks...

I called the office again, they didn't gave me the EMS phone number because 'supposedly' only them are allowed to call there... so they asked me to call the next day. So I did and they told me just the same... my order was at the Custom office and it was still there... maybe something was taking them some extra time to 'check it'...

I kept on checking the order status, the only thing that it said was:

"25th March - Arrived at EMS Mexico"

And I waited and called the post office every now and then, for 5 more weeks...

And finally, a woman gave me the EMS phone number, just like that :s, I called and this was the conversation:

[June 5th]
Me: hi, I'm calling because my package is stuck at the custom office and it doesn't seem to leave the place :/
EMS Woman: when did they send it to you?
M: march 22nd...
EMSW: O_O ....ok sir, do you have the tracking number?
M: yes, it's bleh
EMSW: *search* sir, your package is at the custom office... there is no other explanation... do you want me to give you the phone number?
M: T_T yes, please....
EMSW: right away sir!... but wait... it doesn't specify which custom office your order is at... please wait, I need to ask something to my supervisor...
M: ok...
EMSW: *chats with someguy*
EMSW: Sir? are you still there?
M: yes...
EMSW: ehem... I got... very bad news sir...
M: yes....?
EMSW: you order was stolen.... ._.
M: WHAAAA?? WHEEN?? HOW?
EMSW: The truck with all the (EMS) international packages was robbed the very same day your order arrived... on march 25th...
M: *faints*


So I contacted CDJapan, they told me to wait 1 week so they could do some research, after that they send me comething like this:

"Hello from CDJapan

Japan post has confirmed your order to be lost, we will reship your order immediately"

a week and a half passed and FINALLY I received my order!!!!!!!...

the reshipped order arrived in 4 days, that's the usual time it takes via EMS :/ (3~6 days)

but yeah, the "overall" time was about 2 months and a week... ._.

Are the shipping costs of CD Japan expensive?
Because I'm considering buying things from CD Japan.

^ I ordered only one CD from CDJapan so far and it cost me 500yen for SAL shipping, so in my opinion, it is expensive.

So, another question. What is SAL, EMS, Registered Airmail and normal Airmail?

EMS: express mail, very expensive but very fast (a few days usually)
Airmail: takes 7-14 days usually; with registered airmail your package will have a registration number
SAL: cheap but usually quite slow. I usually ship my packages with SAL and so far the longest arrival time was 3 weeks for me.
