Musician DAIGO (31) is taking on his first stage role next spring. He will headline a new production of the musical "Little Shop of Horrors," scheduled to run at the Honda Theater in Tokyo from May 13 to May 30.

As an actor, DAIGO has only appeared in a couple of television dramas, including the series "Love Shuffle" that aired this past winter. In "Little Shop of Horrors," DAIGO is starring as the main character Seymour, a florist who ends up raising a plant that feeds on human blood. Previous Japanese productions of the musical have starred Hiroyuki Sanada, Takanori Nishikawa, and Koji Yamamoto in that same role.

DAIGO's supporting cast features Natsumi Abe (28) as Seymour's love interest Audrey, actor Shinya Niiro, and singer Isao Bitoh.

In the program, he will ask the audience to send in suggestions for an adjoining phrase to his tagline, “Wish!”

Niko Niko Douga boasts a total of over 1,500 registered users. I heard a few of their songs a while ago so I'm pondering if I should pick up an album of theirs or not.

I should warn you that their 1st 2 albums & 1st mini album DO NOT contain any singles & they only start releasing singles from July '08 onwards

if you want to get their albums with singles , consider getting BIG BANG ! or their latest album FIGHTERZ

if not , start with their 2nd album CRASH & BUILD which I really like seeing that I only skip 3 songs outta 11 tracks as compared to their self titled debut album

it's only July 2008 where they started to release singles prim & proper which shot their popularity up among 'other' things in the mix

even though their 1st 2 albums & mini album didn't contained any singles , some of the songs received PVs , in fact 5 of them are scattered within the 3 records

I guess singles really do help sales. That's good songs still got PV's. :) Those help too.

yeah for them to include singles in their 3rd album onwards's smart but I know other factors on why it contributed to their rise in popularity 2 years back

they were virtually nobodies 3 years ago when they were formed but I'm so happy that things really changed for them after they started to release their debut single onwards

it's not just the singles that helped them boost their popularity , it's due to 'other' things as well in the mix

Yeah, people finally noticed their music which is good (and their good looks. I can't believe they are in their 30s!)

Shakunetsu was used to promote the movie Wanted when it was released in Japan (DAIGO even did voicework 1 of the actors's in the movie aka Wesley Gibson) but in here you will not find any scenes from the movie .

Instead it has been replaced with forest scenes which bears resemblances to the same PV plot as Sekai wa Odoru which's really nice !
