the song doesn't really go anywhere...there's no climax.. the instrumentals are really pretty though, so I'll probably listen to the instrumental version alot. but it's okay, I love You were...! |

RED LINE might be sad, but it might also be an empowering upbeat song about how everyone's connected and so on. She hasn't mentioned anything about it, so anything's game.
2ch has a few comments of "I saw it!! BALLAD's PV on Mezamashi TV!" and "PV is too cheap! ... and something about a story with Shu-ya on a motorcycle. I feel like they're trolling since that's kinda fated-territory. |

There's so many people hating on the BALLAD PV and it's NOT EVEN OUT YET. People. Seriously. If you don't like it...don't watch it when it comes out, how hard is that? Whether it's Maro or Shu-ya I don't care, as long as the PV is nicely executed. I already love the song itself. So the PV is not going to change my opinion on it.
By the way, we get it, you hate Shu-ya or whatever. Ayu obviously likes him and his acting/dancing style or whatever, which keeps her using him. Would you rather it be totally not believable and her use GO-MI as a love interest instead? |

Ughh BALLAD is such a beautiful traditional sounding song. I was hoping for flower petals and kimonos. Something like part of Me but ten times as beautiful.

I really don't understand all the hate for Shu-ya. Why? Because Ayu uses him a lot? She respects him as a professional and obviously thinks his work is good. It's not for us to decide. It might not be Shu-ya anyway. It might be Maro or some random extra guy we've never seen before. But I really think it's silly to start not liking a song after you've already said you love it, just because of the PV.

But I'm just kind of tired of Shuya~ At first it was nice, but now it's just "Shuya...Shuya...Shuya" So when Ayu used Maro for GREEN in PCDL, I was just so relieved! It'll be nice to see a change~ I still love BALLAD, but I'll just be disappointed with the PV |

imo he's a crappy dancer and actor, and his entire stage presence distracts from the work he's supposed to be executing. I also believe Ayu is in a sort of comfort zone...and that's why she won't get rid of these people. Anyway, I hope we have JEWEL part 2 for BALLAD. At least then it wont suck. |

@emiko - I never said you don't have the right to hate, I just think it's ridiculous when no one even KNOWS for sure if Shu-ya is in this PV and already people are saying it's going to be horrible. Everyone should be used to seeing her dancers in almost everything she does by now. It's not going to change dramatically overnight.

BALLAD is such a pretty song, I wanted either a oriental-style video, or something original-yet-simple dramatic kinda thing, like the HEAVEN PV, that I love. fated was just cheesy and I've always regretted that PV cause it's one of my favorite songs :no However, the news about there being animation kinda of changes things, I guess... this could be interesting. Connected was awesome and really cool. Um, the lyrics start talking about a dream she was having, and then the dream kind of comes true, right? Or something like that? Maybe they'll have the scene in animation for the dream part, and then the same thing in live-action for reality. (that being said, though I'm not that against Shu-ya, I'd like to add that I'm all for Ayu using Maro more :heart lol) |
