I remember reading a rumour on a Jpop forum that was apparently from a tabloid or news site. Not sure if it's already been said here but I apologize if it has....

Apparenttly at some promo event ayu walked through the street on one block on Tokyo, and this caused fans to chase after her and actually destroy fences and shop windows. When ayu was told about the damage caused, apparently all she said was something like; "So? I should be able to walk down the street by myself", according to the tabloid/news.

Somehow I don't see Ayu having that kind of attitude, nor do I think Japanese fans are destructive. I think it was just a nasty rumour to make Ayu look like a nasty diva. What was bad was people actually believed it on this forum and were hating on her, obviously didn't know Ayu very well.

Well, I don't believe that Ayu would say it like that (she would have say the exact same thing in another sentences and less cold. She really cares about stuff like that, I guess), but in a way she's right. She should not be responsible for the damage her fans caused. She didn't break anything, she was just walking on the street. But we must know better, Ayu is not a nasty diva. Ayu worries about stuff like this, she actually worries about the sake of her fans.

^Exactly, that's why when I read it I thought it sounded ridiculous. It was good to see that a few people did stand up for her on there, though, with the same point that she can't be hold responsible for what her fans did, and that she would care.

Sounds like a twisted version of what happened when she appeared in Shibyua (I think it was) like last year when there was a flash mob when she appeared at that book store.
