Such a shame. YES, I know many bands would die to have these sales, YES, I know sales aren't everything and it won't make me love them less but I'm still disappointed. I much prefer KAT-TUN over NEWS and Kanjani8 and I liked it when they were still the current no. 2 of Johnny's : /

Oh well, as long as their music stays the same as recently, qualitatively ^^

^Yes, it's really a disappointing number for such a great single. They seem to be loosing popularity and fast. That's sad. I think they're getting better and their sales are getting lower. :(

KAT-TUN lost a lot of fans when Akanishi left , it's no doubt that the core fanbase of KAT-TUN centres on Akame

I think if both K & A left the group , it's basically the end for them & much as I like everyone equally , it's tough when stuff like this happen

but hey I support them because I love their music , not because of their selling power

Yes, it's not really that surprising, but sad anyway. What would be even more bitter for them is the possibility that Jin will sell more solo. I can see that happening.

Eternal is not released yet but we'll see . The stuff that Akanishi did with LANDS , it sold reasonably even though I don't know if it's fair for me to compare against what he did in LANDS against his solo stuff :x

Honestly , KAT-TUN can sell 1 million if not 10 copies of their stuff for all I care , I still will support them & already with CHANGE UR WORLD & ULTIMATE WHEELS , they prove that they're able to carry on without Akanishi

Yes but the thing is if they continue to lose popularity they may end up disbanded.

sales is just a minor aspect of things . I still feel that KAT-TUN's music's great which doesn't change anything for me

after all , it's not often I see any other Johnny's groups that bother to spend good $ in getting top notch composers/writers to write their songs & let alone getting their material mastered at fantastic if not expensive mastering studios such as Stephen Marcussen & let alone Tom Coyne

NEWS's sales have never been fantastic but they still play out to sold out crowds so let's keep it this way

even if if their sales are decreasing, it doesn't mean KAT-TUN aren't popular anymore! it's hard to base popularity on sales alone, especially with JE groups. if KAT-TUN can still get crowded tours, concerts, promotional stuff, and etc... then i think they aren't doing too badly? :yes sucks that some fans left when jin left, too, but all you can do is support them! honestly, i haven't really enjoyed their music until last year. i really loved QoP, but after that, i didn't feel the same way. but since last year, especially with NMP, i've come to really love their music more! probably even more than when i first got into their music in 2008, lol.

so if they continue in this direction, then i'm happy! :D i'd hate to think about disbandments, so i'm just trying to stay positive. :P

But today's KAT-TUN is NOT the same as the KAT-TUN five years ago...

i think it's time KAT-TUN branch out and try new things. not musically, since we all know the music's good & dandy, but be idols. i totally think they can still have this cool image, but be marketable too. i've always thought their weakness as a group was marketing themselves as "personalities". they don't have a TV show...i believe Maru is the only one that's on something regularly. i don't get why JE hasn't done anything to widen their fanbase, especially since they spend all this money on their tours and other music endeavors. i mean, Kamenashi could only do so much with his name...

i don't think Jin's sales will be that much higher than KAT-TUN's. of course, there's that whole debut-single-equals-huge-sales thing, but i don't necessarily think he'll be that big in the long run. unless his music reaches a wide base, of course. (...i guess that's why he's releasing Eternal/Murasaki first.)
