Nops... the song was promoted as a wedding song since the begining, way before we had even a chance to listen to it, once L tracklist was announced. Also, even if the song is dedicated to her mother, it's pretty clear on the lyrics that she was talking to her mother cuz she was going to get married...

no it was not. Misa-chan at that time translated a magazine interview where Ayu said that Virgin Road was a song of grateful feelings for everything and in particular for her mother. it is so in the chorus, btw, 'thank you for everything...." :innocent (Ayu & Mannie at the time of L release were not going to get married, lol. knowing that the lyrics were written even earlier, it was certainly not a purpousedly marriage-themed)

Moreover, in another interview she was asked what was the marriage song for her and she replied 'Many people would name 'Virgin Road' but to me it is 'M'

Yep. it was already stated that the singles were already written before she met mannie... so none of those can be about him...
although that can change with time...

行ってきました。青山のavexビルでこじんまりと開催です。
全曲聴くことができました。MUSIC CLIPもMaking clipを除く4本見ることができました。
正直な感想を言います。
RAINBOWがリリースされた時と同じ感覚になりました。
つまりは裏切られた気分になりました。
浜崎あゆみに関しては、ずっとずーっと見てきているので、
今回のアルバムはどんな感じなんだろうって予想はしていたのですが。
Party Queen~NaNaNa~Shake it
の流れはパーティーって感じでした。がやがや盛り上がるパーティーって感じ。
声がね、きつくて。あとは歌詞があまり…Lovesongsの収録曲のように英語詞ばっかり、 みたいな。
taskebabはtaskのインストかな？
call~Letter~reminds me~Return Road
の流れは好きでした。Return Roadはアノ曲のアンサーソングでしょう。
二人のことは二人にしか分からないってね。
Tell me why~a cup of tea
の流れも普通。
そして問題が次の曲ですよ。
the next LOVE~Eyes,Smoke,Magic
の流れ。まるでミュージカルソング。なんじゃこれ。今までの浜崎あゆみには存在しない感じの曲で、私には受 け入れられなかった。驚きを通り越して悲しくなってしまった。
そんなこんなでSerenade in A minorはあまり集中して聞くことができず(笑)

これは、CDLで聞いていたのでなじみのある曲。そしてとても優しい曲。
このアルバムの唯一の良心だと思いました。

ってまだ発売前なので詳しいことは書けないし、1回しか聞いていないので、3/21以降私の感想がどう変わるのか、自分でも楽しみです。

ただ1つ言えるのはこんなに言っておいてLIVEは楽しみだということ。
このアルバム、きっとLIVE化けする。巨大な怪物になると思う。

ダンサーズが一切でてきません、ティミーは出てきますが。

I don't like comparition to MOON/medium songs. I don't want mediocre mediums ;_; MOON is a beautiful song, but it's one and only, I don't want anymore like that XD I'm kinda sure, one from call and Letter I will be "meh'ing" XD

IM LOOKING FORWARD FOR SHAKE IT!!!!!!!! so excited.

but i like the idea of a PREVIEW PARTY kinda thing. it really does gets people hyped..since they really let the song information just leak like that. haha.

and..it feels like, its an appreciation for Ayu's album session

It's mainly just his/her personal opinion. But the poster does mention that the dancers don't appear in the PVs, not even once. Timmy does appear though.

I'm very happy that a lot of people compare "Party Queen" to "Duty" and "Guilty". I really love these two albums, because they're so dark and all songs on these two albums have very awesome lyrics!

But if the new album really is like "Duty" and "Guilty", then I'm even more disappointed that Ayu chose this album title and these covers, because people who don't know the meaning behind the whole concept, might not see it (jeez, I know the meaning and still can't see it!!).
BUT in the end the most important things for me are the songs, the lyrics and the PVs and if these things are great, then I can forgive the rest.

I'm looking forward to the new album, even though I don't like "Party queen" and "How beautiful you are" (I love the PV though!!), but you don't have to like every song, right?!

Maybe thats why Ayu mentioned Duty in her tweets as well...about the caged-ness...I guess this album will have similar sentiments as Duty
once again..the connection of the Leopard Prints!
