I also just watched it and I really loved it. She looked amazing and I liked the questions they asked her about what she would tell her younger self and so on.
I think it was a over all great 30 min special and I hope not only her die hard fans watched it.

I don't know, but something was off when she sang TO BE, I can't really put my finger on it, but it was somehow strange to watch. aeternal's vocals weren't good and I didn't like it. Especially not after a ballad like Voyage, it simply falls flat in every aspect compared to Voyage. Voyage was a beautiful performance. Vocals were good and she seemed very happy performing it. Definitely my favourite part.
Other than that I liked the talk, it was fun!

Thank you ! This year TV lives are indeed quite impressive.
I even wonder how on earth she managed to sing without shouting or being off key. It seems miraculous.
That said I have a lot of TROUBLE (huhu) enjoying her actual voice but it is something really personal... It found it okay during Voyage choruses but I didn't like TO BE at all.
Still, very good job ayu. Keep on the good work.

Oh and I have to say I was really pleased to see her acting naturally (I feel) during the interview.

My main problem with the performances is that it seeems that she doesn't know how to perform to a TV show anymore. I feel like she's so used to do her tours and big performances that she's not connecting with the audience that is at home. During TO BE and Voyage she does not look to the camera at least once, but you can see that for A Song For XX, during the best part of the song she's singing for you, looking at you. I don't know, that's how I feel.

Other than that Voyage was perfect! Her voice was well controled and I was surprised! She was screaming during TO BE's chorus, but that's her way of singing TO BE for the past couple of years. Overall the vocals were pretty impressive. æternal was basically the studio version, with the good vocals and all.

Btw, it's so funny seeing the M performance, with the band all in the back with low lighting. haha And gosh, her vocals during 2004 ♥

TO BE is a song she really should avoid now. I understand she really is trying, but it just doesn't sound good with her current vocal tone.

Voyage was lovely. Very gentle and delicate delivery, she should feel proud of that. aeternal works better as a song live, than as a studio recording. Really wasn't feeling it, until this live rendition.

I have never been a fan of TO BE and I think this song has always been difficult to sing for her and even more so today.

She looked really, REALLY pretty, so much better than in others TV appearances lately and sounded great imo her vocals were on point most of the time, yeah TO BE was probably the weakest performance but it was really good compared to the MUSIC STATION one from last year (it was last year? I don't really remember lol) and aeternal was great, the more I listen to that song the more I like it (I mean on the studio version). Wish we could get subs, she looked really relaxed answering those question and looks like she made a few jokes there.

Her best TV live this year, hands down. Her "screaming" sounded more controlled, all of it really. Yeah she had some pitchy moments...but she's never been a perfect singer. And for someone with her hearing issues on top of that? This was great.
