BanFan 16th March 2005 06:42 AM

Weird title. 'my name's WOMEN' PV sounds good, but I'll wait for the next album...

SCCCOOORRREEE!!

Baernash 16th March 2005 01:12 PM

OMG! What a great news! I can't wait to see "my name's WOMAN" PV :)
Thank you for info.

Surreal 16th March 2005 02:23 PM

haha the titles are bad.....sigh~ hopefully the tune compensates for the silly title

apples 16th March 2005 02:40 PM

I do not think I'll ever get used to the STEP you title. But the quality of the song depends on itself and not the title, so I'm hoping that's how it turns out to be. is this LOVE? is a ballad I think. I would have wanted a HAPPY ENDING PV because it was my favorite song off of My Story, too bad. But I'll be anxiously waiting for this...

LX Ayu 16th March 2005 04:07 PM

She doesn't know English give her a break. She should just go back to one word titles like Surreal, Rainbow, M, Duty, Evolution, Naturally and so on. New English made complex titles make her look rather English illiterate and stupid. Or she do some Japanese titles for once. Maybe Step You would sound better in Japanese?

And anyone know why certain words are in caps while the other 'minor' words perhaps are lower cased. She trying to send subliminal messages or just doing something out of the ordinary, even perhaps with nonsensical titles?

d0bbi 16th March 2005 04:08 PM

im mean text info..

Hugo_Perry 16th March 2005 04:10 PM

Like i had said before that she's tryin' to say STEPLOVE which mean like we call stepfather or stepmother while this is STEPLOVE, but no one wanna listen to wot i've to say... :no

If that were true, better slap her with some English books so she doesn't embaress herself to those who are native English speakers.

Then again, I guess proper English shouldn't matter in a country who barely knows a 2nd language. No need for 2 languages if you're going to keep to yourselves.

So I suppose she's safe from that.

It seems to me that ur very confident and proud of with ur english
If ur so troubled with the title STEP you why dont u say anything about LOVEppears too
I think ayu is trying to express something in this title. So until we know more about this I dun think u should say anything bad about her.
U should gather more info before u try to slap someone with your words

LX Ayu 16th March 2005 04:56 PM

Nah, I'll continue to make valid surmises about her titles.

Why don't I bash LOVEppears is because that actually makes sensewhen you combine the two together. Love + Appears was clever. STEP you is not. I also don't think she is ever going to explain her titles about the meanings of them so people will always have these discussions.

Wow someone who joined before me with less posts! You've earned my respect. Usually see people who joined like 4 months ago with 600 posts already... insane

bulmasman 16th March 2005 05:06 PM

Congratulation Kinix, you don't live on the forum :)

Once again LX, what's with the confrontational attitude all the time? so what if Ayu's english isn't perfect, her music is not made for an english speaking audience now is it? If she were to go releasing her music worldwide, maybe then it would be a valid argument, but give her a break.

And why SHOULD she have to explain her titles? do all other singers explain their titles? did electric six explain the reason behind Gay Bar? or how about QUEEN explaining Bohemian Rhapsody?

Corybobory 16th March 2005 05:14 PM

I agree with bulmasman... the confrontational attitude isnt very welcome. And we can speculate about Ayu's titles, but only she knows for sure. We should not put down a country if they dont know English as well as you do, although I'm sure many members do. And the stab about post count... that's kind of.... well nevermind.

In my opinion, Engrish is a dialect in itself, and Step you is quite fluent...

evolutionricky 16th March 2005 05:20 PM

yay!

evolutionricky 16th March 2005 05:24 PM

I think it would be interesting if she had some japanese titled songs for a change.

kristen 16th March 2005 05:32 PM

^yeah i agree! she only has 4 english title ones that i can think of... Hanabi, Kanariya, Sotsugyo Shashin (although this was a cover), and Hana...

Hm... if you read my previous posts and took those into consideration perhaps you wouldn't have posted yours.

Confrontational attitude is to slice up bias acts and thoughts and splice in something new on a radical side of the pool.

Singers don't explain their titles, not really, so why would someone post about "don't criticize until we know more"? See my statements I'm pointing out?

Like I said, Japan and its people stick to themselves. English isn't common there so these titles that make no sense will be fine.

"Like i had said before that she's tryin' to say STEPLOVE which mean like we call stepfather or stepmother while this is STEPLOVE, but no one wanna listen to wot i've to say... "

My first comment was to that with the English situation. If she was trying to say steplove then slap her with the good ol' English book.

Corybobory, about the post count, tell me honestly, if you see someone who joined on December 2004 and posted over 1000 comments. Doesn't that show they don't have much of a social life? No social life leads to obession, obsession becomes dangerous and can be claimed as stalking. Like... what's his face that got banned. Iforgot his name but he had over 10k posts and spent his life, his every day activities searching for meaningless useless info about Hamasaki. It's like wow! Devote your life to someone who doesn't devote their life to you. She's not a living god, she hasn't impacted the world with some HUGE phenominal thing. She just sings, has looks, good package. But whatever, if people want to waste their lives like that, that's fine.

Also Corybobory, don't say I put down Japan. Japan is my home country, I'll be moving back there after college, its my life. Something I'm going to devote my all to. If you think I have a problem against Japan or its people, message me on AIM so I can rip your head off on there.

Back to main subject, if she's going to make nonsensical titles then thats fine. she can do whatever. But if she knows for sure she's going to have this world wide listener thing as people from the topic who is bigger, hikki or ayu, then she better fix that stuff. I can pull so much crap from that post and use it against your defense in this post since people speak backlwards or something from one post to another. "she's knwon across the world and more famous" ok if that's so, then she'd come out with proper English titles with proper English lyrics if and when they are included to stay away from being criticized about her crappiness.

Conclusion - She can do whatever titles she wants, but don't say "don't criticise before we know anything" or don't make statements about her weird titles if you know she only speaks and breathes Japanese basically. If you are going to make posts like that, expect something from the opposite end.

2nd conclusion - its true Japan sticks to itself. Language culture and all. There is no real need to learn a 2nd language if you never need it. Its good to have if you're going to leave the country but not useful if you stay isolated. i.e; learning English in Mongolia vs learning Spanish in America. Spanish is almost required since Latin Americans are sparking up most of the US population. Where as English in Mongolia.... who needs that? Bad example but brief with easy premise to understand.

ps: btw banned man who stalked ayumi was Unimatrix :)

boogieordie 16th March 2005 06:54 PM

I wish someone would STOP her from picking ridiculous titles.
