^Whoa, I didn't even know I hit 500! xD

!!! I love Biology !!! it's so retro and different! Why haven't I heard of Girls Aloud until now? ...oh, yeah. I like in the US. >_<

^ what did you think of Sound Of The Underground?
it's their most sucessful. :lech

you must check out The Show and Something Kinda Oooh!

I originally had heard of the band's name through various places on the internet, but had no idea who they were since I'm from the US. Well, after hearing Sexy! No No No... about two weeks ago, I did some research and downloaded their greatest hits. Now I feel like a rabid fan. I just bought Sound of the Underground and What Will The Neighbours Say? through Amazon.com and should be expecting those in the mail soon. I can't wait! I'm glad to have discovered them, and I'm slightly surprised I hadn't sooner. I guess they've kind of inspired me to delve into more British pop, since it's all so good.

My favorite songs are No Good Advice, Wake Me Up, Biology, Something Kinda Ooooh, and Sound of the Underground. Oh, and of course Sexy! No No No.... Nadine's my favorite member as well. Her accent is just adorable! Irish accents are just far too cute.

I been a fan since WWTNS, and I can say that Biology, Sexy! No No No, Something Kinda Ooooh!, See The Day, and Wake Me Up are my favs. I'm also a fan of No Good Advice and Love Machine.

They really are Something Kinda Wicked aren't they? My favs have to be Nicola and Sarah, hehe always the underdogs with me.

I most certainly have been. She was always my favorite S Club member (and I liked them since S Club 7 in Miami), so when I found out she went solo, I had to check it out. I just ordered Funky Dory and Come and Get Me through Amazon.com as well. I'm so excited. I have all these great Brit Pop CDs arriving in the mail this next week or so :D

You have good taste. Our favorites are so similar. I'm not a huge fan of their ballads though. I think Life Got Cold is my favorite out of them, but even that I can't say I adore. I like them doing what they do best, strong up-tempo tracks.

I like all the members personally, but it's sad how Sarah and Nicola both rarely get any lies in songs. I was on a fansite recently that showed how many lines each member had in each of the singles, and those two and Kimberley were so far behind Nadine and Cheryl that I was almost in shock. Not like it isn't noticeable though.

What ever came of that?

I didn't expect her solo albums to be good but they ended up having surprisingly awesome songs, especially Come and Get Me.

With an actual Spice Girls reunion happening, I think that even if Girls Aloud planned covers at one point there's now less point in releasing them.

Argh, this thread made me addicted to those girls.

bondingo 2nd October 2007 03:33 AM

The title for the new album has been confirmed on the Girls' official website: Tangled Up. Not super original, but I'm not displeased with it either. I just hope there's a cool cover art, like the Christmas Limited Edition of Chemistry :D

Cyria 14th October 2007 11:11 AM

The new song, Call the Shots, is just too awesome. Now I can't wait for the album!

I'm loving Call the Shots. It isn't my favorite Girls Aloud song, but I really do like it. Something about the voices and the whole instrumental is just awesome. I'm sure the video will make me like the song even more, as I saw posts on the GA forum I'm a member of and they look stunning. They're wearing purple dresses on a beach in Malibu at night, with white tents and lit torches. I'm sure it will be fantastic.

Cyria 15th October 2007 06:59 AM

The small version of the cover on HMV looks simple but good.

Confirmed tracks:

* Sexy! No No No...
* Call the Shots
* Blackjack
* Fling
* I Can't Speak French
* Close to Love
* Girl Overboard

I wonder what I Can't Speak French will be like. Playful, flirty song?

kinomaniac 15th October 2007 02:34 PM

Hahaha, "I Can't Speak French" is such a cool title. It'd be nice if they put some french words in the lyrics.

Thanks for the news Cyria.

bernardation 16th October 2007 05:33 PM

the cover on hmv is not real, guys. is just some random photoshoot they did recently.
