^:shrug
I haven't heard her rap yet.

Does anyone have the PV for Call me in HQ? I can't find it. =[

GRACE 8th May 2008 10:53 PM

^Thanks for the suggestion earlier~ I was surprised by her English, it was really good o_o. I still have a few tracks left of Reflex, XP

I like her voice quite a bit, it's unique~

Nanako 8th May 2008 11:40 PM

Yeah DOUBLE's upbeat songs are more club bangers than hardcore rap. I agree that her slower songs do her voice justice but her fast songs are good too. I recommend Spring Love, Driving all night, Wonderful, Okaeri, and Midnight bus for people who are more into her midtempo/ballady songs.

I just saw the BLACK DIAMOND PV and I must say that both her and Namie were doing their thang. DOUBLE did seem stiff in some parts but other than that there was no problems. I'm familiar with both her and Namie's material so I kinda knew what to expect from both of them. Some of Namie's fans are being too harsh on DOUBLE though-_- Yeah DOUBLE's not the best dancer but at least it looks like she's trying.

Poor DOUBLE, everyone forgot about her and those who didn't trashed her.

Hikes! God forbid I have an opinion, huh? ^ ^ I can't discuss DOUBLE in the DOUBLE thread?

I've never even heard of DOUBLE until recently. I don't have a grudge against her or anything like that, wtf. She just maeks me laff.

lol sry I guess I got the genre wrong. The videos just really remind me of a 50 cent wannabe or something. Like she's trying too hard to look cool but looks ridiculous in the process.

That said, has she gotten plastic surgery? Serious question.

KaoriNeko 10th May 2008 03:28 PM

^Er - I wasn't trying to be mean. I was honestly surprised to see you here since you bashed DOUBLE. That's it. You don't have to get angry... >,>

Personally, I like that DOUBLE's Urban music is really hard. Not a lot of Japanese Urban artists come out with such hard songs like the ones in the US do, Call Me totally sounds like a US song. That's why I love it.

DOUBLE works with a LOT of Western producers and such. Which is why she's quite well known within the industry... :yes

Who's angry? You came across more angry since I made fun of her dancing skills in another thread and acted like I couldn't come in here because of that... :P Plz.

Like I said, I really like her mellow songs. The ones that are supposed to be more clubby just come off as a joke to me. :[

This is news to me. What big-name Western producers does she know?

fanmail 10th May 2008 09:40 PM

^ I don't know about big-name producers, but quite a load of her work is with American writers and such. I personally haven't heard of the producers before, but hey, they're American :P

Collaboration wise, she'd been contacted by De La Soul and Ak'sent among others to work with, and she got the Lupe Fiasco on her Reflex album.

When I have the time, I'll compile a list of names ^^;

KaoriNeko 10th May 2008 10:14 PM

Does anyone have the Call Me PV? :eyes

fanmail 10th May 2008 10:14 PM

I might. :innocent

I might do a DOUBLE DVD RIP PV PROJECT....

Kaiouforever 11th May 2008 01:48 AM

I don't think Double really looked that stiff, just in one part, but otherwise she was hot, and she didn't look "ridiculous" to me, I loved the video! DOUBLE is a hottie with a body, and she ain't afraid to use it! ^_^

fanmail 11th May 2008 02:48 PM

Ick, DOUBLE's one of those annoying artists who make new mixes for their videos and never release them. Does anyone want to rip the audio from her videos for me? I have the DVD, but ... I don't want to take it out of the wrapping again :cry

KaoriNeko 11th May 2008 11:57 PM

OMG! I'm in love with the BEST album. All the songs are so good, even the old ones! The old ones bring back such nice memories of 90s music. It's so nostalgic! I love DOUBLE! <3333333333333

^:laugh Please don't become a DOUBLE pusher Kay!

OMG! I'm addicted to BLACK DIAMOND! I've been listening to it ALL DAY! This is definitely on my list of top 10 songs of the year. Such a hot collabo! :weep

As for her new best album, I haven't heard it yet. *avoids Fanny and Kay*

KaoriNeko 12th May 2008 12:26 AM

^YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD IT!
Her music is so - amazing. I don't understand why she doesn't sell so well. :grumpy

Luv ~Venus~ 12th May 2008 12:33 AM

^Maybe because of her age. I wonder why some artists don't sell well too, Kay. T_T

I'm definitely dling her album. I still have to dl her other best...but that'll have to wait. :bchuck

Richieooxx 13th May 2008 01:52 AM

I actually like her music more then Namie Amuro's.
*gets shot*

Luv ~Venus~ 14th May 2008 09:40 AM

^Well, I like some of DOUBLE's stuff but its far from been better than Namie's stuff...*gets shot by His Space Hoilday* :bchuck

I tryin' to figure out why Namie sung the 1st verse of the song tho. I mean, it's not her song. It's DOUBLE's song. So it's only fair for DOUBLE to go first. =/

Kaiouforever 14th May 2008 06:23 PM

Maybe they want to use Namie's popularity (which is REALLY high right now) to attract people to buy the album...

KaoriNeko 14th May 2008 06:47 PM

Are they ever going to perform BLACK DIAMOND live?
