LOL! yeah, i think LIPS is one of those songs you can get those 2 mixed up. especially since it's hard rock and fast-paced.
i think in their ballads, you get to hear the individual voices the best. maybe. like, in GOLD ~Ballad Version~ from KAT-TUN Live Kaizokuban. *brace yourself for Jin's high note* :laugh ...wow Kame & Ueda have improved from 2005. :D |
Jin as one of JE's best singers? :no
He does that whiny thing with his voice that seriously pisses me off because I know that's not his real voice. He'd sound SO much better if he didn't do that. Because of that, I don't think his voice is that great. The JE voices that I think are the best are: Domoto Tsuyoshi (of course~), Tego, Tsubasa, Ohno, and I really love Nagase Tomoya's voice. But I don't think Jin is that high up for me, he really needs to stop whining so much. It pisses me off~ And WTF. That Mariah Carey screech was not cool~ |
I tried my best to listen to their 2nd album but for some reason/s , I'm not feeling the non singles at all :(
then again to be fair I think I better give the album a throughly listen to decide whether I like it or not but I do know that I'm liking the songs on the 1st album now ! EDIT -- ok at least so far the song that I like is Tanaka's Make U Wet solo . I like the music going on in there |

I can't believe he actually sang that high I like Jin's voice, but I can tell its not the best, its probably just mediocre compared to the greater JE voices. I really agree with the list kaori gave:yes, especially Nagase that man can really belt it out :P |

and i wouldn't be honest if i didn't say i got into KAT-TUN's music because of his vocal ability. and i don't think it's whiny at all! it was only recently that he's been putting a lot of attitude into the music. he might have penned ha-ha, Pinky, & LOVEJUICE, but he's also the creator of Murasaki, care, & Hesitate. i often wonder if songs like Murasaki would ever come again. :weep ...pretty OT, but since u mentioned Tomo-baby Kaori, i got into TOKIO because of Jin. LOL. he was the only person that like, covered TOKIO as a Junior. he's covered "Kimi wo Omou Toki" like 8 bajillion times. & Nagase's one of Jin's favorite sempais! :heart & karenpang, it took me a while to digest cKTIIYou, so maybe with time you will like it! :) |

It really bothers me. He has a great voice, but I definitely don't think he's one of the best. But I do love that edge he puts in his voice, it's got that gravely quality like Shige's. :D |
...maybe not. LOL. i've loved his voice since the first time i heard it. but that was 2005, it's different nowadays. haha.

i really wanted Jin to interact with their western guests, like Alicia Keys, Aly & AJ, Rihanna, etc. but he's always quiet. i guess he's shy when it comes to speaking english. i think he said a line of english to Ne-Yo but i'm not so sure. haha.
