Wow o_o interesting!

It's nice to hear her experimenting, the uplifting ballad deal can only last you so long >.>

paper_doll 9th August 2008 05:10 AM

Yeah, I'd hate for her to get stuck in that pretty-ballad rut.

GRACE 9th August 2008 05:12 AM

I wouldn't mind a ballad if she'd do a sorrowful one for a change, but if it was another uplifting one... x_X... But, I'm glad to hear that Kaze no Tegami will be something different

:laugh So true! Sad ballads are so much better than up-lifting ones. :laugh

GRACE 9th August 2008 05:15 AM

I'd really want to see how she'd do a sorrowful ballad, I'd want it to have a really powerful climax!

octocoffee 9th August 2008 05:17 AM

^ Er, duh! :D Happy=upbeat while sad=ballad in my head.

Kaze no Tegami will be rock-ish? Awesome.

GRACE 9th August 2008 05:19 AM

^Ashita e no Sanka, Hitotsu and Natsukashii Mirai are all upbeat ballads.

Do you mean upbeat as in fast tempo, or happy? Because on both counts I disagree :laugh

GRACE 9th August 2008 05:26 AM

^They where uplifting ballads, they weren't sad ballads.

I would definitely put "Ashita e Sanka" in the melancholy category, though, IMO. Although it's not particularly sad, I agree.

GRACE 9th August 2008 05:30 AM

^A song entitled "A hymn for tomorrow" can't be sad lol. From what I gathered (read: think I understand) in Hitotsu, it was pretty uplifting too, and Natsukashii Mirai almost hurt it was so uplifting >.>...

I think it can, and it doesn't sound happy at all to me. The lyrics aren't particularly perky either, but I guess people hear different things.

GRACE 9th August 2008 05:43 AM

Well, I agree it's not really happy, but it's far from being a sad song

I actually think it is quite sad, especially the last two lines.

GRACE 9th August 2008 05:59 AM

Musically it doesn't seem all too sorrowful to me =/ Maybe that's what's throwing me off

Akutenshi 9th August 2008 06:01 AM

Ah yeah, the music doesn't sound too sorrowful at all, I understand what you mean. The melody actually sounds a bit hopeful, in my opinion.

GRACE 9th August 2008 06:05 AM

Yeah, that's why I'm being thrown off, plus I never read the lyrics ^^;; It's the sound, the lyrics she can do what she wants with, but I don't think she should do another song with that hopeful/uplifting melody for a while

Zachery! 9th August 2008 06:24 AM

Kaze no Tegami will be more rock? 0_o

that's .. different.

I can't wait to hear it!
