Well, even if she were to sing Mirrorcle World again, I don't think it's a very bad. I, for one, would want to hear out for any improvements she has made over the year, because every time she sings Mirrorcle World, she makes progress.

Another thing is that she usually notices her best hit of the year on Kouhaku, so what would 2008's best hit for Ayu be? Hmm...

And oh yeah, with all the enkas around, the songs performed are all going to be ballads, ballads, ballads and ballads. If Ayu were to do Mirrorcle World, it would be a refreshing "experience"!

Wow that i didn't know. So it's like they pit a singer from a team against another singer from another team. But the votes are still cumulative right? So it's still ultimately a team effort?

Yeah, altogether the winner is selected based on a head-count vote within the hall, by the judges, and sometimes by viewers votes via cellphone on either the Red or White team.

You're right. This is only a prediction list by the producer, which is clearly stated at the begining of the article.

Wow, very nice list of performers this year on both sides! Should be a good competition. Ayu was no surprise on this list, but it's nice to see Namie back on there after so long.

And is this Arashi's first Kohaku? If not, it is their first in a looong time.

Even in that case, it's still pretty close to official because the Producer isn't gonna want to go out there and look foolish if half the people don't show up. He'd only post this if there were some confirmation for it.

I thought Leah Dizon showed up one year... soo... I guess not. lol.

I don't know much about this event but is there any interaction between team members? I would LOVE to see some Ayu/Namie interaction :D

Regardless of the fact that this isn't official (considering this didn't come directly from NHK and was not published on the Kouhaku website), I still enjoy the fact that there is a rumor going around about Mr.Children's appearance this year! ^O^

sorry if it's just a prediction, but at least this is from the producer, so it might be realized...
