^ I've heard of that ... is it really that good?!?!

As for the video.

I actually started to like it. Really. It's enjoyable and fun ... like a MV
for that song should be.

The CM would have been a better choice but the MV didn't effect my liking of this song.

lol MTV's Buzzworthy Blog gave us five reasons why Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera should be friends. Agree or disagree, what they said was pretty lulzy.

Sooooo, there’s a bit of controversy going on right now regarding Lady Gaga — whose new video, “Poker Face,” is futuro-freaky/ scary and not at all about Vegas — and Christina Aguilera. We’re not naming names, but it seems that SOME people think that Christina’s new look borrows heavily from Lady Gaga’s post-punk, Mad Max-meets-Xanadu electro-pop glam thing.

We’re normally not ones to take sides, but now that this sitch is reaching a fever pitch, we here at Buzzworthy have just one question: CAN’T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG??

The solution is clearly: make love not war.

And so, herewith, are our top 5 reasons Christina and Gaga should obviously be besties:

5. Halvsies on make-up! Not everyone can pull off peacock lashes and hot pink lipstick, but these ladies both know how to work it. Two electric blue mascaras are always better than one.

4. Remember when Christina AND Britney made out with Madonna? Of course you do! Grrl power is the name of the game. These two don’t necessarily have to swap spit, but trust us: one night out on the town with Christina and Lady Gaga in matching high-cut leotards, and we’re all gonna be talking about it foreva-eva.

3. If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. Everyone’s already talking about Christina copying Lady Gaga, Gaga sounding like Gwen Stefani, so flip the script, girls, and give us all the story we all want. Collaborate on a song! Pull out something like “Lady Marmalade,” part dos! Then say it was all part of your plan anyway.

2. You both have really hard names to spell: S-t-e-f-a-n-i G-e-r-m-a-n-o-t-t-a and Christina A-g-u-i-l-e-r-a. But just THINK of the possibilities of an Us Magification name mash-up: Christinagaga! Ladiguilera! And stuff…

1. Feuding is so 2007. Even Rachel Zoe and Nicole Richie made up for the sake of the children!

Love to love you, ladiez. (Except you, Rachel Zoe.)

Definitely a bit underwhelmed by the AMA performance. Beautiful was amazing, and Keeps Gettin' Better was good because she danced and sang live at the same time, but the rest she was basically just screaming and doing random vocal riffs. Doesn't really matter to me though; not every performance can be amazing.

I agree. It was nice to hear some of her old hits, but overall it just wasn't an exciting performance. I was more interested with the New Kids on the Block performance (which was great btw) Good job though Christina =)

Really? I thought it was such a joke LOL I sort of pitied them (almost...) I thought it was so terrible! :no

Xtina wasn't very good either. She barely sang, I was soooo disappointed :weep

I dunno, they entertained me =] although it is funny watching middle aged men sing and dance such as them lol The only good performance I watched was Taylor and Leona. Even the Pussycat Dolls wasn't that great imo.

^She doesn't look very pretty. :no

When I heard they dedicated 5 minuted for Christina I thought it was going to be freakin' amazing. She showed off her vocals like there was no tomorrow but that was basically it, the stage performance for me wasn't all there. I think the best performances of the whole night for me was Ne-yo and Beyonce (these were the only two performances where the crowd stood up).

CoriKaru 25th November 2008 08:40 AM

I caught the end of Christina's performance at the American Music Awards last night....you know the part where she didn't sing. Yeah.....rather embarrassing.

Halla 25th November 2008 04:13 PM

I'm surprised to find out that christina's BEST album is exclusive for just one supermarket chain in the US. I thought she was a bigger star than that :o

I dled her BEST to check out the new tracks. they're ok, but I don't think electronic music is really the best fit for her. christina's attempts at electronic sounds feel a litte safe & they just lack something. "Dirrty" is still her best single by far.

about her look, I've always found her to be really tacky and her current look is not going to chance my opinion lol

xtinavrilayu 26th November 2008 10:30 AM

I love Christna, she's my no. 1 :) and then comes ayu, avril, paramore :D

xtinavrilayu 28th November 2008 07:18 AM

She just made the best performance of THE YEAR!!!

Yeah, I hate the hair too. She's looked a lot better, but despite that: amazing performance. I was a bit worried after the vocals in the AMA performance, but that was fantastic.

kang daesung 28th November 2008 08:31 AM

Hmm, it was just "okay" for me. She looked really bad, but she sounded pretty good. But I wish she wouldn't warble all over the place; she sounds much better when she just sings straight.

drewbilation 28th November 2008 08:54 AM

^ srsly! we all know she can sing, so she doesn't need to prove it in every geedee performance. I also hate that grunting thing she does sometimes.

bondingo 28th November 2008 11:53 AM

Yeah, as much as I love her vocal riffs, it pisses me off when she goes so overboard sometimes. I didn't mind with that particular performance of Beautiful, but she's basically ruined a bunch of potentially great Fighter performances. And about the terrible grunting thing: I crack up whenever she does that. It's so absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary that I can't help but crack up whenever she does it. This performance is just a serious lolzfest because of it:
