I didn't like most songs on Exodus at first too, but brought myself to like them because they were Utadas work XD

PS: FYI is LOVE. I don't particularly like the other songs, except Dirty Desire because that's the only other one that sounds catchy to me ^^;

FYI is great! I like the way she used the sample. I like that movie and the music, so it's interesting to see it used in this way. And by Utada of all people!

I've always loved the tune of Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence.
This song is really nice - it's very "Utada Hikaru" actually but it'd fit in well with the Exodus album even. Doesn't seem like something that America would go crazy for though. It's too mellow. I like it a lot though.

Where Hikaru was singing Senorita I though she was saying Utada o_o I was all OMG COOL SHE SAYS HER NAME IN IT!?

No ones says she's going to release this as a single (though I'd love her to) but there were stranger songs than this one, and also songs that somehow remind me of this one (like Mario Winans with "I Don't Wanna Know") that got pretty high on the charts.
We'll see how america is going to react to her, eh? ^^;

I gotta say, I really like FYI, but I seriously get hung up on the part where she sings "MP3 MP3 players". This is so out of nowhere for this song and really doesn't make much sense as part of the message of the song. Maybe I'll get used to it and not really care anymore. I mean if Britney Spears can sing "womanizer womanizer oh baby you're a womanizer", and me look past it, I should be able to get past this blip. Just thought I'd share my feelings. I'm seriously anticipating this album, after the -letdown- that EXODUS was. *crosses fingers*

OMFG FYI IS AMAZING! i seriously love the instrumental of it the most though, lol. but utada sings it well. this is sooo much better than come back to me :P

The only one i actually like is Merry christmas... The melody is very very beautiful. :yes

The others are pretty much for the average u.s. market. Too pop/R&b :eviltongu. may be too bland for my taste. But i have to wait for the othe tunes. I hope there are going to be more gorgeous tracks like MCML...

Meehhh, nothing is really jumping out at me from these previews, although I really do need to hear full songs before I can form an opinion. The lyrics make me want to cry, though. "The sex was so good"? "If you want a piece of this stuff, you have to give a little"? *SHUDDER*

FYI is all right, but I wish it wasn't about such a stupid topic. BTW: I think the lyric "I don't want to feel no terror" is actually "I don't want a freeloader."

Andrenekoi: you talked about coming to appreciate Exodus after discovering the lyrics were so complex / clever. I was wondering if you could give me some examples? I actually really liked Exodus at first, but not because of the lyrics, so I'm hoping maybe you can open my mind a little. :)
