:laugh Same here. I don't think I can watch the JUICY PV with anyone...

emi♡ 8th April 2009 05:20 AM

:laugh I showed that PV to all of my friends.

It only got weird when one of the guys got seriously turned on by it hahaha it was still funny though.

Kuu looked completely awesome in that PV.

yeah she looked amazing in the PV despite all the stuff that was going on in there

4 hot wave still set in stone as 1 of her best singles to date imo

everything from the songs to the PVs were executed very well

ayuni 8th April 2009 08:25 AM

fork it to me koda because she's done :thud :love i hope she makes a new single soon

Me, Myself & Music 8th April 2009 08:26 AM

Can't wait to see some pics and footage from the TRICK tour. I seriously need her to perform Juicy, that song is too awesome for her not too!

Yeah, I was also surprised to see NO TRICKS.
Overall she's an artist who performs older songs as well as her new in her concerts, I like that.
Maybe she will surprise us in her TRICK tour with another great old song or even a song she never performed before?
I tend to believe that.
(but I defenitly think it won't be JUICY, sorry :laugh )

Right, most people tend to see just on side of her, a really shallow side and don't want to look further, it's a pity.

@Pink Shinigami:
Give her a chance, take a look at some of her documentaries or read some interviews - then you will see that she has a great character!^^
You can watch one of her concerts, too. In my opinion she's the best japanese entertainer as a whole, she loves singing, dancing and being near to her fans. She always includes her fans in her show, that's so cute.

In regards of her music you should try her first two best albums, BEST - first things- and BEST - second session.
I'm baised, but you can find on all of her albums great songs. :yes

I'd really love Kuu to perform JUICY on her tour this year. It's so sad she probably won't do it. :< But if all of the songs from TRICK are performed then... omfg. I was hoping she won't sing That Ain't Cool since I still hate it. But if she's gonna sing Driving, This is not a love song, Hurry Up! and Ai no Kotoba etc... that's sweet. <3

Well said. :D I kind of have same feelings for both of these songs. I really love Kuu more when she sings songs like these. Hopefully she'll do something like BUT and TABOO again someday. That would be awesome. <3

:D

I really want a full version of TRICK T_T . It's a good thing that she didn't made a full version of Kingdom , it will be a total bore & snoozefest

ayumisrael 8th April 2009 01:49 PM

I don't have any urge to see JUICY live (though I wouldn't mind).
I prefer she would do a normal and full m.a.z.e performance :D
Full version of TRICK will be highly accepted!

I 2nd that too :D

hpg23 8th April 2009 02:09 PM

She should only sing That Ain´t Cool if Fergie is gonna perform it with her at some point (maybe she could join on the last show, or in 2 or so shows, and during the rest of the tour she could perform any other song instead of TAC)
And I hope she doesn´t sings It´s All Love! or faraway D: (well, faraway´ll be ok if she doesn´t does much ballads)

the JUICY PV for me is one of the icons of J-Pop in the 2000s, and that bottle caused a huge impact on everyone. Koda was so fresh and new in the J-Pop scene back then...

and I agree with Karen that 4 hot wave was a real good single, that and BUT/Aisho and TABOO are the best singles of her career for me :D

KarenPang 8th April 2009 02:12 PM

:no at the That Ain't Cool comment , I really don't want that to happen . That song alongside with Venus are the only ones on TRICK that I skipped

however I don't mind a full Japanese version of That Ain't Cool ;)

Same thing happened with my friends haha :thud (btw I love your sig emi :luv2)

Nice to know there's a lot of TRICK love :D yay! Only song I didn't like from it was That Ain't Cool but maybe a Kuu-only version would be good on the tour!

In case it hasn't been posted yet:
KODA KUMI DRIVING HIT'S = #11 (34,702 + 9,645 = 44,347)
OUT WORKS & COLLABORATION BEST = #13 (32,491 + 7,702 = 40,193)

Slowly but surely they'll hopefully break 50k each

Corvina 8th April 2009 02:58 PM

All this talking about the tour make me so excited about it!
Hopefully we get to see pics, setlist and maybe videos at saturday already!

Thanks for posting.
Sales seem to be constant, so both can reach 50k+ I'm sure.

I don't know it's hard to say , I guess Japan loved the old Kumi during her ero kawaii days ?

after all it was during that time when she really shot up in terms of popularity & sales

ren'ai 8th April 2009 03:25 PM

^ I want to know that too.

Looking at it sales-wise, Black Cherry which was packed with ero-kakkoii and kawaiiness sold way more than Kingdom & TRICK combined which were both limited in ero-ness. So in terms of sales, maybe yeah, it was what set her apart from other artists.

:yes

I must say that ero kawaii days were a classic part of her lmao

no matter how you think & look at it , it's true to a certain extent , it kinda shaped up the way that she has gotten to this day cos I believe if not for the stuff that she put out during her ero kawaii days , she wouldn't be where she's now

hpg23 8th April 2009 03:48 PM

^totally agree, but I think that she never liked the ero-kakkoii/kawaii style, and that it was Avex which pressured her to sport it, so when she gained more control over her career she decided to tone it down.

I think she wasn´t comfortable with that image.
