Besides being an exciting debut single for Meisa, SHOCK -Unmei- has also turned out to be a very solid summer single. :D

"SHOCK -Unmei-" is an addictive R&B/pop song that sticks in your head the more you listen to it. The double-timed beats are particularly awesome and Meisa's vocals suit the song pretty well. She doesn't reach beyond her abilities yet at the same time she puts enough energy into her performance to keep it interesting. If she's able to maintain that level of confidence and control in her vocals, I think she'll be an excellent performer.

"Wasted" is a pretty impressive b-side and I wouldn't be surprised if it makes it onto Meisa's sophomore album. A poppy, punky song isn't something that I would've have expected her to do since hellcat was so R&B heavy but I think she pulled it off pretty well. The drum beat is awesome! My only complaint with the song is that the ending is too abrupt. I'd rather it was extended an extra 30 seconds or so and ended with a fade-out or something...

"Bad Girl [Bachlogic Remix]" isn't the greatest but it could also be worse. I think with more work it could've been awesome in it's own way (the beats are pretty good), but as it stands now, it sounds unpolished. It sounds like a demo that someone already had kicking around the studio and when they were asked to remix Meisa they just re-sequenced and rearranged the music and shoehorned her vocals onto the track. :P

Mediocre remix aside, I'm glad I ordered the single, but I just wish they had included an instrumental for "Wasted" since it'd be neat to hear remixes of that one. :(

actually I was kinda expecting this since it's a single we're talking about & not an album but still ugh can't help but feel depressed about this

I'm not really surprised that Shock~Unmei~debuted at #16. For a single like that I think it's good. Above all kuroki is not really famous as a singer.

I listened to wasted, I really love the arrangement of the song but the vocal part is a bit common. It's not her best song.

the single is alright, after listening twice to all the songs I got bored.

i don't really like the new single as much as i was hoping. the remix is OK, shock is good, and wasted is so so bad for me.

i am happy she managed the top 20, i hope she comes back with more hell cat-esque songs

^Yeah, I can do this. :) I have a scanner and I've also ripped DVDs before.

The only thing is that I ordered from YesAsia and my package only got mailed today and is also being sent via their standard service so I probably won't get it till the middle of next week.

If no one scans the single or rips the DVD before then, I can do it. ;)

I think the majority all feel that SHOCK is not her best work to date & it's like a step down or 2 from hellcat

I have to admit that it took me a few listens before SHOCK sticks in my head
