Kaiouforever 16th December 2009 02:03 AM

Not too bad, at least it was top 3, and 25k for first week isn't bad for her.

Tom Punks 16th December 2009 02:13 AM

GRACE 16th December 2009 02:15 AM

Horray for The Tales Series, since that's the only reason this single sold well BoA!

TITANIC 16th December 2009 05:35 AM

Finally her chart back to good. top 3 is like WHAT? a good achievment for her. I didnt expect she was in top 3. could be in top 5 I would be very happy. myself prefer BUMP BUMP rather than Mamoritai

BoA’s White Wishes lands at no.3, Album in 2010 and carnival
DannyTruong on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 5:00PM

Although BoA has been out of the media for a little, she still is on top of her game. BoA lands this week on Oricon charts at the no. 3 spot, which isn’t bad at all. (She peaked at No.2 for a day) The ranking puts her just behind with W-inds, whom she’s friendly rivals with in Japan. Every year BoA has met with W-inds at Kohaku and they always exchange friendly greetings, while the group would mention BoA in their blogs. This puts BoA at 25,000+ sales on the week. It’s also very rare that W-inds has done well enough to surpass even BoA.

BoA’s album which was recently taken off the list at major retailers, once thought to be canceled has been simply rescheduled to Feb. 10, 2010. Hey whats another month? No need to punish BoA for needing more time to finish her work. Her previous Japanese albums were entitled The Face and before that, Outgrow. This time it will be called Identity. I sense a strong progression from her previous albums.

And finally she’ll be at Ontama Carnival Jan. 23, 2010. More info here.

Wha....Perfume is not performing at Ontama Carnival this year.....bummer....but yay for BoA....I hope she does Mamoritai and Eien (yes its old. kill me)...BUMP BUMP can die lol....I guess that the song was good enough to win the Japanese over after all...despite the $3 budget PV/Covers...

Understandable. She doesn't sell as much so Avex doesn't spend as much on her. :( I don't know what kind of promotion she is expecting with IDENTITY. It doesn't look like she will have a song or new PV to promote it.

~Inori~ 23rd December 2009 03:47 PM

A song called "possibility" has been confirmed to be on IDENTITY. It will be a ballad and is a duet with label-mate Daichi Miura.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that there will be dancing in the PV. Yes, it is getting a PV.

Polyrhythm 23rd December 2009 06:26 PM

@_@ I hope its like Eien...

GRACE 23rd December 2009 07:01 PM

No annoying "HEY!" in the background this time, okay?

Beauty4123 23rd December 2009 11:23 PM

FINALLY an album PV for BoA! i'm so excited. this ballad better be good!

ストロボ・EdGE 24th December 2009 06:26 AM

Mamoritai is doing pretty good then (considerably)! That's so great. Although I loved the song I didn't think it would do that well and I assumed Bump Bump would have sold better.

Oh hey have there been any lives for it on MS or Heyx3, etc?

it's tie-in is selling it imo. Without it, I expect it would have been similar to BUMP BUMP

What I don't understand about that is why Japanese gamers would give a crap about buying something by BoA, much less out of her prime, much less a single, much less a physical copy ( :P ).

Maybe some people just like it in general? I hope so. And I say "some" because although we are celebrating it, it isn't anything groundbreaking and pretty average as far as sales generally go, but hey it isn't all about sales anyway and it's a great song.

Isn't that what helps most artists get some of the sales they get?
