she always did a great job singing rule, and so far...she sing you were...nicely...so i think her mssl performance will be a decent one...

Linoa62 17th December 2009 08:54 PM

Is that site trustworthy? Because there is a list of Kouhaku performances for this year, and according to this site Ayu will sing M and Sunrise :

Those all say "osusume songs" before them... so they look like songs that people would recommend from the artists, not the setlist.

Thank you for this information!
I was really not sure about this, on ayuchina it seemed it was introduced like it was the real thing XD
Sorry about that so -_-

Yeah and we saw evolution at the NL tour and it was nowhere near as bad as this and it wasn't that long ago. I think she just messed up on that one performance. We'll just have to see from the upcoming lives we get if it was just a one time thing.

I didn't think You were... was bad at all.

Yeah but it's obvious they edited it...

Andrenekoi 17th December 2009 10:08 PM

^U can make anything sound better by editing, but u can't do miracles... there are lots of recordings of bad vocalists where they go off-tune ON STUDIO and they can't totally fix it...

SunshineSlayer 17th December 2009 10:15 PM

^ Well at least I know that when she did Evolution at the Happy X'Mas show last year, it was pretty much as bad as the Best Artist one.

hidekirby 17th December 2009 10:16 PM

Oh I really don't want to mean it was good = so edited. No, just that you can't really rely on ayu's TV tour broadcasts nowadays (except CDLs) to say she sounds good.
Yet I've seen some performances, off-tune in TV and like perfect in dvd... (CDL 2007-2008 for example)

07- 08 made sense though.... that was horrendous lol. It had to be fixed lol.

AyUta 18th December 2009 01:34 AM

Depends on who you ask. :) But for her current vocal state it wasn't bad. Both You Were and Rule are shouty songs to begin with so since she mostly shouts in her performances these days, they probably will be at least bearable.

Ayumiko 18th December 2009 07:51 AM

I personally liked the MS rule and you were... performances...so hopefully the MSSL will be as good.

Midori-chan 18th December 2009 08:01 AM

Oh, I can't wait for that "Christmas Special" on Music Station! I'm sooooo looking forward to these two songs! <3

For DVDs you will always have some editing, at least an autotuner running over it that keeps all notes on pitch(that takes a few minutes for a complete concert), so I think they will probably put an autotuner over it as well on TV, but bad breathing for example can't be corrected and that IMO was the main problem in that TV performance, so I guess we can say she did a much better job in her tour

AyuWorld 18th December 2009 03:48 PM

so CDTV show is tomorrow, at what time? she's going to perform what song?
