I agree :yes

The only one for me anyway...although honestly, Ayu does have just, one of those special voices that is insanely touching...sadly...it's not that amazing...

Eiko's the only one that really fits the bill as far as being personally touching, amazing, and beautiful, for me.

Ayu!

alinicole89 5th May 2011 04:38 AM

alan's voice, especially in her earlier songs, is really beautiful and touching. I also love love love KOKIA's voice when she sings in a classical style.

Oh, and OLIVIA, of course! So gorgeous.

I was almost going to choose alan, but once I saw Chihiro on that list, it was the obvious choice for me. Her voice is the most inspiring to me, it really stands out above anyone in my current library.

AyuHamasaki01 5th May 2011 07:28 PM

Ayu for me :yes

I chose "other," because I think (criminally underrated) ACO is the most vocally talented female in j-pop. She has a fascinating range --- her high notes in "Hoshi no Kuzu" are chill-inducing.

After her, it's probably Ayu. The "roughness" of her voice is what makes it beautiful.

Chiharo 15th May 2011 07:32 PM

Akiko Shikata, KOKIA, Keiko Kubota and Wakana Ootaki.

susiowong 25th May 2011 06:48 AM

Oh god I just looked back on my selection and why did I pick Hitomi Shimatani?

Chihiro Onitsuka, KOKIA, and Nakashima Mika have more beautiful voices imo.

alan
Ayu's voice used to be the best for me. after lovesongs not anymore

sora-kara 26th April 2012 05:03 PM

I'm surprised Ayu has such a lead in this pole.
She is awesome and all, but i wouldn't consider her voice 'beautiful' by any means. Her music, absolutely! Her voice, not so much.

Anywho, I voted other, thinking of Eiko Shimamiya and Maaya Sakamoto.

letter 26th April 2012 05:34 PM

Similarly to the other poll, I haven't heard all of these ladies sing. I'm going to go by a vague recollection of Ayaka's voice and vote for her.

Kouyou 13th May 2012 06:35 PM

I voted for Ayu. I love her voice, it's so versatile. She can calm me down with her vocals in RAINBOW or get me energized with her vocals in Startin'. I know a lot of people will say that its the arrangement that makes those songs the way they are, but when I listen to them, I pay attention to Ayu and the way she sounds. The arrangement is secondary to me.

I also love Hikki's vocals, but I would argue that they are less versatile. They only shine when she is in her element.

melina_t 13th May 2012 07:19 PM

Mika, she's really good with ballads.

That's it!
I voted Ayu because I really love her voice.
Her voice is just the way it is and I extreamnly love it.
When I listen to her I feel like... BINGO! that voice is, for me, the voice... for my ears...the voice, absolutely :love

Even though alan is on the poll, I voted other, because it's a tie between her and Nana Mizuki.

Nana can do everything, power, beauty, emotion, calm, rock, pop, ballads... you name it. alan's voice is just... magic. It's otherwordly, while Nana has extreme talent, alan's is different in that it becomes it's own sound~ I love them both for different reasons.

Delicious n Bold 16th May 2012 06:10 PM

浜崎あゆみ

chikocchi 17th August 2012 11:57 PM

I have to say Nana Mizuki has the greatest singing voice and she's not in the poll :(
So other

Earth_maiden 19th August 2012 11:12 AM

other - Maaya Sakamoto

You just have to listen to Kiseki no Umi to understand why. :yes

DevilHunter_04 24th August 2012 01:58 AM

Ayumi Hamasaki.
