Well, the album still isn't going to be out for a two weeks so they still have a lot of time to change billboards and ads since (big) CDs are basically coming out every week in Japan, haha.

she doesn't need big promo. she's ayu, everyone who is going to buy this album probably knows its coming out. Billboards won't have the impact they used to earlier in her career.

although, its nice from the western side of the world to see her album is getting noticed.

I agree with the fact that Ayu doesn't need promotion. I mean, obviously not, everyone knows who she is.

But I disagree in that Rock'n'Roll Circus DOES need promotion. :no Ayu might not, but this album will. Knowing who Ayu is and being enticed to buy this album are two different things.

I think this album will be getting relatively decent promotion.

TV promotion, that 12 random lyrics thing out of 400,000, magazines, giant posters, trucks driving around with her music blaring...

I do wonder how she'll reach the people who aren't in the middle of all of that craziness though. Just through simple TV/radio appearances? How do other artists approach those groups of people that don't see them all over the city?

The billboard looks cool at night.. I hope it'll replace that fugly HSJ poster lol I mean the color is meh and looks so cheap xD

I was in Shibuya yesterday and took some more photos of the poster (as well as a Rimmel display). I'm going to keep posting Ayu promotional pictures as I see them on twitter, since that's easier for me (I'm borrowing a friend's computer and don't want to monopolize it lol); you're welcome to copy them into the thread, and I'll try to post them here when I can.

I don't have a picture of it, but every 7-11 I've been in so far has had a little promo image for Rock'n'Roll Circus behind the counter. I'd imagine that's pretty effective--if you're waiting in line, you're pretty much a captive audience.

The second one is the normal Promo Poster that is handed out to stores to promote, this is NOT the 1st press poster.

The 1st one is defiantly a Poster, every discription on yahoo says B2 Poster, I just don´t know if it´s teh 1st press or Lucky Draw one

I was standing in front of Tower Records in Shibuya this morning when "Microphone" started blasting. I couldn't see it from where I was standing, but think it's safe to say Rock'n'Roll Circus promotional video has is now in rotation for Tower Record's huge, outdoor screen. I'm excited to stop by on Tuesday and see what kind of displays she has. Do they usually just pass out posters or do you get it with a purchase?
