She'll be ok. She has perfumes and tours so she'll still rake in the dough.
At least her oricon chart position isn't N/A like some of my faves.

maze 23rd March 2015 04:20 AM

damn she looked super amazing on music for all 2014

also the album is awesome, Im playing the shi* out of it, Gimme U is my fave it makes me so happy I could cry :cry

munckei 23rd March 2015 01:03 PM

Probably the stupidest question.
But where can you enter for the lottery? I want the calendar, haha, but I can't find a link anywhere?
Help? Please? before it's the 24th of March.

...

Found it, apparently the application acceptance period has ended... Don't know how because it's still the 23... Unless it ended on the 22nd? I'm so confused and saddened.

abestfah 23rd March 2015 01:50 PM

Now she is No.8 in Oricon Chart ~~

I wonder there is no one uploading 15 anniversary live.

Minttulatte 23rd March 2015 01:56 PM

I finally listened to WALK OF MY LIFE through and it's amazing. While I listened, I tried to hear all of the annoying things people here pointed out but heard nothing. I have every reason to believe it's because there are artists in western pop industry that sing in a similar way and I fucking love them. Those artists are Lady Gaga and Rihanna. I've been their fan since 2009 and 2010. Kuu's singing style on this album doesn't feel wrong at all. It fits the style of western pop that this album is full of. And speaking of the western vibe, I could feel it in every song which is exactly what she wanted. This is the album of the year on my personal chart.

If you take a look at japanese amazon, reviews are quite good so far.
http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/aw/review...7128524&sr=8-1
Though there aren't that much so far.

kaled kalil 23rd March 2015 05:43 PM

I saw someone asking about the first image of my set, it's an edit that I did with the opening movie from Dream Music Park. :)

The album still sounds amazing to me, but I still not liking Mercedes and LIFE so GOOD!!...

Delicious n Bold 23rd March 2015 05:52 PM

One of the 1 star album reviews killed me. "Questionable why she released this album. She's already done." I love the subtle drag.

Edit: If you have Mercedes in HQ (like the cd itself) and good speakers, the background sounds kinda funky (like the genre) almost. It's somehow become a top song for me. I love the music in it.

Gustavopc 23rd March 2015 05:55 PM

How come you don't like Mercedes?! That scream at the beginning is soooo eargasmic, I hope she won't skip that for the live perfomances

Also, weren't they supposed to announce more goodies for the tour? So far there's nothing new on the mu-mo shop...

Funny you mention that. I was looking at that and looked through their previous reviews. That person gives every Ayu release 5 stars and every Kuu release 1 star. That drag is a little ironic :p

That's better than I expected after the huge drop the album had after the first day. I mean, "HOTEL" sold pretty much anything and "Dance In The Rain" wasn't commercially relevant either... So, I'm glad with the sales.

I really don't understand people who do shit like this. Why can't you just be an Ayu fan? Why do you have to waste you life spreading hate? It would be different if this was an honest review, but all this shows is that this person seriously has no life.

Minttulatte 23rd March 2015 10:40 PM

Lol, haters are funny. I know one Ayu fan hates Kuu and Namie and then she still wonders why she looks at their live performances and pics all the time. It's so weird. :')

As for Kuu's chart success, I'm tremendously happy. She deserves it. Did this album sell more than Bon Voyage?

oaristos 23rd March 2015 11:05 PM

^ no, Bon Voyage sold 46,091 in its first week.

Delicious n Bold 23rd March 2015 11:06 PM

Well she's still selling over 5 digits so I guess you can say it was a success.

SKYia 23rd March 2015 11:50 PM

I wrote my own review, now that I've listened to the album several times, unfortunately, I still don't feel and don't really like few songs but the general rate is still surprisingly high (I was expecting 5.8-6.5). I'm not good at writing reviews and it's highly subjective (just a reminder).

Yup. I am sticking to my guns on the sales estimate. 45-50k tops. I think sales for this week may be ~4k, then it will drop substantially for third week.

You're awesome for putting up these numbers, Corvina. :D

Miichan 24th March 2015 05:06 AM

Soundscan confirms that the big first day sales came from music cards, and the FC version if oricon happens to count that,
the CD+DVD version sold 8,726 copies but the CD only and CD+blu-ray editions both sold under 3,347 copies and didn't make the chart.
A very smart move to add the music cards while they still count them.

I didn't know before how popular music card is at Japan. By the way, it shows that this album's sale depends on her fanbase exactly and this is the current numbers of her fans are available. :no

Moreover, this is download link for mp3 of FC concert

Link : pan.baidu.com/s/1ntJu0zR

each songs is so short that i can't feel anything. she also sings off-key in some songs. i think i'm more ok with my CD+DVD instead. :eviltongu

I'm pretty sure it's the FC version, which sold that much, not the music cards. Cause it was like that for her last album as well and it didn't have any music cards.

And I do think it's good, that she still has such a pretty large fanbase to get 30k+, as she most probably doesn't have much casual listeners left., who buy the album physically.

Btw. full first week sales are 39,346.

happiholic★ 24th March 2015 01:36 PM

I find it odd that we talk about the sales of most artists in Japan these days. We all know the only mega sellers are gimmicky bands and Namie Amuro. Most acts these days rely on their dedicated fan base for their physical sales. And those fanbases are shrinking as new artists come along. At this point you can only rely on digital charts to tell you how popular a single song is from an artist.

pimenta 24th March 2015 02:53 PM

Kuu is #5 on Recochoku right now.

chocopockymaster 24th March 2015 02:54 PM

I will never fucking understand why avex didn't release Dream Music Park as a standalone DVD/Bluray.

BAD AVEX. BAD.

Gustavopc 24th March 2015 03:26 PM

^ Cause half of it was identical to UNIVERSE Tour? I couldn't see both concerts being released both tbh

Anyway, guys, there's already a new thread, let's take our posts there :)
