She's never a strong physical seller anyway, discarding a few huge hits. (Yuki no Hana, LIFE, Glamorous Sky, STARS) I'm looking forward to how it'll do digitally though!

does anyone know why her single Nagareboshi charted so poorly? i read it was her second worst selling single after Sunao na Mama, which i can understand selling poorly since it was released simultaneously with Yes...but what about Nagareboshi?

No great promotion, just a CM for a random product. I would say it's also because the song isn't one of her best but neither is ALWAYS and look how that one did...

Also, physically it didn't do as well as Candy Girl (18k vs 24k) but it was certified Gold for Chaku Uta Full downloads, but Candy Girl wasn't... So I guess in the end it wasn't particularly less popular.

I don't know, Mika did promotion for the single in TV Music Shows, but i don't like it a lot

its funny because my boyfriend and i both love that single. both nagareboshi and the daishi dance remix of memory. we were discussing it the other day, wondering why it didn't sell more. now i see no one else likes it, hahaha. :)

Even if it had a few TV lives, it wasn't that well received by Japanese public overall. Some people even said it's a bad copy of ORION.. Which is not obviously, unless you listened to it several times to get it's real beauty.
That said, the only tie in the single had was a CM and it was released a month after the single's release.

There's no real explaination for its weak sales, but I would say it's simply because the major public didn't like the song that much. ALWAYS was much more promoted and it a deeper feeling in it. It's about a feeling and it's somehow telling us a story.
I think this is what people liked in it. :)

Ichiban Kirei na Watashi wo (Reggae Disco Rockers Remix) is quite cool actually

Ichiban Kirei na Watashi wo has really started to grow on me more and more. Its a really pretty song. I'm not a huge fan of the Reggae Disco Rockers Remix though, but I have never really liked them a lot. Reggae sound is just not my thing I guess.

The Reggae Disco Rockers remix is actually better than I thought! The original mix still wins though!

Oh yea, and apparently my single is shipped!!! Can't wait to receive it.
